I also was enraged when Crist accepted the Stimulus money. I will support and vote for Marco Rubio this time.

I was a Crist supporter until he accepted the stimulus money and showed his true colors. It came with too many strings attached that lead back to Washington. I will support Rubio. It is time Americans take a stand to take our country back. Please don't disappoint, Mr. Rubio.

I am absolutely angered by the actions that our government has taken lately! It is amazing that financially people in the democratic party whom are suppose to have such a financial knowledge, know nothing of it! I am totally against the health care bill that is about to be proposed! This is communismn! All of this ridiculous activity has even affected a little peon like myself and my family! Our country is going to hell! There are no morals in this democratic government. Only selfish values to protect only the lazy! I have never seen anything like this in my 44 year life and I am sickened by what is to become of our nation if these un knowledgeable people continue to operate our country in this manner!

I am glad to see there will be a candidate with strong Conservative values running in the Senate race against Gov. Charlie Crist. Gov. Crist thought he would be able to walk from the Governors office into the Senate seat without any opposition.

I am not sure any more, which issues Gov. Crist supports. He appears to go with the tide.

R24189 supporter of the Fair Tax and less government.

I was wondering when and if you would endorse Marco Rubio. I am heartened to see such good leaders who stand firmly on solid conservative principles stepping up to challenge the status quo. Thank you for this endorsement. I plan to support him.

Awesome endorsement! I wonder when the establishment will wise up and start listening to the people. Marco Rubio is the real conservative in this race and he is what we need to energize the party across the nation.

    Tim at 4:23:

Who other states elect as their senators is extremely important to the rest of the country. Look at the makeup of the Senate and House right now. Because liberal democrats have the votes, we cannot stop ridiculous legislation like what is being voted on this week (card check in the Senate and cap and trade in the house) and other things to come up in the future - health care, etc. We are powerless to stop it because those who have been elected have stopped listening to reason and we do not have the votes. It is imperative that we do what we can to elect conversatives across this country in 2012 and that is what Gov. Huckabee is committed to doing. We need to help him accomplish these goals.

The Rubio/Crist race in Florida is extremely important because the National Republican Senate Committee (party elite) has endorsed Crist. Rubio is the ultimate conservative candidate - far above Crist and his moderate behavior. This race is the "elite" (RINOS) against the grassroots (us). We have to stand for Rubio!

I'm curious. I don't want to seem like I'm letting Florida hang themselves, and I DO care that conservatives from across the country are in office, but how am I to help my LOCAL candidates if I'm supporting all these candidates outside of my voting districts?

Shelley, you at least partly answered my question, and I did as you suggested. Thanks.

I encourage all Huck supporters to go to www.marcorubio.com and sign up as a supporter and make a donation (even a small one)! Then send them an email to tell them that "Huck sent you!" Let Marco know that a Huckabee endorsement means something!

To resonate a bit with Sarah Scott's concern about credit card use (those balances can become toxic very quickly, can't they)

What kind of fees do candidates and PACs have to pay when we donate via credit card? Is it better to donate a lump sum to HuckPAC, or to spread donations around to individual candidates? (Like most of us grassroots "little people", I don't have a lot of money to donate.)

Also, thank you for not sending out lots of expensive mailings for HuckPAC or Team Huck. I know that is a legitimate campaign expense, but when we get one of those bulky things in the mail from a good cause, I always sigh...seems a waste to spend so much on lots of paper that in most cases just goes into the recycle bin without generating results.

I just received the good news about Marco Rubio for Senate, from Gov. Mike Huckabee, and I've already made a donation on Marco Rubio's web site.

    God bless Marco Rubio.
    God bless Mike Huckabee.

Do not let your heart be troubled.
    GOD WILL PROVIDE.

    Governor Huckabee...

Thank you so much for endorsing Marco Rubio! He will be a great Senator for Florida! He did an excellent job as leader of the Florida State House and represented the people in Florida very well. He kept property taxes low, routinely fiscally balanced the Florida budget, did not support illegal immigration, and is a leader and statesman of all family values.

Charlie Christ recently raised property taxes on Floridians, accepted bailout monies from Mr. Obama, did not support off shore drilling, supported the Bush family comprehensive "illegal immigration plan," and was not a leader of family values.

This is an important race for the conservative Republican Party as is
the race for Governor of Iowa.

Team Huck let us roll up our sleeves and return the Republican Party back to our core values and get Marco Rubio elected as Senator of Florida and Bob Vander Plaats elected as Governor of Iowa. We can and we will do it!!!!!

As someone who volunteered for you last year and who saw you off from the Tampa Airport, I am delighted that you have endorsed Marco Rubio. I heard Mr. Rubio speak to a group of educators last fall and was enormously impressed with him. Floridians need to get behind this man and elect him to the Senate.

  • France, Nick

    06/23/2009 10:31 PM

As a Floridian that backed you, Governor, in the Florida primaries, I'll be voting for Marco Rubio as well.

  • Wilson, Carla

So glad to see that Huckabee is supporting Marco Rubio!!! Let's win that Senate seat!

I am so glad to have people like you and Chuck Norris fighting for our freedom.

Excellent endorsement! Marco is a true conservative (like Gov. Huckabee)!

Folks, this will be an important race - the establishment against the grassroots. We need to do what we can to help Marco win in Florida and send a message to the entire country that we will not be marginalized!

Thank you for endorsing Marco Rubio. I am excited about all he has to offer and have been telling my friends about him. We need Marco Rubio in the Senate.

Thank you Gov. Huckabee for this endorsement! I will be proud to have Marco Rubio as my Senator from Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Captain Obvious

    06/23/2009 06:02 PM

Once again, I'm excited that from Missouri I can support Marco Rubio in Florida. Thanks for HuckPAC, Governor Huckabee!

Now, about the background--you very wisely selected a display case with a diamond pattern, obviating any suggestion of a (gasp) FLOATING CROSS! I have to confess (antique shopping being part of my genetic make-up) that I strain to get a better look at the china and glassware in the cabinet.

One criticism, Governor; I think a much better background for your blogs would be your desk in the Oval Office. Please make an old lady happy and broadcast from there someday. Okay?

ABOUT TIME!!! I was wondering when you were finally going to endorse Marco. I decided to support Marco from the beginning because I knew that he is a man of principle since he endorsed you for president last year. By endorsing you, it showed me that he chose principles over political influence and expediency. Now you returned the favor. Your endorsement is certainly going to create a lot of enthusiasm here in Florida. Welcome aboard Mike. Let us all join together with God's help to get this principled man in office and others like Rubio.

    For Christ I stand,

Thank you for endorsing Marco Rubio, we need him in the white House! I am also thrilled that you were able to enjoy Cuban coffee with Marco Rubio in our great city. God bless you as you press on for our nation.

Marco Rubio worked his socks off when he was Speaker of the House to try to reduce property taxes for Floridians. If all of his policies had been adopted, Florida might not have had the housing burst that is a major problem now. People won't buy property because of the astronomical property taxes here. Get to know this man by watching his farewell to the House speech--be sure to watch to the end, and just imagine a debate with Charlie Crist? Watch the speech at http://beltwayblips.dailyradar.com/video/marco_rubio_farewell_address/

Thank you Mr. Huckabee for your endorsement of a true conservative American rather than his opponent who is more a true career politician. Your willingness to stand up for your beliefs in this situation will hopefully inspire others to do the same and choose the right person to speak for all of us in Florida. RUBIO 2010!

  • Joseph

    06/23/2009 11:21 AM

Kudos to you Governor Huckabee for not being afraid to go against the grain in your support of Marco Rubio. It should not even be an issue because Charlie Crist should not be running as a Republican anyway, let alone be endorsed by the Republican Establishment. Marco Rubio is a great candidate and will serve Florida well. I could not be more excited about a candidate that I can't even vote for because of living in a different state. I am definitely sending money to Rubio. It's long passed time to kick RINO's to the curb and get back to Conservatism.

I see this race as a bell weather race for the republican party. Thanks Gov Huckabee for staying involved in such things!!

My last comment was too snippy and I actualy hadn't seen the video yet just read the title.

Great video! Thanks for standing up for a consistent conservative who values principle over political pragmatism (like yourself).

Hope to see you in Florida again soon (but not too soon as I'm out of the country, how 'bout middle of August), and if not there I'll be in New York in not too long and I'd like to see you both there too!

About time! The e-mail slip's been out quite a while but I guess the timeing is pretty good following up DeMint and hopefuly preceding many others. Any chance you can get him on your show?

  • Cleveland, Gene

    06/23/2009 10:27 AM

I agree with this endorsement. However we should comment on why we are not supporting the other guy. Our Country has had enough RINO Republicans in power. In case you are not informed they are "Republicans In Name Only". Liberals walking within the Republican Party!

  • Bernath, Annamarie

He sounds like a perfect candidate. He will have my vote.

  • Scott, Sarah

    06/23/2009 09:39 AM

I am a Huckabee supporter but I have one minor issue with this video. And please understand that I am not speaking against anyone when I say this. As someone in the process of the Total Money MakeOver by Dave Ramsey, I find it rather frustrating that people talk about debt and spending and then say "donate generously to x campaign with your credit card." I know that it's a picky thing on my part but it really is aggravating. Debit cards can be used as "credit cards" but just the wording of it bothers me. I know Gov. Huckabee isn't promoting debt but I'm just more sensitive to these things because of where we are financially.

All that aside, I think it's a great endorsement. I'm so glad that Huckabee is a hopeful face in these uncertain times. Thank you for caring about our country and the road it is on. Thank you for not giving up or backing down. Thank you for helping Republicans everywhere have a voice.
