01/31/2010 04:56 PMI liked what you said about the 13 Trillion overdraft. I also notification America is not an oil sheik with unlimited funds to spend. America is in Debt and should be attacking the root causes and really do something about it. Americas Debt is a huge Red Flag and needs to be addressed and not ignored. When does the interest on the debt hit 1 Trillion a year?
I hate debt.
Ron for the Fair Tax which could help with resolving all of these problems we are currently facing today. See FairTax.org to replace the I.R.S. with The Fair Tax.

Gov. Huckabee,
I'm not too familiar with blogging but I want to make a comment about and ask you a question.
I am 70 yrs. "young" and rely on my social security for my living. Obama said he was going to put a freeze on spending but not including defense, social security, medicare, etc. Well I do have a freeze on my social security and it will be for 2 years. My question is: if this country is hurting monetarily so bad, how is it I have a freeze on my social security and I understand congress just voted themselves a nice fat raise?
I supported you in the primary here in Missorui and I will support you in 2012. Thanks for listening.

As a HuckPAC coordinator in the Hudson Valley, I am happy to start spreading the word that our own Pat Ziegler, a fellow HuckPAC coordinator, has begun the early steps to secure the GOP nomination for the 20th district. GOP chairmen from key counties are lining up, and even with that support, this will be a tea party, 9/12er, grass roots campaign.
All of you in HuckPAC know Pat's zeal and fervor - now we need to back him as the GOP establishment is lining up to do the same.
Support PAT. Visit him on facebook. He has not officially declared, but within several weeks he will.
I ask my fellow Huckabites, Tea party folks and other liberty minded conservatives to spread the word.

New Jersey, Virginia, & even Massachusetts turning now to republican candidates proves that the down-played grassroots 'Tea Party' and other conservative movements are not small fringe groups but rather the overwhelming sentiments of a nation outraged by representatives selectively tone deaf to the Will of the People.
America doesn't want government run healthcare because we know what happens to anything the government touches--we get sub-par results and terribly overrun costs into the billions.
America doesn't want to pay even higher taxes to fund bigger government and more pet projects when making ends meet today and paying the bills this month is front and center. We don't want government handouts because we know that's borrowed money with interest coming from the taxpayers' wallet, but rather the government to stop taxing our employers to death through Cap & Trade and adding costs to our energy bills especially without globally everyone on board where we only hurt ourselves pointlessly, stop growing in size and spending billions we don't have, stop trying to throw money at problems in the immediate when we know the devastating long-term effects it creates, stop forcing socialized medicine on us demanding we all pay for abortion costs that will accelerate the national annual rate when 52 million abortions have occurred in the US since 1972 Roe vs Wade. We are tired of Washington's all-or-nothing approach demanding their partisan extremist bills be passed & claiming that the opposition is the "Party of 'No'" for not going along with their flawed, terrible, masochistic bills that further damages this great nation's economic stability and moral fabric.
FULL SPEED AHEAD FOR 2010.
This is our golden opportunity to turn 2010 into a reminiscent 1994 where conservatives took back the Congress and showed that extremist views forced upon the country would not be tolerated in this great democracy and our voices will be heard loud & clear at the polls come November. I support HuckPAC because I don't want watered down 'safe-bet' conservatives in red states promoted just for the sake of winning, but to promote genuine conservative common-sense principles applied to today's challenges that can really make a difference.
Fiscal sanity. Individual freedoms. Small government. Pro-Job policies protecting national economic vitality.
If the unemployment rate is staying over 10%, that means over 10% of Americans that would be paying taxes aren't and that equates to billions in lost revenue.
Instead of the government simply growing unsustainable government jobs paid for by taxpayers, why don't they get out of the way of American companies that globally export products and services and help offset our trade imbalance? Why don't we stimulate American industries that dominate internationally so that our nation can continue to be the leader & create good-paying jobs here at home? Why doesn't the government tighten its belt and only spend what it takes in (a.k.a. fiscal sanity)??
I am so sick and tired of our Government struting around the world's stage as if we're Middle Eastern oil sheiks that can't figure out how to spend our billions!! Billions for Global climate change, billions for buying off foreign governments, billions for stupid pet projects, and we're $13 TRILLION IN DEBT!! Can anyone say, "Sorry, we don't have any money for you; in fact, our checking account is in overdraft for $13 Trillion, so perhaps we need to only operate running core essentials such as police, education, roads, etc. and start turning the rudders before the we hit the iceberg.
FYI: We are expected to borrow as much money as out annual GDP this year for the 1st time in our nation's history--which Greenspan warned is a troubling marker to hit for any nation. Can anyone say, "Danger Zone"? Thanks.
On a side note, if anyone knows anyone needing a job in this tough economy, apply online on costco.com. They're hiring now, avg pay is $17/hr w/ 90% employer-paid benefits, 401(k), and paid sick/vacation time for full-time AND part-timers! Check it out. Cheers! -

Congratulations to Governor Huckabee and the Huck Pac staff for a job very well done.
The "quick hits" are very revealing. In particular, breaking down quarterly donations: The worst quarter was the second -- from April to June 2009; the best was the last quarter -- about four times greater than the second quarter.
The strongest number, however, is the amount of "donors": 16,000+. That beats evryone else -- Palin had the next highest at 14,000 donors, and look at how well-known she is. But Huck Pac leads with 16,000+ == congratulations!
In total, Huck Pac had 15,270 donations -- sometimes the same donor makes several donations periodically. Palin had 22,000 donations == i.e., more donations although she actually had less donors-- all of which means that Palin contributors donated more money per contribution and probably more often. In other words, Huck Pac had more individuals donating than Palin -- but with less dollars and less often.
Things to take away:
1. If you are going to contribute, say, $10 -- break it up, into two donations of $5 -- over a two-week period of so. This way his donations number increases (even though the donation itself is the same).
2. Nobody -- not even Newt -- is raising anywhere near the amounts needed to run a presidential campaign; so these "fundraisers" are all window dressing. What will count in the end is a strong contributor base that can be tapped often. Eventually you need big donors also, of course -- that comes with the territory of winning primaries and becoming the actual frontrunner (instead of perceived) but Huckabee's contributor base is definitely growing: That is why his 4th quarter produced the greatest donations.
3. Can't say it enough -- this early in the game, strength is in number of supporters (not necessarily dollars), and Huckabee leads in actual donors (16,000+ strong).
4. Leave it to the amateurs to get their eyeballs stuck on the top line; stay smart, savy and strong.

Hey Mike
Isn't it time to endorse JD Hayworth? Alot of Tea Partiers are mad at Palin for campaigning for McLame in March.
Time for the governor to make a statement by supporting JD once he is officially announced to be running.
McLame played you like a fiddle in the republican primaries. I believe it's time for you to make a statement!
