Most PAC’s exist merely as a way to build their own lists, funnel money to candidates, and cover expenses for the principal of the organization. We have never operated like everyone else and therefore didn’t create our PAC to either. The strength of every campaign my dad has ever run has been in the people at the grassroots level and we want to continue that in Huck PAC and WE ARE doing that. We aren’t ignorant in thinking that grassroots is the only thing that matters and that you can be successful without some financial backing as well, but we refuse to let our PAC be something it was not created to be. We will continue to raise money and be frugal with it. We have not, are not, and do not intend to operate in the red. Do we have payments to make, yes, but much like a mortgage they are scheduled payments that we have made every time when due. Our donors are generous with what they have and we hope the number of donors continues to increase, and our faithful continue to contribute to the cause as well.
We are on target for the goals we set this year in both fundraising and organization. None of us who are actually doing the work each day are unaware of ways we can and hope to improve, but we are often simply limited by the level of support that we receive not only financially, but prayerfully and in other ways. We will all continue to work as a team and always appreciate new ideas and suggestions on ways to make our team better and complete the job we set out to do.
We will continue to fight for the candidates that believe in strong families, smaller government, individual freedoms and the conservative cause. I hope you will join with us in battle.

If you go to www.whitehouse.gov and click on healthcare you will find a post that includes an invitation to turn in (via e-mail) fellow Americans who are posting dissent to the healthcare plan.
I wonder, will the brown shirts be a-knockin' at our doors?

Please disregard if a duplicate. The site logged me off as I was posting.
Oh well, here goes again..
These are just my thoughts - and they're coming faster than I can type. Pls. excuse my grammar, etc..Read the Declaration of Independence.
In light of Congress daily voting for legislation not specifically authorized by the Constitution,
executive orders, originally intended for administrative acts, such as purchasing supplies, etc. are now used as a mini-legislature at the beckon call of the President.
It now appears that all of our communications with our elected representatives have been blatantly ignored as evidenced by the banker bailouts. Where is our redress of grievance? Elections are controlled through (not by) the media and the two winged single Dema-Publican party.
We're at 1984 and getting vocal in whichever way we can in the hope that the answer will not have to be 1776.
Hitler kept it orderly, not many lived to complain. Any opposition was promptly put down. He even used religion to bolster his position. I once heard his favorite verse was Romans 13.
Well, our Constitution is the authority, the rule of law, the chain that binds a would-be tyrannical government.
Unfortunately they may be choosing to de-legitimize their authority by their constant violation of the very document that each has taken a sacred oath to uphold.
I have yet to use such "in your face" tactics at a public venue, but is the alternative to be run over roughshod?
Surely freedom is fading in the distance... I wonder if liberty is easier kept than having to be later retaken?
Anyone else care to share on this? -

Sarah,
The following is suggestions / comments I attempted to send 23 July and again yesterday. There was a little more in yesterdays. Including a big Thank you!
I have been participating on the on the Huckabee web site for a long time. I have spent a lot of time reading comments and learning from fellow Huckabee supporters.
The Humpty Dumpty post on Health Care and the Cap and Trade post stirred up more action / comments than what we have seen in a while. It was great, but it is slowing down already.
I am encouraged when a specific post has 50 or more comments a day to read. That is what happened with the open discussion thread that started 4/11/2009.
Many people have suggested on different posts, to have an open discussion thread link on the home page or something similar, such as having on the home page links to posts for the issues that are currently being debated in Congress. There could be an open discussion which renews every week or every two weeks.
There are a lot of supporters who favor a static link on the home page and who like reading and writing comments that help us get to the bottom of the issues. Doctor David, Judge Deborah, Bonnie Schwab just to name a few.
One other suggestion I have is to encourage some comments from Gov. Mike Huckabee within the posts and similar people with credibility. We need to know at least some of our comments are being read by Gov. Huckabee and others who care about and support Huckpac.
Just some thoughts, because we need more interaction on Huckpac not less.R24189 supporter of the Fair Tax and less government.

I remain very supportive of Governor Huckabee and the way you at HuckPAC have promoted other conservative, pro-family candidates. It is very unusual for a former Presidential candidate to be concerned about other's success, not just his own. Gov. Huckabee understands that we need to organize and build a base of solid, faithful conservatives to bring needed change. By helping elect more conservative representatives and senators in our legislatures we can make a great difference in our country. This happens one race at a time, through faithful efforts of like-minded people across the country. Thank you for all you have done to get people together to work for our worthy causes.
Please continue to let us know how to help. You mentioned prayer, which is something I love to do and believe is more effective than any other action we can take. I also post at Huck's Army as justgrace, so if you ever have a specific prayer request you may Personal Message me there or send an email. I would be honored to pray for the Huckabee's or for the people at Team Huck. For now, God bless you and give you wisdom for all the decisions ahead.
Grace, praying in Kansas

Steve Goff 08/05/2009 9:25 pm. Extremism in politics is not defined by what one believes, but by the methods used to impose that belief on others. In a democratic society, discussion and persuasion are the methods that civilized people use to influence others. Extremists go beyond that to, for example, disrupt town meetings by shouting and disrupting the democratic process. Since the majority of Americans have been raised to be civil, they will always oppose such methods, and those who use them will be put down. The rules applies equally to those on the left and the right. Persuasion is fine; rabble rousing that results in civil disorder is not.

CASH FOR CLUNKERS!
By Peter Scofield (no copyright2009) I know that all you will just love this idea.
I am not worried that someone will take my idea and claim it as thier own. That is just the type of person I am. I am for the welfare of America and whatever works........works!
I have been thinking about the "Cash For Clunkers' program.
This program is to try to get the "Clunkers" off the highways. The Gov. will give you a credit of up to $4,500 as a trade in for your "Clunker".
This is my idea.
I truly believe that it is time that we "trade in" our " Clunker Congresspersons", and "Clunker Senators" for a more up to date model. For instance, I live in the 8th district of Minnesota and Mr.(Clunker)Oberstar has held the Congressman seat since 1974! I'll say that again. Since 1974! Now that is what I call a "CLUNKER"!
I think it is time to remove the "Clunkers" from Washington and more UP-TO-DATE modles, period.
God Bless you all!

As most people have already heard, the DNC has referred to those who are angry over healthcare as “rabid right wing extremist.” Beyond the revolting nature of these insults, there is a more important point to consider, and that is the DNC’s choice of words in-particularly “right wing extremist.” If you will recall, this very same language was used in a document released by the Department of Homeland Security as potential threats to the United States government. So the question is: does the DNC believe that these citizens are in the same group as the "extremists" in the memo released by Janet Napolitano? Do they believe that they need to be monitored by the federal government, or is this a poor choice of wording? Does Pres. Obama approve of this kind of labeling? I think the DNC needs to give the American people a little clarification on their choice of wording, especially with the term “right wing extremist” being listed as potential terrorists by DHS. Could this possibly be why the White House want's citizens to report on any "fishy" talk about healthcare to the government?
If the DNC believes that these people, mostly senior citizens, are Republican Operatives, than they need to prove it. We can prove that most of the protestors for AIG were ACORN operatives, lets see them back up their claims with evidence.

This is good that SH took the time to respond to some criticisms leveled against Huck PAC (unfairly, IMHO) on another website. Certainly there are areas that could possibly be improved upon, as is usually the case with any organization, but people need to keep in mind what this PAC is set up to do and what it's not set up to do.

It seems to me that HuckPAC is attempting to walk the same fine line that Mike Huckabee did in his Presidential campaign. HuckPAC represents itself as a Republican organization, but it is not a conventional Republican organization in the same sense that Huckabee is not a conventional Republican politician. GOP-favored candidates during the past election campaign supported the laissez-faire economic policies of the Bush administration. The GOP did not support Mike, however, because he championed fiscal restraint and concern for all Americans, not just the wealthy. For this visionary approach, he was branded a "liberal" by members of his own Party, and treated as the man who never was.
Now, apparently, HuckPAC does not generate donations at the same rate as the more conventional PACs of Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin, and, no doubt, for the same reasons. Lost in the shuffle is the fact that Mike (unlike Romney and Palin) appeals not only to some percentage of Republicans, but also to a large number of independent voters. In fact, if he had been able to win the Republican nomination, Huckabee would have had a better chance at winning the general election than any other Republican, precisely because he was not viewed as a conventional Republican. The idea of Vertical Politics was a powerful one that separated him, not only from Romney and Palin, but from the Party itself.
By focusing on the election of only Republican candidates, it seems to me that HuckPAC loses the potential financial support of many independents. Remember, only 22% of Americans describe themselves as Republicans, while 44% refer to themselves as independents.
The persistent corruption in both political Parties may well lead to a day when independents constitute more than half of the American population. When that day comes, a third party candidate might be able to win the Presidency without the organized support of the now dominant Parties. That being the case, if it were able to make a clear distinction between "Conservative" and "Republican", the fine line that HuckPAC walks each day could turn into a broad avenue that leads to national success.
The Huckabees' loyalty to the Republican party because of the deep values they hold is very admirable. I just hope that the tide of history is not so much against the damaged Republican brand that they will miss out on the great potential that HuckPAC has as a force for good in our society. As always, the future belongs to the bold.

Thanks for sharing, Sarah! We at Team Huck are behind you 1000%! I love that your parents have a Covenant Marriage!
Your family has been an example to us and we appreciate your efforts to lead us back to solid conservatism and godly principles.
I don't really have time to listen to the naysayers. Those running the race and the good fight of faith leave it all on the track and we don't look back!
God is surely with us as he was with our Founding Fathers when they put God first.
I really enjoyed hearing David Barton talk about our evangelical Founding Fathers on Gov. Huckabee's how this weekend.
Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for your encouraging clarification. I recently had the opportunity to comment on an article in which the writer was giving some false information.
I posted a comment among many of the naysayers and critical comments that Huck Pac was still "alive and well." Thank you for confirming this, and God bless you for taking time from a abusy schedule to reassure Gov. Huckabee's many supporters on Huck Pac!

I am totaly lost on your claim that there are alot of questions and confusion of the purpose of Huck*Pac over the past few weeks.
May I ask you "What are you talking about?"
I have never had a question of what Huck*Pac was about. Huck*Pac has made there mission clear from the begining.
Again, please educate me on what what I am missing.

Sarah...
Thanks so much for commenting on the purpose and goals of HuckPac,which is assisting good conservative Republican candidates to get elected to office to serve "we the people."
Governor Huckabee cannot be a Congressman or Senator representing every district in every state, so like-minded individuals are stepping up to the plate to serve and they need our help:-) So let's get busy and help...roll up your sleeves...this is a team effort.
I am signing up to phone bank for Virginias' HuckPac governor later this week with our Iowa State HuckPac coordinator, Lori. It is easy. I phone banked for Governor Huckabee in the Presidential primary from Iowa through Texas. I remember calling a gentleman who worked for the IRS and said he would loose his job if he voted for Gov. Huckabee, because of the fair tax. After explaining to him what the "fair tax" actually was, he promised me that he would cast his vote for Governor Huckabee in that state primary. We will win one vote at a time.
Thanks again Sarah. And thank you to all the members of Team Huck for stepping up to the plate to win and hit the ball out of the ball park:-)

You should see a tremendous outpouring of support here in response to your post, Sarah.
We need HuckPAC. Thank you for giving us a venue to do something positive--candidates we can support who might just help make things better; a way to support Governor Huckabee as he works to bring some conservative common sense to the Republican party and to the nation. There is so much cause right now for fretting and hand-wringing--and it sounds as if maybe there has been some rumor-mongering and gossip going on. Please don't let that discourage you--keep doing what you are doing.Governor Huckabee's integrity and wisdom have been demonstrated often enough that I simply trust him and any organization he heads to be worthy of my full support. I'm praying that God will keep him and all his staff true in the midst of a filthy political climate. I simply trust God to do that, too.
I sometimes hear people speculating about what Governor Huckabee is going to/should do--even up to who his running mate should be in 2012. Hey, folks. Governor Huckabee is a smart guy--he will make the right decisions when it is time to make them. Let's just support him and the HuckPAC candidates. IF he decides to run in 2012, of COURSE we'll all support him. Right now, let's just follow his lead. Okay?
Please count this rather simple minded old lady in as one of the faithful--doing what we can and with you all the way.R23745

Thank you for reiterating the clear message of our mission. It is because of this mission that I am proud to support Huck PAC and belong to Team Huck.
“Huck PAC is committed to helping Republicans regain control of the House and Senate, regain a majority of governorships and supporting conservative principles around the country. Huck PAC will support Republican candidates who are passionate advocates for tax reform, a strong national defense, real border security, life, the family, less government, and individual liberty.”
Read the complete Mission Statement HERE.
When I am promoting Team Huck I am often asked about our goals. My simple response is an explanation of our Mission Statement. Huck PAC was created to identify and support candidates that share our conservative principles. Team Huck was created for grassroots volunteers who have always believed, or just recently realized, that it is our duty to actively participate in the promotion of each of these endorsed candidates. We do this for the common good of our country.
It is an honor to be a part of this purposeful PAC and Team Huck!
Thank you for the opportunity to serve!

They will blame guns.
Big Pharma will once again go unscathed.
I'll predict SSRI meds involved,
and you won't hear that on the MSM,
but that's not the important thing now.Unfortunately Rahm Emanuel will make sure this one will not go to waste..

Nice to hear from you Sarah and your comments that reinforce the purpose and goals of HuckPac. Since Dec 2007 when I made my first comment on Huckabee.com, I have never questioned the wise decisions made here and the integrity of HuckPac. That has always been a good feeling.
I have never failed to see a flood of Huckabee supporters come in to make a comment when Governor Huckabee comes on to talk about a specific topic of discussion and that is a good thing.
I know that many of us do what we can financially and I would like to encourage others who have perhaps never participated in this area of giving, to just step out a little.
No gift is too small and it can really add up if we all give something.
We all have different capabilities, gifts and talents. I would also like to encourage those who can to get on board to make telephone calls on Saturday August 22nd for the Virginia candidates running for office. This is really quite easy with a script in front of you in case you forget what to say. There are a number of calls where you leave only a message. Gov. Huckabee only asked us to make the minimal amount of 50 calls. That will only take you 1 hour.
SO ..... lets roll !!!!You can give to Donor No. R23777

Anyone can hire a bunch of professionals and run a slick campaign. Mitt Romney showed us how unsuccessful that can be. Huck Pac has put a lot of trust in us to help build a strong grassroots organization and I am going to keep doing everything I can to help increase the number of volunteers and raise funds. We want to be ready when the action starts on the mid-terms elections. I have a feeling we are going to really enjoy them!
Thanks for the update, Sarah.

This is indeed the epitome of a noble calling. As Sarah has said, there are so many PAC's out there that operate out of pure self-interest, and that is fine if you are a liberal. But when it comes to Gov. Huckabee, there is nothing about self-interest anywhere in sight. I am sincerely proud to be a contributor to the HuckPAC cause and mission, and indeed to conservative principles wherever they may be applied to making our country a better place.

Sarah,
It is indeed a pleasure to work along side you and an organization that is refreshingly honest and forthright with their words and money. Anyone can make negative out of anything. If we, as state coordinators, are to truly make a difference in our state and this country, we should not have accepted the position without loyalty to this organization and the values it stands on. My prayers go up daily for Gov. Huckabee, and the PAC. I love what I do and will continue with much pride.
