In Henderson Nevada and at my office we are always up for a party. What surprised me though is how energized people really are about the country and the important problems we are facing. Everyone had a good time and there were many topics discussed. A big deal that came up was how disappointed we all are as Nevadans that our Senator (Harry Reid) did not come to our defense when the President talked down Las Vegas as a destination for tourism. This seems to have struck a nerve amongst everyone in Henderson and Las Vegas to some extent. It was agreed that the waste that occurred when large outings to our valley were canceled (many paid deposits on these trips) was just what was NOT needed in these times. Often the corporate trips to Las Vegas were canceled at the President's urging and then replaced with trips to other cities that were MORE expensive than ours. Our economy is largely tourism based, so its a sensitive subject. One great idea that came out of the party was to organize a national HUCKPAC party and have it here in Nevada, just to show the new administration that we think Las Vegas is still the nation's entertainment capital! This and many other reasons are why we look forward to the election so that we can join together and vote Mr. Reid out of office. The timing could not have been better for a nice get together to discuss issues like these - we are glad to be HUCK PAC Nevadans.
