Team Huck News
Thank you for joining Team Huck. Since the beginning of the year over
5,000 volunteers have joined Team Huck. Our goal is to have a major
impact on the New Jersey and Virginia elections this year and support
our Huck PAC endorsed candidates to victory in 2010.
I hope you will continue to be a part of this effort. At least twice per
month moving forward, I will email you updates like this one profiling
efforts in the states and the latest Team Huck News. Please take a
moment to read this email and then forward it to friends and family.
Sincerely,

Volunteer Spotlight
Lori Jungling
Lori is a 39-year-old political newbie. Born and raised in the First
in the Nation Caucus state but yet until this past primary season
I had no idea what a Caucus was. That has now all changed.
After discovering Governor Mike Huckabee she finally understood
what has made her a Republican all of these years and why
conservative core principles are the best for America. She also
came to realize that the power to shape the political landscape
lies in the hands of everyday people just like us. These are the
reasons she volunteered her time for the Huckabee presidential
campaign and why she is now volunteering for Huck PAC.
Lori notes, “I have learned to never underestimate the power
that lies in our hands to make a difference.”
Amanda and Lee Butt
Amanda and Lee started supporting Governor Huckabee during
the first primary debate in 2007. While they didn't know much
about him before the debate, and were actually pulling for Fred
Thompson, but Governor Huckabee's answers to the questions
amazed them so much that they realized that they had chosen
the wrong candidate to support.
As Texas Team Huck Coordinators, both Amanda and Lee are
excited about the opportunities Huck PAC has given them to participate
in helping to rebuild our country.
They often have had people asking, "Why do we want to support a
candidate that lives in another state, and how can we do that,
anyway?" We need to make sure that principled conservatives are
put into office, so that we can take back our country. We need to
support the more liberal states, to help conservatives win. They
need us! We can do so by participating in Huck PAC's phone bank,
donating money, and even promoting online through social networks.
If we all do a little, we will accomplish a lot together!
Amanda notes, “Lee and I are excited to be a part of Governor
Huckabee's organization, Team Huck, and we look forward to doing
our part to restore our country back to its conservative roots!”
DeLinda Ridings
DeLinda Ridings, a South Carolina public school teacher, has been
dedicated to promoting the vision and values of HuckPAC. DeLinda
agreed to take a role as South Carolina State Coordinator, because
she believes strongly in the true conservative values that once
made this country great, and that, given the chance to flourish,
can be great again. Given her background as a person of strong
Christian faith, combined with her BA in political science and public
affairs, DeLinda brings these skills and insights into her role as State
Coordinator, doing all she can to help promote the goals of HuckPAC,
which is endorsing and helping candidates who exhibit true conservative
values get elected to all levels of government. It is from this standpoint
that she and her husband Curtis, of 26 years wish to preserve for their
three children and for the countless number of children across the nation.
DeLinda’s vision for the future is to eventually leave the school system
to fully dedicate her time to helping conservative candidates get elected,
and to work behind the scenes promoting these much-needed values
in our society.
DeLinda notes, “Our day is just beginning again; the tone of the country
is changing. The fiscal and social conservative values that were recognized
by Americans have not been seen since the Reagan era. My husband
and I believe Governor Huckabee holds these values in high regard, and
with this common vision, we believe God will continue to bless the
United States.”
State Spotlight - Iowa
House Parties for Vander Plaats By Lori Jungling, Iowa Coordinator
Last weekend two Team Huck members hosted house parties for
Huck PAC endorsed candidate Bob Vander Plaats for Iowa Governor.
Katie Borwey, County Leader, and her husband Jim hosted a party
in Urbandale and Melody Borucki, State Coordinator, and her husband
Paul hosted the other one in West Des Moines.
I attended both of these house parties and have now realized the
importance of them for candidates. Bob Vander Plaats was able to
mingle with the guests in a one-on-one situation and then he also
spoke to the whole group and had a question and answer session.
The effectiveness of these house parties for a campaign is their ability
to spread positive information about a candidate by word of mouth.
The people who attended these house parties for Bob Vander Plaats
are now filled with important knowledge about him and are energized
to spread the word and have their own house parties in which they will
introduce Bob to more people.
Huck PAC Endorsed Candidate Bob Vander Plaats Sets the Pace For
GOP Primary Field
Bob Vander Plaats is well on his way to becoming the GOP candidate,
and the next Governor of Iowa. With 46% of Republican voters
choosing Bob, and his nearest competitor at only 14%, Bob is setting
the pace for others to follow.
This strong showing of support from Republicans in Iowa proves that
they believe Bob can deliver on his promises. They know that Bob
will stand strong for conservative principles, like lowering taxes, the
sanctity of life, and traditional marriage.
Bob is a candidate Iowans can trust, and one all of America can look
to for leadership in the future.
