I give thanks that I am an American, free to live and worship as I choose, free to speak my mind on important issues and free to travel where I choose when I choose. We truly are a land of plenty. Our nation and our people have been blessed with a standard of living unprecedented in the history of mankind.
Although we recognize that these are challenging times, and that millions of Americans are suffering from unemployment, let us gather together on this special day, enjoy our families and friends and say a special prayer for our country and its people. May we remain the land of freedom.

Amen. i agree with mike. we have much to thank the Lord for. I am currently unemployed but I thank the Lord for the 15 years i had at my job and i thank the Lord for His provision during this time of enemployment. I thank the Lord for freedom and we must fight to preserve it as satan and his liberal godless army is constantly on the attack against it

I had a blessed Thanksgiving.. We traveled to the Cleburne area to be with family. I wanted to travel to Arlington, Tx. on Fri. to have the priviledge to shake hands with Mike Huckabee.
It was an hour away, through very heavy traffic.. My son had lived there for years, but had moved. I knew he could take me there the easiest.. He had to work Friday, so I told him I did not expect him to take me.....
He happened to get off early, and insisted on taking me ,we drove about an hour.. He let me out at the front door and him and my husband found a parking place... I was so happy, that I had made it..
I went to the door at Costco and was told only members were allowed to go in for the book signing.. I told them how far I had travelled, they just said, "Sorry"....I knew it was a store for members only to shop, but I was just there to buy a book and meet Mike Huckabee.. It never dawned on me that I would not be able to go in the store..
When my husband and son came up to the door, they were told the same thing. My son living a hour away , renewed his membership, which was $ 50.00..Because , he wanted his Mom to meet Huckabee. He is single and I knew he was not going to travel that far to save a few bucks so , we paid him back..
By that time we had to go to the back of a very long line.. There was a woman that came in after us in a wheel chair... They did allow her in, but would not let her buy a book.. My son did not stand in line with us. My husband wanted to go get her a book, but he was not a member ,either..A woman behind her left her place in line and went back into the store for another book. The woman could not use her debit card to pay her and did not have enough cash.. So, a man behind her donated the rest of the money.. There just seems to be something special about Huckabee fans... I think Costco must be liberals.... ha ha
Gov. Huckabee was running late. But, when he got there the line moved fast.. I have arthritis and it hurts me to stand..
But, I was surrounded by Huckabee fans, and it seemed enjoyable.. And, I knew I was about to shake hands with the only VIP that I would be willing to stand for hours to meet... And, pay $50.00 just to get in...
I would have loved to be able to ask questions but I knew he did not have time for that. I think the most important question I would have liked to ask was, " Can this country survive 3 more years of this administration"....I know Gov. Huckabee is a optimist, and I am getting to be a pessimist... I do know there is a spiritual battle going on, and I know the battle has already been won.. But, I know there is going to be some bad going on, before ..
Anyways, that was too deep of a question to ask, when he just had one hour to be there, and was already late.. When I got there Gov. Huckabee thanked me for coming, shook my hand , and signed my book.. The only words out my mouth was, " Hello, Gov. Huckabee".
My husband was amazed that Gov. Huckabee looked so fresh, after he had travelled so far....
Hope , everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.. And , will have a simple, but wonderful Christmas...I have not had a chance to read the book, but am looking forward to doing so.....

Dear Mike,
Please bring the Jamiel Shaw family (Los Angeles, CA.) on your show for an interview. They need some support. Their son was killed and his mother was fighting for our freedom in Iraq.
This story needs to be heard by American Citizens.

I am grateful for so many things in these days; for a relationship with the Lord through Jesus most of all; the family He gave me that will live on after I am gone; a country that was a blessing to grow up in; and which I am so wanting to make decisions that will take us into the future with hope and a turning back to values we seem to have left behind. I want to tell everyone about Adam Andrzejewski (And-GEE-eff-ski) candidate for governor for Illinois and ask you to look him up on Adam for Illinois. He is American first; and has chosen to run on the republican ticket because it probably reflects more what he believes in; I am having a hard time finding anyone on any ticket who does this; but believe we must work to put men in office who will lead us righteously. Check it out....

I agree Mike. I'm very thankful for our country, our freedoms, and those here state side who contend for our God given liberties, as well as those abroad who fight for them.
May we never forget who gave us this great land, and pray that the Lord will continue to bless the United States of America.
Thank you Mike; you have been an example for many of us of true patriotism.
