I hate sounding like a broken record but we ALL need to challenge our pastors, elders and church leaders to preach and teach the whole counsel of God's Word so our people will know how to make the right decisions in everything, including our elections. We need to get them into serious personal Bible study.
Then and only then can we get a man like Mike Huckabee in office in 2012. -

Apparently most people think that Christianity can be boxed up and put into the closet until the next major disaster (ie 9-11) comes up. If you remember right after 9-11 the churches were packed.
By the way. I think I know what Obama's favorite prayer is....

Being just 2/3 of the way through Huck's new book (SO awesome, don't you all agree?!?), I am reminded of all that Hannity, Rush, Ingraham, and Beck did to ruin Mike's chances of becoming our nominee. They single-handedly undermined the process and reported lies (i.e. in Florida..."Mike Huckabee has dropped out of the race" - NOT!), just so they could get a seat at King Saul's table. I also agree with what Mike says in his book about Gary Bauer. I wrote to Bauer after the primaries, asking him to remove me from his email list and letting him know how very disappointed I was in him.
If Mike decides to run in 2012 (I pray he does, if God leads him to), his biggest fight is not going to be Willard Mitchell Romney himself. Romney can destroy himself very easily on his own. The biggest fight is going to be against Rush, Hannity, Ingraham, Beck, and Bauer. These are the money hungry conservatives who spit in the eye of those of us who care about fiscal AND social conservatism.
Mike is right...the GOP needs a COMPLETE overhaul! And that process beings now and it begins with US.
Keep fighting the good fight. Fight for Truth!

The guy is so presumptuous that he has created the "Office of the President Elect" http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2008/11/25/despite-bells-whistles-office-president-elect-holds-authority/.
The way he is behaving, you'd think he's already sitting behind the desk is the Oval Office. He is so full of himself that Thursday's turkey would look anemic in front of him.
Look at the liberal powerhouse he is placing into his Cabinet. Even the turncoat, Colin Powel and I used to respect the man. I wonder was position Jesse Jackson will hold in Obama's ontourage? -

Please pardon the insensitive nature of this comment, but trying to find a cure for this current free market crisis by introducing principles that are not congruent with the established system is kind of like an emphysema patient looking for a miracle cure after thirty years of chain smoking--the negative effects might be prolonged by treatment, but ultimately the condition is irreversable.
The only positive hope we have is that our system is rebuildable, and can come back even stronger after we pick up the pieces; ie, reform the system of government interventionist policies of Frank and Dodd in regard to the mortgage industry, remove epa and other standards that are strangling the auto industry, and bring reform and oversight to the unions. Polical correctness and special interest must go if we want our country to remain strong.
Their is a slight fear of the current internal and external challenges in regard to socio-economic and security threats that if handled wrongly could put our country in critical condition. (As viewed through the prism of history) but with the right steps we can prove the resiliency of our great country.
I hope there is a wide divergence of ideas and schools of thought on the table, because obviously a narrow vein of thought isn't going to cut it. How much is the appropriation of a trillion dollars of tax money that normally goes for government spending going to cut into our budget. We have military, and national security that money most be appropriated to and maybe even increased in the near future depending on the shape of things in the Middle East and Russia. Have our leaders been looking forward to what this appropriation entails, and can it cripple "critical" spending?
So let me get this straight (according to the current administration's philosophy) its not ok to give tax cuts to corporations, but we can give a trillion dollars of of TAX PAYER money to them? Whats the difference, except for the fact that these corporations will be getting an even bigger break at the CITIZENS' expense. Why don't we give the corporations a "tax rebate" that is congruent with what they paid the previous year and then reorganize the tax code to give them further breaks in the next several years. Why did someone that I personally know with a history of being turned into collection agencies get application after application for credit cards over the previous year? (no, it isn't me.)

Isn't it amazing that the market was really booming under Pres. Bush the past 4 years and that it tanked right before the election?
Isn't it also amazing that the banks and treasury secretary did not follow the Paulson Plan and instead of writing off troubled mortgage assets and putting money into loans, banks instead bought up other banks to form huge conglomerate banks?
Isn't it amazing that president-elect Obama is now being forced to admit that he will have to wait and let the Bush Tax Cuts expire in 2011 instead of taking the ax to them right away?
In that light, maybe we don't need another stimulus package and Congressional spending spree.
Maybe we just need good old-fashioned budget balancing tax cutting that will causes business to rebound, create lots of jobs, and bring a ton of money into the coffers.
Maybe if we toss the IRS out on its ear, and get rid of the Dept. of Education, and cut the capital gains tax down to Zero Percent, American Families could breathe again.
What on earth did we ever do before 1913 (when the income tax was birthed) and 1979 (when Jimmy Peanut Carter signed the Dept. of Ed. into law) ???????
How did we ever survive without all that government intervention?

Don’t be distracted by the birth certificate and Indonesia issues. They are irrelevant to Senator Obama’s ineligibility to be President. Since Barack Obama’s father was a Citizen of Kenya and therefore subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of Senator Obama’s birth, then Senator Obama was a British Citizen “at birth”, just like the Framers of the Constitution, and therefore, even if he were to produce an original birth certificate proving he were born on US soil, he still wouldn’t be eligible to be President.

I know the feeling you have about making those calls. I was scared to death to make them during the Huckabee primaries. I held off as long as I could, but it bothered me so much that I finally just dove in. Believe it or not, it became easier and easier. Then I wondered why I ever thought this was hard. I don't even let the hang-ups bother me. I surprised myself by making about 2,000 of them. Reading from the script really helps. However, I try not to let it sound so "canned"....... well, if it helps, I really do understand. Some of the people are really very nice.
However, you have already done an awful lot. Waving those pompoms and all of the financial giving you do, etc., etc. !!

I made 100 calls yesterday. As I said yesterday that my cell phone is a tracfone and I do not have unlimited minutes. I pay as I go. My land line phone will not allow me to do telemarketing and that is what they call this. I spent a number of hours yesterday on the phone and I am depleting my minutes on the phone ........ I will need to go out and purchase more airtime as well.
All I am saying is ..... that I am willing to make the calls and continue to do so as well as pay for my calls.
Will you be the one to help HuckPac with a donation to keep me on the phones ?

"A review of that docket and the Rule 10 of the Supreme Court makes abundantly clear that Justice Souter's granting of a review on the Writ of Certiorari is not a right entitled to citizen Phil Berg, but rather is a matter of judcial discretion based upon a compelling reason. That compelling reason is the Constitutional requirement that "No person except a natural born citizen...shall be eligible to the office of President..."

Alan4Huck: Don't worry about other countries discovering the FairTax before we implement it here in the U.S. That would only hurry things along here and force us to become competitive.

Click on My Huckpac on the right side of the screen. That will open a small box on the left side. Then click on dashboard. Then on the right side you'll see something that says Ranger code or Donor code. You will get credit for raising money when someone uses your donor code to make a contribution.
If you want to donate to another Ranger, when you click on the contribution page it will ask for an event code. This is where you put the Ranger code.

I'm going to try to get on the phone bank on Monday. I just registered today after thinking I had already registered so I'm kind of wandering around the site and trying to get use to it.
My question is why do some have donor codes? I thought I saw a doner code assigned to me but I don't know where it is, how do I find it? I have seen it mentioned to donate to keep cheering them on, where do you do that? I guess you all can tell I'm a newbie but if you can help me I would very much appreciate it. Thanks.

I think when it says no charges, it means you are not charging Huckpac to make the calls. The calls will show up on your phone bill.
I'm sure Mike does not expect anyone to make calls they can't afford. Some people have unlimited minutes on weekends with no long distance charge.
If you can't afford anything else, hang around and be a cheerleader for the cause.
If you pray, pray for the ones making the calls and the ones receiving them.
Make a small 5.00 donation to someone making calls. It will cheer them on.

Could someone please help clarify something about the Phone bank?
During the primaries, significant long distance charges were in fact incurred.When "logging on" to the phone bank, there are 3 criteria one must affirm.
The first includes the statement that "no costs have been incurred."
Since it is not known how this phone bank is set up, how can one know whether long distance charges will apply? I do NOT have unlimited LD & can't use cell minutes to make the calls either...
Wish to support Governor Huckabee; don't want to disappoint him in any way but unfortunately am unable to make further contributions. Hope he doesn't misconstrue that in any way as indifference or worse, loss of support, and take minor comfort in the belief he would not expect anyone to contribute if these resources are truly needed for other necessities.
Making at least a few calls as Mike requested is the least anyone can do...I just need to know in advance more about this phone bank so I don't get a nasty surprise in the mail when the bill arrives, as occurred during primaries.
Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.
Also, am disappointed his book tour doesn't include any state in the entire Northeast...
not that I blame anyone - it's not only bitterly cold, it's intensely BLUE, depressingly. -

Hey, everyone should be aware of the Lan Lamphere web radio show. They are on Monday - Fridays at 10 p.m.. They have been covering the Lawsuits against the Presidential cadidates and the secretary of state for various states.
The Law suits state that these people did not do their jobs in enforcing the constitution and making sure that qualified people run for Prez. One lead lawyer from New Jersey whose first name is Leo is doing a very good job and pushing for the US Supreme Ct to consider the case. And they will on Dec. 5.
The radio show's servers where attacked last night and almost made the show to crash.
This is serious business and we need to here from Gov. Huckabee on this issue. The Lawyer Leo from NJ is having a very hard time with the Court system and people trying to sabotosh the case.
