Barack Obama just announced he supports same-sex marriage. Nancy Pelosi immediately jumped on the announcement and emailed Democrat activists nationwide promising to continue their fight. This is going to be a defining issue this election. Obama, Pelosi and the Democrats have been a complete failure on economic issues so now they are going to focus on issues that will rile up their base.
Well, Mr. President it's going to rile up our folks also. Men and women who support traditional marriage.
Now I know you support traditional marriage, but what I really need to know today, is will you fight for it this election? If so, please send a donation of $10 or more to Huck PAC immediately. We only support candidates who support traditional marriage and who are pro-life. We'll make sure Congress and our state legislatures are stacked with conservatives who don't want our President and the federal government defining marriage for us.
I hope you will help us today. We are counting on it.

Re: PC Comics
(Classic Huckabee Report, May 23 Morning podcast: DC Comics)
I suspect Mike does not expect DC Comics to act like "Disciples of Christ." But fans do appreciate allegories.
But for DC Comics to treat its business more like "District of Columbia" than "detective comics" cannot be a good sign.
To "intricately weave person-hood issues into the mysterious comic world is one thing; to politicize gay marriage is another.
Mike calls DC Comics PC Comics. And he leaves room for creative interpretation of "PC" Let's see...personality crisis.

Re: On Real Breaking News
In all due respect, this is not breaking news, governor. He is beholden to the established NE-style of leadership. And that's to follow MA policy.
The only thing that could help our president at this time would be to have to work with a GOP-led House and Senate. This "marriage" would at least force the president to learn what it means to compromise for the health of the "nation."
As for real breaking news, if Governor Romney announces he has asked you to be his vp pick, that will be real breaking news. Many of us sitting home would have to deeply re-consider this pairing.
Like our president, Mitt has no way of knowing how to free himself from the MA system he helped create; he also did not have a long enough governing record to demonstrate he knows how to fix policies he helped create that went sour.
Yep, I think the real breaking news would be to hear Gov. Romney selecting you as his vp pick. Gov. Mitch Daniels is another good pick, but Mitch said he did not wish to run for president to keep his family out of the spot light. Perhaps Mitch would be asked to help pick the vp.

God has blessed this nation because although not perfect, we are still considered to be a Christian Nation, however when we remove God Almighty from the moral foundation that has held this country together for over 200 years, it will not matter what the issues are, we will fall.

To Fielder, John:
God makes no blunders. And homosexuality isn't a genetic trait. It's a choice just like being a pedophile is a choice. It's also a sin.
So, call it what you want, but you need to wise up and see it for what it is. A deal breaker decision on ones salvation.

Oh good grief. Are you really still banging this same, tired old drum? You're at least 20 years behind the times socially, and now you're behind the times politically, too.
Why on earth would you isolate and bully a hard-working, law-abiding segment of the community like this?
Heck, you need the votes.

Thank you, Governor Huckabee, for responding to this issue in a clear and strong fashion. The traditional family is the backbone of our society. Bit by bit, naivete about the homosexual lifestyle is eroding our educational and governmental philosophies and drawing us ever closer to the proverbial "slippery slope," with its nonsensical and chaotic consequences.
Please keep standing for the God-given institution of marriage as a union between one man and one woman.
Another area of immediate concern is the approaching vote by the Senate on the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST). See the link below to an interview by Glenn Beck with Senator Jim DeMint. Please consider having Senator DeMint or Dick Morris, author of "Screwed," on your Fox TV show, Huckabee, to discuss the significance of this international treaty to the sovereignty of the United States.

How does gay marriage threaten traditional marriage? If you want to protect traditional marriage, outlaw divorce and making pre-marriage counseling mandatory before the wedding. I'm sick and tired of hearing about traditional values, like heterosexuals corner the market on decent behavior as it pertains to relationships, and gays are running around like a bunch of maniacs. I'm sorry, but if God finds it to be such an abomination, then he made a pretty massive blunder in having it be a genetic trait (as evidenced by other species besides humans, namely elephants, penguins, lions, etc., displaying homosexual behavior in the animal kingdom as well). Why in the world would anyone submit themselves to the type of abuse and ridicule homosexuals experience every single day if it weren't for the fact that what they are is not a choice? If it was a behavior, wouldn't there be instances of rehabilitized individuals, like with reformed drug addicts and alcoholics? One would think, but there's not (and no, Ted Haggard doesn't count). I guess if I was in charge of the GOP, I wouldn't be trying to persecute a group of people who are trying to live normal lives and find happiness, I'd put away my petty prejudices and accept them as they are. Heck, maybe I'd even try to bring them into the fold and try to win a few of their votes instead of shooting myself in the foot and ensuring my party stayed stuck in the Stone Age. There is no going back on this, and taking that into consideration, I would think that being on the right side of history would start to factor in a little more heavily.

I guess HuckPak only supports candidtes for national office and state office. The City of Houston mayor, Annise Parker, who is openly gay, received a call from the White House. The Houston Chronicle quoted her as saying, "Wow! I was wrong. Call from WHite House. The President has stepped up and stated his support for recognizing relationships...like mine!"
What a blemish on the City of Houston to have a Godless woman leading the city!
Fortunately, the Texas governor, Rick Perry, is unswerving in his opposition to gay marriage. His spokeswoman was quoted as saying, "Governor Perry's unwavering commitment is to the sanctity of marriage, defined as a union between one man and one woman."
Thanks for continuing to support God's plan for marriage!

Mike,
I believe this will play into our favor come November. I like to believe that most Americans still have their heads on straight and will vote against gay marriage supporters.
After all, most Americans are still God fearing followers of the Lord.

"he" is desparate and is going to say and do ANYTHING to land votes. He is on a fishing expedition and heaven only knows what other ploys he and his cronies have up their sleeves. I do not support gay marriage and although I am unable to contribute at this time my thoughts and prayers are with you and your campaign to make him a one-term president (no capitalized on purpose).

Kind of given up on the GOP. Thought that you would remember how the Establishment treated you. But it seems that almost all are getting "Sucked" in by the Powers at be, Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Rick Santorum ...
If you do not want Obama again, it may be a good thing that he may self destruct with independents as pulls away from previous positions. I often contribute when it hurts, but Romney and the GOP are on their our in the battle for the POTUS. Honest truth is right now no one has my vote. I live in California (CD-4) and have a great congressman in McClintock. Hoping for someone of constitutional character to run against Dianne Feinstein. I have the Energy to help for that effort. -

Hi Governor,
No I DON'T agree with same sex marriage, its against God, nature, the bible AND my values. We didn't vote for obama and will NOT be voting for him in this election. I WISH we could donate to the Romany campaign and we can't afford to donate to appose this. I read what you posted and we just can't donate. I sure wish we could, but we are just getting by now. We are retired and don't have anything but Social Security and a little money saved up. We are hurting.
Good luck with you efforts and I hope you get what you need to fight obama.
Sincerely a fan of your,
Nancy Kenney -

Shame on you for riling up your base to raise money against American citizens. Citizens who work hard everyday to provide for their families and fight for their country. People who just want the same rights as everyone else and are tired of being treated less than. For women who want the government out of their body. Shame on you.

I would love to contribute, but can't. I was fired after returning from medical leave and don't have the funds to contribute, but I want you to know that I do NOT support same-sex marriages and am appauled that our "President" does... makes me sick.
