On August 22nd Huck PAC supporters will gather to meet one another and make phone calls on behalf of Huck PAC endorsed candidate Bob McDonnell. Bob is running for Governor of Virginia. He has what it takes to be a great leader for Virginia.
Our goal for the day is to make 10,000 calls to Virginia voters. We are asking participants at each House Party to make a few calls using their cell phones. You do not have to make calls to attend a Party and participation is FREE. We will provide the lists of voters names and phone scripts for everyone willing to participate.
First though, we need House Party hosts. If you are interested in hosting a House Party or want more information please contact Katie Beth Harris at Huck PAC or call Huck PAC at 501-324-2008. Her email is katiebeth.harris(at)mikehuckabee.com.
As we identify House Party Hosts we will add their party information to the map below.

While the details haven't yet been posted from Team Huck National Headquarters, I wanted to let everyone who came over from our Idaho e-mail, that there is going to be call party in the city of Boise, Idaho.
We will be making calls into the State of Virginia on behalf of Republican Gubenatorial Candidate Bob McDonnell. A McDonnell victory sets conservatives on a path to victory in 2010, and Idaho Conservatives have a great opportunity.
Everyone is invited to come and bring a cell phone. I encourage people to make at least 25 calls into Virginia. The party will be at 4520 W. Clark Street in Boise between 12-2 P.M on Saturday, August 22nd.

My apartment has room for 10 people. I would like to make this the beginning of monthly gatherings on Thursday Evenings or Saturday Afternoon / Evenings in support of HUCK PAC supported consevative candidates. Eventually, we would need a larger area to meet. Hopefully, Mike Huckabee, himself will run again in 2012. By then our groups across the country will be ready to help him to the White House to be the next President of the United States. --- Martin

It seems that there aren't any parties scheduled in Illinois. This is a Liberal state, but I know that there are plenty of Conservatives, Republicans, and Independents that would be willing to attend. If anyone out there is interested in a party in Central Illinois I would be interested and could possibly bring a few friends.

To: All-in-for-Mike
I'm amused that you said:
"He is the CURRENT lieutenant governor, a situation unique to VA politics -- our gov's and lt gov's run as individuals, not as a ticket."
Governor Mike Huckabee was Lt.Gov. under Democrat Jim Guy Tucker until Tucker's conviction for fraud.

Just wanted to tell everyone that Bob garduated from the school I am currently in, Regent University in Virginia Beach. This is a good Christian-oriented school, and has produced great leaders in our country. they host a variety of symposiums, and contribute to the conservative cause. I will be supporting Bob McDonnell as much as I can. Let's give him our support!

Debbie,
I suggest you consider starting a party where you are. That is all it takes to get one where you live...if your place isn't big enough (it really doesn't have to be large), then do what one of our team county leaders did and reserve a room at a pizza place or something. It just takes ONE person to get something started. Then invite your likeminded friends and watch what happens.

I could only wish that there was one here so I could join in to preserve our freedoms.
We were told that we would be taken down from within and that time has come. We need to join tgether to protect the freedoms that we given to us by our fore fathers.

As most people have already heard, the DNC has referred to those who are angry over healthcare as “rabid right wing extremist.” Beyond the revolting nature of these insults, there is a more important point to consider, and that is the DNC’s choice of words in-particularly “right wing extremist.” If you will recall, this very same language was used in a document released by the Department of Homeland Security as potential threats to the United States government. So the question is: does the DNC believe that these citizens are in the same group as the "extremists" in the memo released by Janet Napolitano? Do they believe that they need to be monitored by the federal government, or is this a poor choice of wording? Does Pres. Obama approve of this kind of labeling? I think the DNC needs to give the American people a little clarification on their choice of wording, especially with the term “right wing extremist” being listed as potential terrorists by DHS. Could this possibly be why the White House want's citizens to report on any "fishy" talk about healthcare to the government?
If the DNC believes that these people, mostly senior citizens, are Republican Operatives, than they need to prove it. We can prove that most of the protestors for AIG were ACORN operatives, lets see them back up their claims with evidence.

b, richard writes (7/26/09 11:27 PM):
"Mike is just mainstream enough to pull 2012 off. Let's not let him down financially. Fundraising is the only area of weakness I can see ahead as of now..."
I completely agree with his statement. From what I understand, Huck*Pac could really use a financial boost! We really need to increase our fundraising efforts not only for 2012, but also for our support of Huck*Pac candidates and the financial demands of this website & MikeHuckabee.com.***Sarah Pac has recently raised 1 million dollars. We can do better!
BTW: It is really great to see so many familiar names on this blog!

Great gatherings can also take place in public parks, etc...so student groups could even find a place on campus perhaps...don't let distance of lack of facilities stop you...If you have a heart to help the cause, jump in and host with what you have...you will be surprised what can get started.

Mr. Seth Riggio and anyone else not finding a party near them –
Here’s an option if you don’t find a house party near you or can’t host one yourself.
Go to the McDonnell Action website and RSVP for the [b]Nationwide Team Huck House Party![/[b] This party was created for volunteers who may not find a house party nearby and still want to show support for Bob by committing to at least 25 calls on Aug 22nd. Tell your friends they are welcome to sign up as well. Once you’ve RSVP’d, leave a comment on the event page and let others know how many calls you’ll be making on Aug 22nd.
Those who are attending house parties are welcome to RSVP as well to show your commitment and encourage others to join in. Thanks!

Will there be any house parties in or around Front Royal or Winchester Virginia this time around.
I know of quite a few college students that would love to attend, but not many of them can go all the way to Arlington VA like I did last time.

Over on HucksArmy.com, someone asked, "Why is it important to help with the Virgina elections? Who are the candidates?" Because I live in VA I thought I'd share some info to help motivate all us loyal Huckabee foot soldiers!
First, let me state in one sentence why all three candidates are important.
Many presidential candidates come from the governors of large states. And, there is something of a "career ladder" in VA politics, and you have to go through the proper channels. First atty gen, then lt. gov., then governor.
First I'll cover Ken Cuccinelli, about whom I know a little bit more. (My son works as an intern on his campaign.) Ken Cuccinelli is currently a state senator and has a great record on pro-life issues and cutting taxes. He is a patent attorney, lives about 20 miles outside of Washington, DC, and is running for Attorney General of VA.
As a state senator, Cuccinelli has a GREAT record. He has written, sponsored, and gotten passed a lot of great laws that strengthen families, laws that strengthen the penalties for sex predators, that make life harder for illegal aliens, etc.
I've met Ken a couple times and he seems really nice. Like Mike Huckabee, Ken will actually look you in the eyes, listen to what you are saying, and let you finish a sentence. This is a refreshing change from so many politicians (or leaders in ANY field, for that matter.) Cuccinelli is Catholic and has 5 children.
My son has worked on 11 campaigns and says Ken is the only candidate he actually likes. :) I was a delegate to the statewide GOP convention in Richmond a few months ago, where they were choosing the GOP nominees. Ken was challenged by two other Republicans (which unfortunately has drained his campaign funds.) During the actual balloting, I left the auditorium and wandered the outer hallways looking for a snack. I ran into Ken Cuccinelli, and he was as calm and friendly as if we were chatting at a picnic...you would never have known that his political future were hanging in the balance at that very moment. He seems very humble... (yet still secure in himself)... not one of those back-slapping, gregarious type-A people that you so often run into in politics.
When he was announced as the winner, his campaign team raced through the Coliseum with yellow "Don't Tread On Me" flags, to show that he is a conservative who doesn't want the federal government to overstep its bounds on the individual citizen.
Here is a paragraph from an endorsement posted on Townhall.com by Dwayne Horner:
One of the reasons Cuccinelli has earned conservative support is that he is the only candidate for Attorney General with a proven record. His record includes:- Leading the fight to defeat the Sales Tax Referendum in Northern Virginia
- Helping lead the fight in Northern Virginia to win the marriage amendment.
- Successfully passed legislation that requires all contractors doing business with the Commonwealth of Virginia to check the legal status of all employees and hire only legal residents. This law also provides - for the first time - that those contractors who cheat by hiring illegal aliens can now be terminated as state contractors (SB 517, 2008).
The Attorney General race is important for several reasons – but among them is the fact that AG’s often go on to serve as Governor. This is especially true in the Commonwealth of Virginia, where Governors cannot succeed themselves.
Who is Bill Bolling? He is the CURRENT lieutenant governor, a situation unique to VA politics -- our gov's and lt gov's run as individuals, not as a ticket. (Our governor, Tim Kaine, is a die-hard liberal and the current chair of the Democratic National Committee! Kaine was even considered for Obama's VP.).
Bill Bolling is running for re-election as Lt. Gov. He could have asked for the top billing as the candidate for governor, but instead he chose to run for re-election and let Bob McDonell (our current Atty General) have the top slot. I'm sure there's a good reason for this unusual move, but I don't know what it is. I don't know much about him except that he's pro-life.
Bob McDonnell, candidate for governor, was in the VA House of Delegates for 14 years before becoming the A.G. He is a veteran (U.S. Army) and ardently pro-life. His speech at the GOP convention was quite good. He ran a great convention.
Here is a link to McDonnell's "Issues" page on his website:
http://www.bobmcdonnell.com/index.php/issuesHope this info helps.
THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO HELP MIKE HUCKABEE RIGHT NOW!! If HuckPAC can make an impact and get our voices heard, it shows the country that Mike Huckabee is a leader with a following, who can make things happen.
So go to a HuckPAC House Party, have a good time, make some new friends with similar interests, and make some phone calls. It's a LOT easier than you might think! Usually you will just get someone's voice mail, and you leave a friendly message. Try it!!
