Mother's Day is a time to honor and show our love for the special women in our lives - and for those of us who no longer have the privilege of having our Mothers in our lives, it is a time to reflect on all the things they did to make us the people we are today.
My sister and I were blessed with an exceptional mother, who along with our father, instilled the values that are so important to me today. As I think of my Mother I think of the wonderful childhood I enjoyed. While we may not have been financially rich, our lives were enriched every day by the love and compassion of our mother.
Today I think not only of my mother, but also of how blessed I am to have my wife Janet. She has been a wonderful, loving wife and mother, raising our three children to become responsible, productive adults. Now Janet and I have the joy of watching our children become parents themselves.
Please join me in wishing a very Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful women in our lives.
I encourage you to share your Mother's Day memory with us by leaving a comment here.

MOTHER- She walked upon this earth- A woman blessed- From humble beginnings- She prepared for. Her journey, with knowledge- knowledge was accompanied by faith- A humble nature- A strong spirit-- Along her path were many trials-The struggle to expand her knowledge, to teach others- A world at war, then , and again- The loss of a husband, through separation, then death- The burden of rearing children, largely alone- Though the trials occurred, she moved along her path- With a spirit free of troubles- She was far too busy Teaching-Caring-Giving-Loving -- She left behind, for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all who knew her- A model of quiet dignity, ethical behavior, and a steadfast love for her God and Savior.-- So lest anyone mistake her passing, As tragic and sad, you should know-- Mother is happy and singing Gods praises, In heaven as she did here below. Mother's day 1967 I was finishing my last semester in college before heading for Vietnam. Remember ASTC in Conway? I was so broke I couldn't afford food, let alone a present. A radio station in Little Rock had a contest. For all I know they may have given a box to anyone who called. But they gave one to my Mom.
Thanks for asking. -

My mother died when I was four so I don't have memories of her but if she was anything like her mother (my grandmother) she was a gem. I used to not like Mother's Day and sometimes cry because of this but then when I had my own three sons things changed. Now as a mom of these three handsome sons and grandmother and great grandmother it is a good day. Looking forward to being with family tomorrow. I am truly blessed and thank God for the memories we're making now.

I thank my Lord and Savior that I was given a Godly Mother.. Then later in life I was given a Godly Mother In Law. My family and I were able to serve her today at brunch ( she is 90 yrs old) what a blessing that is. My Mother in law has gone on to be with the Lord, so tonite in honor of her all my husbands family joined together for diner and great memories , We are truly Blessed! I know that this Day may be hard for some people out there , but you can still Thank God for your Mom and honor her memory by being a better Mom yourself or by making others feel the love of God !!

My Moma of 92 years young makes my Mothers Day exceptionally special. She is the beat of my heart. Her love is unending. She has a strong foundation in her Catholic faith which has been passed on down to her family. I want to grow into my golden years as she has - gracefully. I love her dearly. The other two reasons Mothers Day is special are my children. I am blessed in having kind, compassionate, loving, and smart children. I often ask how I managed to have such wonderful chldren. I love them dearly. I miss them as small babies but have grown to respect them as adults. I am proud to have them all in my life. I thank my Moma, daughter, and son for allowing me to share my love with them.

I remember someone slamming my Mum's fingers in the car door and all she said was "Praise the Lord". My Mum set a Christian example in all that she did. She was a lady in the true sense of the word but could go out and drive the truck or do chores as well as anybody. God bless you Mum. Thanks for all you did for us.
