A ruthless politician, but dressed very fancy
Very ambitious, she got herself elected Speaker
But as for keeping secrets, she proved quite a “leaker.”
She flies on government planes coast to coast
And doesn’t mind that our economy is toast
She makes the Air Force squire her in their military jets
There’s room for her family, her staff, and even her pets.
Until now, she annoyed us, but her gaffes were mostly funny;
Even though it was painful to watch her waste our tax money.
But now her wacky comments are no laughing matter;
She’s either unwilling to tell the truth, or she’s mad as a hatter!
She sat in briefings and knew about enhanced interrogation;
But claims she wasn’t there, and can’t give an explanation.
She disparages the CIA and says they are a bunch of liars;
Even the press aren’t buying it and they’re stoking their fires.
I think Speaker Pelosi has done too much speaking;
And instead of her trashing our intelligence officials, it’s her nose that needs tweaking.
If forced to believe whether the CIA and her colleagues in Congress are lying;
Or it’s Speaker Pelosi whose credibility and career is dying.
I believe in the integrity of the men and women who sacrifice to keep us safe;
Not the woman who has been caught flat-footed, lying to our face.
I say it here and I say it rather clear—
It’s time for Nancy Pelosi to resign and get out of here.

I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did watching your show and hearing you recite this. The saddest part is that it's all true and we are all paying for her mistakes. She is an embarrassment!!

Nancy Pelosi is fast becoming an embarrasment to all including
members of the democratic party. I think there are democrats that are starting to see her in a different light. She is definitley going to be under the same scrutiny that she forced on President Bush. It will be interesting to see how much heat she can take. -

Oh Huskers, I'm so glad you love my state too! Wish we could have gotten together, but that's a little far from my neck of the woods--it would have broken my heart had you been near KC and we had not gotten to meet each other!

What is so frustrating to me is how Nancy Pelosi was so quick to criticize Pres Bush during the Katrina catastrophe which was so overwhelming for all involved. She called him oblivious and dangerous because he did not jump on her demand to fire the head of fema.
I also am somewhat concerned about the people in Pennsylvania who have to choose between Arlen Spector and Pat Toommy for Senator. (Pat Toommy is the former head of "Club for Growth.) To me, this appears to be a no win situation.

Yes, Gov Huckabee read his poem on his show this past weekend.
Senator Arlen Specter is defending Pelosi today and criticizing the CIA. He will make a fine liberal democrat. Good to hear that some Democrats think that she should step down. -

I enjoyed your poems--it relieves some stress, doesn't it! Did Governor Huckabee read his aloud on this week's program?
Looks like some Democrats feel she should step down, too.

Captain Obious and Jill--
I share your desire to meet with all the Huckabeans and Gov. Huckabee even if he doesn't run for re-election in 2012.
I am also concerned about the direction of the Republican Party. I debated with a person on Facebook who indicated that Americans should move to the left with the rest of the world.
This is very troubling as it seems that is what this National Republican Senatorial Committee is saying. I don't see Gov. Huckabee taking this compromising position.
So Captain, you could be right in your assessment of this party as it stands now--it seems that many are placing the sanctity of life and traditional marriage on the back burner. This is truly a sad situation.

Captain Obvious,
that would be a dream come true for all Huckabeans to meet the night of Huck's acceptance speech. I wonder if the GOP already has a designated city to hold the next event. May be a little too soon.
I am concerned about the Census Bureau's move to the White-house. Wonder if there is any GOP VIP keeping tabs on it ?? We must be concerned with all elections leading up to and including the next presidential election. Our concern is for some possible selective redistricting to tilt the elections. (connection to ACORN .. possible) Definitely not a far-fetched possibility. duh?I have been just thinking today about 'What Ifs' ....
What if something happened to Obama?
Joe Biden
What if something happened to Joe Biden?
PelosiNO win-win here that I can see. Joe keeps letting those cats out, telling everyone where the secret vice-presidential bunker is ....
NO secret NO more. Just another gift for Huckabee's Show 'The Joe Biden Comedy Hour'We know all about Pelosi and Governor Huckabee is dead right! I trust his judgment.

"Follow The Leader" was the name of her game,
But those who followed became very lame.She smiled as she said, "We Are Ready to Lead,"
But to our voices she did not heed.
She took the gavel and spoke with pride,
"though to our principles she did not guide.Her game could have been a game of perfection,
had she only led in the right direction.Her many followers were known as cheaters,
so please be aware of these liberal leaders.From her direction, I choose to flee,
and follow the lead of Mike Huckabee!! -

About term limits: the first time I was attracted to this idea, years ago, someone replied that there are two problems with term limits. First, a Congressman is like a bottle of wine: he or she gets better with time and experience. By the time a Congressman becomes really competent, the term would be over. And second, since the Presidential office does have term limits, the chief executive needs experienced men and women around to provide guidance. If everyone in the executive and legislative branches and their staffs were recent to government service, the quality of the decision making would be diminished. And the fate of the nation rests on those decisions.
So, as usual, there are two sides to the story. But with the ascendancy of the special interests, the balance may have tilted to the point where the loss of that wisdom and skill might be the lesser of two evils.

Jill, thank you for your encouragement. Still looking forward to meeting you and all the Huckabeans at the convention where Governor Huckabee accepts the nomination...maybe of a new conservative American party...not holding out much hope for the erstwhile GOP.
Mr McMillion,
from your post:
Show us some solutions. Dazzle us with thoughtful ideas. Inspire us with integrity.
'Pears to me Governor Huckabee keeps on doing that. Currently he is sharing his common sense approach to healthcare (Read his books and listen to his speeches; thoughtful ideas abound). SOMEONE needs to speak up about gross and flagrant derelictions--like Nancy Pelosi's. When someone like Governor Huckabee, whose conduct toward opponents is legendary for its gentle courtesy, feels strongly enough to call for her resignation, her resignation is long overdue.

She should be the first of the liars to go,
But others should follow, and vanished
be heard from no more. Some already banished
from my house; the journalists, legs all a-tingle
Instead of the truth, it's a blurb and a jingle.
So I've decided, can't trust them; who needs them?
Don't turn to their channels, and no longer read them.
Objective integrity? Hah! They are selling.
How sadly we've needed the truths they aren't telling.
But all is not lost into doom, gloom, and woe
When we can tune in to the Huckabee show! -

I enjoyed reading all the comments to the post. There was only one or two of you that wrote too loud. I need to remember these comments are only our opinions.
After reading the poem about the Speaker, it made me want to read poems aobut all our other Congressional leaders. Who said that a poem is worth a thousand words.
In my opinion Speaker Nancy Pelosi has taken control since the Nov 2006 elections. She has pretty much selected all the Democratic House of Representative candidates during and since the Nov 2006 elections. The House of Representatives have been the voice of Rep Nancy Pelosi for too long. The people / States need to get their Representatives back.
We need Representatives who acknowledge term limits, don't require automatic pay increases, can't be bought by lobbyist and read understand bills / amendments before voting on them.
Last I heard Speaker Pelosi has over 120 paid staff and a private jet. Sounds a little bit too much to me. It also sounds to me the last stimulus package satisfied a lot that was on her wish list.
Speaker Pelosi leaves us speechless.

Stephanie,
I agree Mike Huckabee is awesome, but could not agree totally with your post.
I think Mike Huckabee is a politician and a whole lot more than just a show host , and he absolutely tells the truth.. We are supporting his battle , and hoping he will be our next President... And, he is leading the country in to a more conservative government , if we left it all to the politicians we would really be in trouble..I hope Gov. Huckabee gets what he trying to do, get them the government back to the right, not farther to the left... Or, get the ones that are taking us into a debt so great , it will be a burden to our Great Grandchildren....voted out of office... "Go Huckabee", but get some rest once in awhile, we will really need you in 2012....
Mr McMillion needs to go back to what ever left wing party he supports, he would be a lot happier.
I do not always think Gov. Huckabee's jokes are funny, guess it makes him human, to have one little fault.....
This poem wasn't as funny as it was, truthful.And, I really think all of human life is in trouble, with Pelosi She would rather save a little fish, that is not extinct , than let the people have water.....

I don't think Nancy Pelosi a/k/a Fancy Hellosi, ever tells the truth. JUST GET HER OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE!! SHE IS TOTALLY FAKE..I WONDER HOW MUCH $ SHE SPENT ON HER FACE/BODY...IT'S LIKE SHE IS AFRAID TO SMILE, NOTICED TODAY, EVEN HER WALK SEEMS PHONEY. All-in-for-mike--
I would also like to know what Gov. Huckabee's response is to President Obama's speech at Nortre Dame, especially his trying to justify embryonic stem cell research. Oh my goodness, just think about all those young graduates he tried to influence with this deceitful statement.
Also, excellent comments on Randall Terry and the need for a spiritual revival. I totally agree.

Gov.Huckabee, do you have a statement in response to President Obama's speech at Notre Dame?
I heard Randall Terry say that one problem we have is, they want us to have a gentle and respectful dialogue about tearing babies apart. Thoughts?
Again, we're reminded that what we REALLY need is not political regime change, but spiritual revival. America desperately needs God to turn our hearts back to Him. If America had more Christians... and if more of the Christians had a Biblical worldview...then we wouldn't have to worry about whether a pro-life candidate would win.

John McMillion 05/17/2009 7:43 pm Mike Huckabee did "show us some solutions, dazzle us with thoughtful ideas, and inspire us with integrity" when he ran for President. In his criticism, he always differentiated between the person and their policies. He set an impossibly high standard for himself that no one could live up to forever. Since he became a private citizen, his halo slipped a couple of times, but he is still the best hope that America has. I suspect you agree.

You've written a poem about Nancy
Though performing the same could be chancy
But with boldness and wit
You have delivered it
Now poems to Huck are like novels to ClancyYou've told the truth about the speaker
Who at the State of the Union was quite the cheer leader
You've said she should go
And we're with you, you know
Cause even the PC press don't believe herSo all patriots now be effected
Let Pelosi's values be rejected
The liberals be gone
They'll be a new dawn
And the poet in chief gets elected -

Cool poem, Mike!
Here's a slogan we can use:
"Don't pass the Buck, let's help Huck locate 3 more fans!"http://www.freewebs.com/huckapedia
Huckabee holds the key to our future, let's keep raising the bar for Mike each and every day!
Texas reclaimed the lead from Florida Huckabee Fans. California took back it's 3rd place over Ohio, but watch out, now here comes Georgia Huckabee Fans on a run. Can they pass up Ohio and California Huckabee Fans?
Huckabee Fans sure are the strongest, hardest working, most determined fans out there! Keep working hard, don't look back until we cross the finish line with Mike on November 6, 2012!!!
Thanks,

Mr. McMillion,
You must be a Donkey, because at least most Elephants have a sense of humor. Please understand that in this time of crisis we need some laughter. Now if I thought for one moment Speaker Pelosi could not take it or really cared about what Mike Huckabee or the rest of us Astra-turf, right wing extremist, TEA party goers thought, I would feel sorry for her.
But frankly, she and her Donkey and far left companions have led us to the brink of no return and my compassion goes out to my children and grandchildren who may very well live in a world of tyranny if we allow the back room deals to continue.
It has nothing to do with fear or hate. It has to do with being an American and loving this country.
By the way Newt, Rush, Mike, and others on the Conservative side have been absolutely trashed many times with no basis in reality; only because they hold the a Constitutional viewpoint of smaller government, a strong military, and a return of power and freedom to the people.
So give me a break!
By the way it is just my humble opinion and astute observation that maybe President Obama may be tiring of the Speaker since the CIA Director (although Mike says he is an honest man) serves at the pleasure of the President and he was quick to refute Ms. Nancy. Think about it! -

Mr. Huckabee,
I was a fan of yours in the primaries because of your Biblical background, but this message is the antithesis of what I look for in a leader. This gossip-filled rhetoric is shameful, even if it contains elements of truth. This does not inspire me to support you more, but less. I'm tired of politicians who tear down other people, and with the same breath, say they will reach across party lines to work together. I'm not buying it. Tell me how this poem helps the guy in the hospital with cancer and no health insurance. How does this poem resolve the escalating prices of Medicare and Medicaid, by far our nation's biggest budget liabilities? The GOP is doomed if they stick to the same fear-based party bashing tactics of the past.
Show us some solutions. Dazzle us with thoughtful ideas. Inspire us with integrity.

It's not just Nancy Pelosi who concerns me, it's a good share of the people Obama has chosen to surround him. Too many of them have problems which should have been looked into more carefully. I don't know what I should about political issues but I do know right from wrong and what's been happening to each and every taxpayer in this wonderful USA is very wrong. Shame on you Washington D.C. How about less spending, more concern for the regular guy and putting God back at the head of government.

Sometimes it is amazing to just stand back, and see the hand of God at work.. This woman has been a deciever, and spoke words of pure hate. She has seemed like a woman incapable of caring about our people, and our country..By her own hate ,& wanting to completely destroy the Bush Administration..
And , even winning the Senate,and almost completely in control, did she let it go. It seems no matter how she damages our country's safety..she can not let it go..
Her hate can not be stopped.. She in certainly out of control, and by her own words & her hate she is destroying her career.
And, I would not be surprised at all to see her in a straight jacket, and hand carried, out...I just think it is amazing how God works......
