Mike Huckabee Will Fight For Us

Hi there! I'm a conservative Christian mother of 2, 5th grade teacher, Air Force veteran, doctoral student (Effects of Parental Involvement on Academic Intrinsic Motivation of Students), and author (Doormats & Control Freaks) who wants to see a major reform in America - a return to ethics, morality, integrity, and values based on the principles on which our great country was founded. I truly believe that Mike Huckabee stands for all that our founding fathers dreamed and fought for. Huckabee will fight without ceasing to bring Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness for ALL back to our blessed nation.

    This year I was able to go back into the classroom after 8 years - teaching History, Psychology and Government. What a privilege during the election year! I am so surprised at the apathy of high school students.

    I made a donation for HuckaTEN - to put the Ten Commandments back in the classroom. They provide a moral compass that all people can live by - no matter what religion.

    I encourage everyone to join the PAC and make a contribution. We need Mike Huckabee as our next Commander in Chief!

    A modern day Thomas Paine was on Glenn Beck a couple days ago, and he has an update on the Tea Bag mailings. He says that the mail sorters are throwing out the tea bags for fear that they may contain controlled substances. He says, do not send the entire teabag, but rather pull off the tab and string and send that in the mail.

    I think it is so wonderful that Gov. Huckabee has many supporters who are so gifted like yourself who are ready and willing to use these skills for the promotion of the values and principles that ultimately will bring our country back to what our founding fathers intended.

    I am amazed at how so many have forgotten what life was like 30 to 50 years ago. When did it become customary and acceptable to be silent. Things may never be the same but history does have a strange way of repeating itself. What is going on in this country today is a disgrace. Many of us refuse to be a part of the so called mainstream as the accepted thought process of people today is totally out of sinc with the true values and practices which made this counrtry a great nation. Those who have spoken the loudest have shadowed those who thought all would be okay and someone else would take care of things and make it right. It is time to speak back and even louder and take back our country from those who are intent on destroying strong family values, a model education system, conviction to clear moral beliefs and a strong adherence to the Constitution and our God given rights as defined by our forefathers. It is not too late and some of us will continue to teach our children the real right from wrong.

    Wow! What a blessing you are. Mega-Ditto's. Yes, Live it, don't just talk about it.
    Here's an observation for everyone...When our government keeps us focused on the "Big" Federal Government in Washington, all of us feel "small" and insignificant...When we feel small, we feel that our voice is too small and we stop acting on anything...My point is that our founding father's new that government in the hands of the people at "state" level, gave the people more sense of belonging to the process...so...fight for state's rights!

    I have pretty much steered clear of the HuckPAC website in the past six months because I see that many of you don't even realize that you are part of the problem with the conservative movement and it breaks my heart.

    When are we going to start thinking for ourselves? I am so tired of all the hoo-hah for people like Coulter, Hannity, Rush, Ingraham, etc. Why are people still listening to them? Do they REALLY represent your views? If so, I want nothing to do with that kind of "conservative" party.

    I have the feeling that many of the people (not all - thank you Doctor David and Sunny) on this blog would vote for a Republican no matter WHO it was. This is precisely why I switched to an Independent a few years ago. I simply cannot be a part of party that is so greedy and concerned only with fiscal conservatism and being 'right" (correct). What about social conservatism? What about love for our neighbor?

    I'm going to post correspondence that I had with my pastor yesterday. When you read it, you will be left with no doubts about why the Republican party is in shambles. I'd like to think we can do something about the problem, but it has to first start with all of us. Anybody interested in signing a "critical thinking skills" pledge? I'm in!

    I will try to be motivated to check back on HuckPAC from time to time. Only for Mike and for the few on here who agree with me that it's time to turn off our radios and tv's and to start thinking for ourselves.

    When I discuss what "government" is doing to us, I always put names to it. Rather than saying, "The government is...," I tell people that Rep. Tim Holden, Sens. Specter & Casey, and Pres. Obama are doing this to us. It seems to personalize it more & may carry more weight in the voting booth. At least I can hope.

    Subject: Tea Party-Please read and react

    An original idea from an American somewhere in the United States.

    There's a storm abrewin'. What happens when good, responsible people keep quiet? Washington has forgotten they work for us. We don't work for them. Throwing good money after bad is NOT the answer. I am sick of the midnight, closed door sessions to come up with a plan. I am sick of Congress raking CEO's over the coals while they, themselves, have defaulted on their taxes. I am sick of the bailed out companies having lavish vacations and retreats on my dollar. I am sick of being told it is MY responsibility to rescue people that, knowingly, bought more house than they could afford. I am sick of being made to feel it is my patriotic duty to pay MORE taxes. I, like all of you, am a responsible citizen. I pay my taxes. I live on a budget and I don't ask someone else to carry the burden for poor decisions I may make. I have emailed my congressmen and senators asking them to NOT vote for the stimulus package as it was written without reading it first. No one listened. They voted for it, pork and all.

    O.K. folks, here it is. You may think you are just one voice and what you think won't make a difference. Well, yes it will and YES, WE CAN!! If you are disgusted and angry with the way Washington is handling our taxes. If you are fearful of the fallout from the reckless spending of BILLIONS to bailout and "stimulate" without accountability and responsibility then we need to become ONE, LOUD VOICE THAT CAN BE HEARD FROM EVERY CITY, TOWN, SUBURB AND HOME IN AMERICA. There is a growing protest to demand that Congress, the President and his cabinet LISTEN to us, the American Citizens. What is being done in Washington is NOT the way to handle the economic free fall.

    So, here's the plan. On April 1, 2009, all Americans are asked to send a TEABAG to Washington , D.C. You do not have to enclose a note or any other information unless you so desire. Just a TEABAG. Many cities are organizing protests. If you simply search, "New American Tea Party", several sites will come up. If you aren't the 'protester' type, simply make your one voice heard with a TEABAG. Your one voice will become a roar when joined with millions of others that feel the same way. Yes, something needs to be done but the lack of confidence as shown by the steady decline in the stock market speaks volumes.

    This was not my idea. I visited the sites of the 'New American Tea Party and an online survey showed over 90% of thousands said they would send the teabag on April 1. Why, April 1?? We want them to reach Washington by April 15. do it? I will. Send it to; 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington , D.C. 20500 .

    Forward this to everyone in your address book. Visit the website below for more information about the 'New American Tea Party'. I would encourage everyone to go ahead and get the envelope ready to mail, then just drop it in the mail April 1. Can't guarantee what the postage will be by then, it is going up as we speak, but have your envelope ready. What will this cost you? A little time and a 40 something cent stamp.

    What could you receive in benefits? Maybe, just maybe, our elected officials will start to listen to the people. Take out the Pork. Tell us how the money is being spent. We want TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY. Remember, the money will be spent over the next 4-5 years. It is not too late.

    While I appreciate and agree with the sentiment about ethics and integrity, trying to convert all 360,000,000 Americans at one time might prove difficult, so I would suggest we concentrate all of out efforts on the 435 Representatives and 100 Senators in Washington DC. It amazes me that the people who create, interpret and enforce our laws are given the most tolerance when it comes to abiding by them. I think we should demand the highest standards from them and when they break the law the fact that they are an elected official should be a grievous aggravating factor.

    I agree with all of you, and stand with Gov. Huckabee: I sit here and tremble, at the thought that the Socialistic Democrats that now control both houses andthe presidency, will find a way to corrupt every election held now with there power and money and illegal friends like ACORN, not to mention George Sorros. There is no doubt what "CHange" Obama ran on, he wants a communist nation. I believe in "GOD" and the USA!! Lead us in the fight Mike. I'm with you.

    Our friend Governor Huckabee and other Conservatives are speaking up for us and we're delighted that we have a voice which will clearly spell out how we feel. But we mustn't take them for granted. We all have representatives on the Hill which we are obligated as citizens to write them and speak up for ourselves. The email is a gift to us for just that purpose and we should use it consistently. For those who think our Reps won't pay heed to what we say, that's nothing but an excuse to let someone else do it for us. Consider this - If we get on the bandwagon and do some of the fighting ourselves and Huckabee keeps drilling away, then in unity there's strength - we CAN turn the tide but we must DO SOMETHING ON OUR OWN AS WELL!!

    Governor Huckabee, We realize the traditional Republican Party has been "castrated" largely due to many leading double lives.......It always catches up with a person....sometimes sooner/sometimes later.

    We are deeply thankful that you have given us Hope that we can Build a truly Conservative Party. As a descendant of Alexander Hamilton and Sam Houston (on the Hamilton line) I am deeply thankful that Courage runs through my bloodline. I have felt it even from my earliest memories of childhood....it has never left me even at age 63......

    God has given you special favor at this critical time in our nation's history. We have watched you use it wisely and well....STAY the Course. Your thoughts and sentiments reveal not only ours, but a large segment of Americans. Many of us continue on our knees before the LORD. HE IS hearing our prayers.....ALL is NOT lost.

    We ALL need to fight for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Constitution is literally under assault, folks. The Obama administration and the Marxist led Democrat Congress are in control. They are not incompetent, they know exactly what they are doing and they are taking us exactly where they want to, and they are succeeding so far with the quiet resignation, apathy and/or naive "hope" of the American people.

    We have got to wake up and organize, people!

    Can anyone confirm the truth of this?
