Andre Bauer is a champion we can all believe in. He has fought for the people of South Carolina since the day he was elected to the House of Representatives in 1996. As Lt. Governor, he has ruled against every single proposed tax increase, saving the people of South Carolina $2 billion.
Andre Bauer has stayed true to his conservative values while looking out for the best interests of the people of South Carolina. As Governor he will maintain an open door policy to foster the more accessible hands-on government valued by South Carolinians. Andre has worked tirelessly to make South Carolina a greater competitor in the global market. He is a strong advocate for the “I Believe” license plates in South Carolina. Andre believes that all South Carolina citizens should have the choice to display a license plate on their vehicle that reflects their religious beliefs.
My friend Andre is also a strong supporter of a cause that is dear to me. He believes that preventive health care must be an important part of our health care system. He knows that simple changes in daily habits can radically alter a person’s life.

We have two very fine candidates running for Governor in Andre Bauer and Henry McMasters. I support Andre but would not be too diappointed with McMasters. Both are outstanding leaders.

As a South Carolinian and a state coordinator for HuckPAC, I am pleased to support Lt. Governor Andre Bauer for Governor of South Carolina. Like so many of our state's residents, I have been concerned about the future of SC and what direction our leadership would take us. I have also listened to the various concerns regarding certain "immaturities" certain candidates may have possessed. I know Andre, and I know him to genuinely care about this state and the future of all of its citizens. We are not a perfect people. We all fall short of the mark. Our true character is not defined in how many times we have fallen or in how many ways someone can point out our missteps as humans. It is defined in what we do to overcome these things. It is defined in how we proceed in spite of these things.
Andre Bauer has had a few traffic issues. I have had a few speeding tickets myself in my life. I like to think that those things in no way define my character, my desire to see this state succeed, or to truly make this a better place. But I have seen the desire in this man's eyes, I have seen up close what has earned him the reputation of being a constituent-centered elected official, and I am proud to call Andre my friend, my Lt. Governor, and hopefully my governor.
I urge everyone who hasn't done so, take the opportunity to get to know Andre, get to know who he really is, what he really stands for, and then make your choice. I feel confident that Andre Bauer is a good choice.

Since I know now that not all comments get posted to your blog, I will say that, as a solid conservative evangelical (unashamedly so) Christian, my full support will be behind Chip Campsen when he announces his candidacy. Chip and his family are faithful, active members of my home church, East Cooper Baptist, and have been for many years. Lt. Gov. Bauer, on the other hand, generally makes an appearance at our church around election time. Chip Campsen's personal life is in order, something the state of SC needs right now. His record is flawless and there are no scandalous news stories for the press to jump on. Lt. Gov. Bauer doesn't have the same clean record - his irresponsible behavior has landed him in the news many times before, and I suspect many more stories will surface by the Dems if he is nominated for Gov. I'm tired of my great home state being the laughing stock of the country. The state of SC really needs to avoid more scandal right now - and our GOP especially does. I would urge you, Governor Huckabee, to support Chip if he runs. He can beat the Dems and will make SC stand proud again.

I greatly appreciate all the work that HuckPAC is doing, and I am a supporter. And as a supporter, I have to respectfully disagree with your support of Andre Bauer at this point in the race. While I think he is certainly better qualified than most of the candidates and deserves our full support should he win the Republican nomination, I believe others have proven themselves to be much more trustworthy with the position of Governor of SC - namely Chip Campsen and Henry McMaster. These two men have a much better track record than Lt. Gov. Bauer does with the people of SC, and I believe they have a much better chance of beating the Democrats in this race. I respectfully urge you to consider endorsing one of these men as well.

I am excited that Gov. Huckabee has endorsed Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer for Governor of SC. Andre has a high work ethic, accomplished great things in his office at Lt. Gov., and will continue as he leads SC as our next Governor.
