I don't think there are any republican incumbants that deserve to be reelected. They are one big reason we are where we are. Gettem all out & lets start over with a clean slate.

    Mike,
Great speach! Keep getting the message out on what America stands for - many people still need to be reminded. Please run in '12 so we can get this Country on the right track.

Mike, I've heard you give some good speeches before, but that was simply outstanding! We need to nail down the moral moorings of conservatism. This kind of speech helps exactly with that.

  • Shields, Ryan

Wow, Governor! Beautifully done! I caught myself saying "Amen, brother!" on several occasions during your speech. You somehow seem to relay the feelings and thoughts that so many of us feel. Thanks again for all that you do to help advance Christian and conservative principles!

Okay Mike... I saved my Huckabee yard signs for a very good reason! I hope and pray that I can proudly put them out in my yard again. But I hope and pray even more that, by then, we still have a country the we can all still recognize as the United States of America!

    Huckabee in 2012!!!

    LunchBucket Joe -

Just one more comment. You might add this one to your list. It was a pre-election comment but no doubt a sign for more craziness to come. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad! Many should have taken a clue from this one statement alone.

How sad ... but true it is.
Where are all of these censorious Bush attackers and bashers now ???
"Hollywood" ... where are you? ... silently missing in action, huh?

Someone wake me up when this nightmare is over !

Gutsy speech Gov. Huckabee, and needed.

It's good to see you using your own sling and stones, instead of the sword and armor of others. Whether you run or not (I hope you do!), you already have made a tremendous difference for the truth.

You really left the rest of the pack in the dust!

We are all really proud of you and you also gave an excellent speech. I saw it live. I did not have time to listen to any of the others except for Mike Pence, Michele Bachmann and Carrie Prejean. Either one of these first two would make a good vp for you ... ha! ... its always best to plan ahead ... right??

Gotta go .... getting ready for the

GREAT NEWS! GOVERNOR HUCKABEE WINS 2009 VALUE VOTERS STRAW POLL!!!!
    (Blows-out the competition!)

    The Washington Independent

Mike Huckabee Wins Values Voter Straw Poll
By David Weigel 9/19/09 3:26 PM

In a telling, but non-scientific, survey of the Republican Party’s social conservative base, former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-Ark.) won the 2009 Values Voter straw poll with a 28 percent plurality of the vote. Five-hundred and ninety-seven people voted.

In October 2007, former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-Mass.) won the first straw poll held by this young event, a controversial result skewed by online voting by people who didn’t attend the conference. (There was no such online voting this year.) Mike Huckabee’s strong showing among voters who attended the conference foreshadowed his remarkable victory in the Iowa caucuses three months later.

Huckabee led eight other potential Republican candidates: Romney placed second with 12.4 percent, while Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-Minn.) polled 12.23 percent, Sarah Palin polled 12.06 percent, and Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) polled 11.89 percent. People included in the poll who didn’t the top five: Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.), Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-La.), Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum.

Only Pence, Huckabee, Pawlenty and Romney spoke to the conference before the vote, while Rick Santorum was scheduled to give a short invocation for Phyllis Schlafly at tonight’s banquet.

And as far as him creating more jobs, well, I'd like to see that in this small run down town, I live in! I was laid off in 10/08 and still haven't found one and have been looking every day!
God has blessed you with so much wisdom about every issue in our country, in our lives, and our families. I can see that God has definitely has His hand on your life! I will continue to pray for you and for your family!

MSNBC covered the Values Voters Summit this evening. They led off with attention to Mike Huckabee, whom they described as the people's choice, but not the choice of the Republican establishment, who consider him an economic liberal. The film clip focused on the comment about "czars, clunker cars, and movie stars", but not enough transparency and accountability. I felt it was reasonably objective coverage.

They also had coverage of Mike Pence, noted that Sarah Palin was a no-show, and that Mitt Romney speaks tomorrow. They said that the results of a Presidential straw poll will be reported at the conclusion of the Summit.

Awesome speech! So awesome, I watched it twice! Probably will watch it again with my husband later tonight!!! :o)

Did anyone notice that Gov. Huckabee wore a tie with purple squares? The tie was purple!!! :o)

I'm proud to be a part of Huck PAC! Governor Huckabee's speech reminded me once again the reasons why I am volunteering for his grassroots org.!!!

I can't wait til 2012! I don't see how Gov. Huckabee won't choose to run!!!

I noticed on Foxnews, today (Brett Baier show) that they named most everyone speaking EXCEPT Huckabee! Wonder why that is? hmmm... People are watching, listening, noticing! Fox news can't get away with shunning Huckabee this time!!! Huckabee has a "LOUD" voice this time (via his show, speeches, radio program, etc.) And we do, too! Huckabee's army is well alive and thriving! Go Team Huck! Go Huck's Army!!! :o)

  • Bjerken, Anna

    09/18/2009 07:42 PM

Mike, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Thank you for having the courage to stand up for the truth.

My husband just said "It's common sense, the way our parents taught us to think. Send this to your dad!".

I said "Unfortunately he will refuse to listen to it."
When I was a young single parent, my parents gave me books and advised that I listen to Focus on the Family and heed Dr. Dobson and other Christians advice.

Today they refuse to even utter his name or that of any other Christian Conservative group because we are willing to stand up to our government and say 'NO THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE'.
As a child, my parents would have been proud of this type 'courage' and 'patriotism'. Today I am ostracized by family because my values and beliefs are 'wrong'.

It breaks my heart to see that they and so many others are being deceived by the president and our government in the name of 'inclusiveness' and 'equality'. I have heard democrats say that conservatives are racist because we don't agree with the president. Nancy Pelosi said she is 'fearful of violence' from those who simply do not agree.

    Isn't that the first ammendment?!

This attitude and the negativity coming from the White House and the Democrats is terrifying to me. This no longer feels like America, the land of the free and the home of the brave.

  • Johnson, Tim
