George Allen
For United States Senate 2012
Virginia
Huckabee Releases Statement about Allen's bid for election as United States Senator from Virginia
Little Rock, AR - Governor Mike Huckabee issued the following statement about George Allen:
Huck PAC and I are proud to endorse George Allen for United States Senator from Virginia.
Virginia is a prime battleground for what kind of America our children and grandchildren will inherit, and George Allen has my full support for U.S. Senate. George Allen is a proven leader whose record shows his commitment to conservative principles and positive results for families and job creators. The outcome of George Allen’s Senate race will determine if we have Harry Reid continuing to obstruct in the Senate, or if our nation can once again be strong and prosperous with leaders who understand America’s founding principles and will work to repeal and replace Obamacare and stop Washington’s out of control spending.
George Allen, the son of a NFL legend, learned early in life that family would always serve as the one constant in a life filled with ups and downs. George learned the concept and importance of faith by observing the coaching skills of his father. Allen describes himself as a "Common Sense Jeffersonian Conservative." Elected as Governor of Virginia in 1994 George set about to bring sweeping reform that would make Virginia a national model in economic development, public safety, education accountability, welfare reform, and creative government. He was originally elected to the United States Senate in 2000 and quickly consolidated his reputation as a "Common Sense Jeffersonian Conservative."
George is running to regain his seat as a United States Senator, after narrowly losing the 2006 election in the year of a strong showing by Democrats across the country. Allen likes to say that he looks at the future through the eyes of his children. He advocates for ideas and solutions that rein in our nation's overreaching and overspending government, creating a pro-growth environment for American competiveness and jobs, and unleashing our diverse American energy resources for American jobs and national security.
He recognizes that the family is the backbone of our society. George Allen believes that we must adhere to the foundational principles of freedom, opportunity for all, and personal responsibility for ourselves and our families, rather than accept dictates, redistribution and dependency on government.
I hope you will join the Huck PAC family and me in supporting George Allen for United State Senator from Virginia.
