Broken Promises

I’m sure you will remember back in March, when the health care legislation was being so hotly debated. At the time, Congressman Bart Stupak, a Democrat from Michigan, said that he would not vote for any legislation that included federal funding for abortions. He said that he would ONLY vote for President Obama’s health care legislation as long as the President would issue an Executive Order clarifying that no federal funds would be used for abortions.

The President signed an Executive Order purporting to do just that.

It is unfortunate that Cong. Stupak and his small band of followers didn’t listen to the pro-life warning sirens in March – when they warned of obvious pathways created by Obamacare that lead straight to federal funds being used to pay for abortions. Still, Cong. Stupak and several other blue dog Democrats trusted President Obama and voted for his health care bill.

Fast forward to the present: Pro-Life organizations just reported that more than $160 million in federal funding was being allocated to state high-risk insurance pools in Pennsylvania and New Mexico that included abortion services.

After this news surfaced, the Department of Health and Human Services was quick to post a statement rejecting this claim. Then they issued a second statement promising to communicate to state agencies that federal funds for patients with “pre-existing conditions will not” be used for abortion services.

While that is certainly good news, it does nothing to alleviate the concerns of pro-life Americans. After all, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has still never refuted her comments in a letter to Democratic and Republican congressional leaders on the implementation of the President’s healthcare law when she wrote, “States may choose whether and how they participate in the program, which is funded by the federal government.”

I believe this confusion between the states, the federal government and HHS, only proves the President’s Executive Order on this issue is meaningless and can’t be relied on to protect the lives of the unborn.

Whether the policy consequence was intended or not, this latest revelation is sadly just another example of a President whose track record with the truth has left many Americans scratching their heads.

I want to remind you:

-  It was this President who said if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor – but even the New York Times reported that in fact, under Obamacare, that’s not necessarily might not be the case.

-  It was this President who said, “We must pass the stimulus to keep unemployment from reaching double digits,” However, a year after its passage, the unemployment rate had already skyrocketed to double digits, and continues to hover around 10%.

-  It was this President who said, he “will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days,” but that hasn’t been true – many bills have been signed within hours or days of passage.

-  It was this President who said, “we'll have the negotiations (about healthcare) televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies,” instead, the meetings were held behind closed doors.

-  It was this President who said he was, “committed to returning earmarks to less than $7.8 billion a year, the level they were at before 1994." However, for the fiscal year 2010, total earmarks are costing taxpayers $15.9 billion.

As I’ve said many times before, elections have consequences – but at least we can do something about it come November. Support Huck PAC as we continue working tirelessly to elect conservative candidates and send them to our State Capitals and to Washington D.C. – let’s hold our elected officials accountable for their promises.

Mr. Huckabee: My husband and I agree with you, on everything we've heard you say. We've come from a long line of professed Democrats, with a few professed Republicans, thrown in here and there.
Would you please tell us, in your own words, what a Democrat is SUPPOSED to believe and do, as well as what a Republican is SUPPOSED to believe and do. We honestly do not know or understand, what is the Democrats deal with the "electorial votes"? I believe thats what it's called. When a states whole vote, can be changed with one persons vote. How do these people get this power? Why do the Republicans not do the same. I do not agree with this at all. Please, inform us whatever you can, we do not know if we should declare either party, so we don't. Doe's this make us "Liberals"? Your time and consideration will be so appreciated here, we trust you to know and tell it like it is. Thanks. BW

This president and his lemmings are a clear and present danger, a total disaster, to our nation.

They shook down BP for $20 Billion, under threat of criminal lawsuits, right there in the Oval Office. (Where do they get the authority to do that?)

They killed the offshore energy industry in the Gulf with an aribitrary and capricious moratorium. Tens of thousands of jobs have left Louisiana and Texas for other countries, never to come back.

When Gov. Jindal approach Prez Obama about it, Obama told him not to worry: they would pay all those who lost their jobs out of the $20B they confiscated from BP.

Get it? Have you connected the dots? This radical-left president is deliberately forcing masses of people from employment to government dependency using funds ripped right out of the hands of "evil corporations."

What do his defenders and apologists have to say for themselves now? Answer: (audio) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g04aCp3ej-I

Watch dog for basic human rights in congress Chris Smith (NJ) says not even presidents are above the law so as to break it. Smith who has been interviewed on a past Huckabee Show is in a real battle with the pro-life, pro-self governing, pro-family, pro-African values people in Kenya who feel like they are getting shafted.

Americans are very concerned and tired of a President who says one thing and means another. We have begun to believe that Obama may actually hate our country and want it to fail. There seems to be no other explanation for him to continue pushing such harmful policies, raising the taxes and debt that our children and grandchildren will pay for in the coming many years.

Gov. Huckabee, I am praying you will strongly consider running for President. I completely agree with your comments above and am glad you are on top of the issues. We need a man of character as well as executive experience, such as Mike Huckabee could offer, with God's help. I know that would be a heavy decision, so I am...

As bad as this is, we cannot depend on the Republican Party to do much about it. The Republican Party will receive NO MORE direct contributions from me. All my donations will be funneled through HuckPac. Mike, you're the only hope the Republicans have for the White House in 2012. I'm praying for your campaign already.

    #1 Broken Promise

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

From the Constitution that Obama took an oath to uphold:

"No person shall . . .be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law."

Obama now has a growing assassination hit list Of Americans.

    From MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan:

    More from Salon.com's Glenn Greenwald:

    Life? A trivial thing.

Liberty? Gets in the way of the workers' paradise we are building.

Private Property? What's that? Property belongs to the Collective.

Right to keep and bear arms? Kagan et al will be sure to rationalize that out of existence.

If and when this actually occurs that the money is used and put aside for abortions we can offer to doctors double the money that they get for an abortion if they talk the women out of the abortion and do not perform the abortion. We can also offer free health care to the women to care for the child. As you and I know it's about the money. It's a solution.

My opinion is that pro-choice is the time when a person has the freedom to choose between having sex and not having sex, because 9 times out of 10 a women will get pregnant.(Not based on statistics) The choice is over then. God has chosen in favor of life at that point.

Also, I just bought this book entitled "The History of Philosophy" by Bertrad Russell. In the introduction he makes the case for morals and this is what he says: (this substantiates a previous statement I made, that people should not always get what they want as far as throwing aside morals goes)

"What has happened in the great age of Greece happened again in Renaissance Italy: traditional moral restraints disappeard, because they were seen to be associated with superstition; the liberation from fetters made individuals energetic and creative, producing a rare florescence of genius; but the anarchy and treachery which inevitably resulted from the decay of morals made Italians collectively impotent, and they fell, like the Greeks, under the domination of nations less civilized than themselves but not so destitute of social cohesion."

Do people in the United States think that morals do not need to be apart of our way of life?

What people do you see in the US that are from another country which we might be concerned with that have greater "social cohesion" that we need to close off our borders from?

Additionally, the philosopher Pythagoras (from Kroton) has said that we need to return to the old laws, this was in 455 BC, around the time of Parmenides, another philosopher who was from Elea. They had these same moral issues with new laws and old laws, way back when and they used to go into the darkness of caves and meditate to get answers to current problems, from the others realms of existence where all solutions can be found. Much like perhaps we need to do.

People in government have a very important responsibility to represent the people of our great nation America. Intelligent people have the ability to think about things and come to different conclusions along the way. You may want to say they are waffling, but I would say that if you're not able to have a maleable perspective on important issues regarding the people of our nation then you are not being a Centrist enough to be elected President. Remember how former President George Herbert Walker Bush said he would not raise taxes and yet in 1990 he had to do just that raise taxes. We need a kinder gentler nation I have to agree. Please find real solutions for America and stop pointing fingers at the people you oppose.

Huck, I worry about pay offs that this "government" in power may try to make to candidates running in the upcoming election. I'm sure they are scheming some kind of rebuke like they did to get Obama elected. I am depending alot on Christian Coalition when looking at local candidates. Do you think this is a wise decision?? I listen intentally to what you and Sara Palin have to say. Can you give us some words of wisdom on North Carolina candidates?? Thank you for you time. Backing you all the way.

Gov. Huckabee: Love your show on Fox. As to the President and his lies, he is from Chicago and it is Chicago politics. If the people had listedned to him while he was campaigning they would have heard what he was really saying. He ran on a pack of lies and has been lying ever since. Too bad he can't be tried for lying to Congress, the Senate and the people. He is bad for America and needs to go. Keep up the good work Gov.

I could not agree more. I am very concerned by this Administration's "look at what I say, not at what I do". They are really wonderful when you hear what they want you to hear, every thing is lollipops and roses; then you read the legislation and it is terrifying. Keep up the good work pointing out the lies and dishonesty pouring out of the White House.

You've got my support, Huck. I'm a former Marine, small business owner, a patriot and most important, a Christian. I, like many of my fellow countrymen, am quite concerned about the goings on in "their" government. I believe that it is even more serious than one might think. I truly believe that he is out to bring this country to ruins. It could well be possible that the BP oilwell disaster could have been sabotage;if not ordered by him, was done with his knowledge. Look at all the things that he's done that are outright mockeries of red blooded Americans and our way of life. Their next strategy will be to cut their losses by having representatives that are in danger of losing their seats to suddenly start speaking out against their own party's policies to hold on to those who might swing to our side. You and I both know that it is a ploy. no doubt orchestrated by you know who. I further believe that whoever takes him on cannot do it in a passive manner as did Mccain in his run. You'll have to call him out on every issue and do it with authority. Be prepared for his rhetoric and rebuttals. I know that you are a very busy man, but I would like to discuss some other things with you. I have what I believe to be some good ideas as I am a true cross section of this country. Born to an old Kentucky moonshiner father who was shot and killed when I was 10,leaving my mother to raise six children by herself with me being the oldest. I'm now 54 years old, married to a woman from Mexico that came here legally.

You are SO right, Mike! I was particularly ticked off to hear the "special provisions" that now fund abortion. At least New Mexico backed off - under PRESSURE. The Obama administration has lied over and over, and they think no one sees it. I am sick of them thinking that "average folk" are just TOO STUPID to understand what's going on. How arrogant!
