I thought I could escape the inauguaration ceremonies by going to get a manicure today........NOT! They had it on and I was in tears just listening to it. I just can't accept him as my president!

(The following is the email that I sent out this morning: I would like to start a IL for Huckabee, if someone would tell me how.)
I have decided to volunteer as time allows for Gov Mike Huckabee who I got a phone call from 2 days before Christmas, as a thank you for the phone calls to GA for the run off vote.
This video came in today. When you click to the link, at first the video seems rather tame; many (according to the posted blogs) are not understanding what the fuss is about. The request is for help....and suggestions. But it is limited to his campaign volunteers, not to the general public. Therefore, his received suggestions will strictly from democrats. Furthermore, it is my understanding that work will begin for his 2nd term from day one.
Two other issues that concern me. First, I find it amazing that with the economic issues of our time, that the FIRST order of business will be:
CNN reported that Obama is considering issuing an executive order to reverse a controversial Bush administration abortion policy on his second day of office, which falls on the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion in the United States.
Three Democratic sources said Obama may use the occasion to reverse the "Mexico City policy" reinstated in 2001 by Bush that prohibits U.S. money from funding international family planning groups that promote abortion or provide information, counseling or referrals about abortion services. It bans any organization receiving family planning funds from the U.S. Agency for International Development from offering abortions or abortion counseling.
Secondly, a democratic senator has suggested doing away with the 22nd amendment that limits the terms of a president. ( see http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2009/01/14/three-terms-for-barack-obama/ ) At the same time, Pelosi is trying to extend her limits as Speaker of the House. Also there is a attorney from Chicago tied to Obama who is trying to change the requirement of the president from having been born in the US. ( see : http://countusout.wordpress.com/2008/11/28/obama-covertly-working-to-amend-the-natural-born-citizen-requirement/ )
Feeling concerned? Please join me at www.huckpac.com and volunteer.... please don't be so caught up in making history, that we forget to protect history, and the unborn. -

I grieved as I watched President Bush and Laura depart for Texas in the helicopter. Sadly, I no longer feel safe in America. I will pray for President Obama and rejoice that God is in control. Our new President is the embodiment of New Age thought and practice which will set the stage for a one world government. The Lord have mercy on our precious children and grandchildren and give us courage to be a voice for righteousness in our land. I have been reading through Isaiah and marvel at how the verses, although addressed to Israel, also could easily refer to America.

The death of respect in this country - is a sad thing. I actually heard "Boos" as the sitting President was seated this inauguration day 2009 in anticipation of the 44th's oath.
Not only that - but like a hated football rival the crowd sang out "Nah, nah, nah, nah... nah, nah, nah, nah...hey, hey...goodbye". Are these people so full of hate? That is not funny and reflects badly on the 44th President and his supporters. I would not do that to any of our Presidents - despite disgraces they may have brought upon the office.
44 has my respect as office holder - and what he has accomplished historically - a very proud moment for him, our nation and especially his party and supporters .
Well, we've been "kicking the tires" for two months as a nation - time to go for a ride and see if the performance matches the rhetoric.
He has the office, the power, the momentum and according to the video above - the moxie to keep on rolling for the public's donation dollars - let's see the performance.

We are Conservatives Now. Voted for McCain but He let us all down too. Doesn't he have enough money already? He had $700,000,000 before which he used to lie about McCain and make himself look good. I just remembered, to make him look good is hard, so it must take lots of money to do so. But really he spent all that and now he's asking for more. He probably pocketed alot of the campaign money anyway. 4 years from now, just think, all the "change" will be spent. And he'll start begging for dollars, and he'll come up with a story "It may take another term for that change to start happening." Oh, but he'll won't take us for idiots that time, but it won't work. I'm telling you 2 years or even less than a year from now, we'll begin to see more, and more Republicans get elected. Obama will be the downfall of the Democrat party. People who voted for him will begin to think "Gee, I thought he knew what he was talkin about, I thought he said CHANGE, I thought my taxes would be lowered, I thought the economy would improve, what now?" And after
critisising Bush so much, it's time for them to show us what they can do. We can only hope for the best, but it is unlikely. He will see how he does, and that is what he will be juged on. -

Hi Mike,
I really appreciate what you are doing.I would just like to say that a great amount of people are being deceived. The change that is talked about, is not the personell in DC, it will be the change from a democracy, to communism. It is sickening that our elected officials in Washington cannot see this. Or do they?
I probably will not be around to see this CHANGE (totally) but is sure to come. Hitler was loved when he began his reign. Remember??

As much as I am not "for" what the incoming President has to stand for (ambiguity, leaning toward socialism), I am a Christian and I do beleive in the Word and Promises of God.
With as much as many in the Christian movement prayed over this particular election and as many voters that turned out, I can not beleive that Mr Obama wasn't "placed" in his position. (***Whether that is to set forth future biblical events, who knows, and I wouldn't want to speculate either.) What I do know for sure is that we need to pray for this man, this nation, and the nation of Israel.
I am sad by the comments of creation17024 (rapture due to despair) language. I am human too and have occassionally thought this type dangerous mind-speak. But, I am reminded that we are the salt of the earth and we are hear ones who are really here on earth to inject "Real" change into this Godless world. We need continue to speak His Truth to this world of lost individuals. Despair should not be our drive, but instead Eternal Hope should be our motivator for action. It may only be one life we change, but that single life is important to God. And, He won't come back until that last soul (whomever he or she is) is redeemed; so giving up wouldn't accomplish must anyway.
So, please be motivated. Pray for opportunities to share the Truth, pray for courage to share when the opportunity arises, and pray that the Lord will give you words to speak that will trigger the heart of that one individual into seeking.
May Jesus bless all who agree and especially those of you who might not agree.

This subject matter pales when compared to the thing which should be claiming our concern and outrage - abortion. Why aren't you, and all of us, focused on that?? We know what is coming with FOCA, and that should be consuming us, at this point. All else is meaningless, as long as people are going to be given even more freedom, for years to come, to slaughter the most innocent among us. Though you campaigned as the pro-life candidate, not nearly enough time was devoted to that subject, and now, hardly anyone brings it up. The babies can't speak for themselves, but I hear them crying out from their furnaces and garbage heaps... It makes me unbelievably sad, and I am not proud to be an American... I don't care about how Obama wants to organize people, except for the ones working to pass FOCA; Thay need to be stopped, and that's where our efforts should be focused.... but they won't.

I suspect executive order number one will be to fund abortion. I fear that executive order number two will be to change the name of the country to SRA (socialist republic of America). Bail out the banks and they will pay for your party, then you bail them out some more. Bail out the newspaper industry, now you own banking and media. This is more than a bit scary.

We have supported you through your campaign, we watch you every Sunday Night....we are Christians who believe you in your views but we also are dumbfounded as to how OB has gotten as far as he has and NOT been called out by You and Our Republican leaders on his illigitamacy to the Whitehouse. NO ONE seems to be able to able to demand accountability anymore from the Top to the Bottom! Today our Constitution has been rendered Null and Void. There is no more TRUTH OR JUSTICE IN THIS COUNTRY and we are heading for another Civil War. His Comparing Himself to Abe Lincoln is correct ONLY in the fact that

Am I missing something? All I'm hearing is the broken record that is Obama talking about CHANGE and GRASSROOTS MOVEMENTS...again (*yawn*). While I'm interested to find out exactly what methods he intends to use to bring about this almighty CHANGE, the message here seems to be pretty benign. Frankly, I'm surprised to see this much outrage over this video. Again, maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm not seeing anything frightening or remotely threatening, much less dictator-esque, in what I just watched, only more of the same circular, vague rhetoric that we should all be used to by now.

Good morning, Mike and fellow bloggers.
Mike, as you requested, I watched the video on the Barack Obama campaign website: ". . . journey to change America . . .". To what? When was the video created and first posted?
Take a look at yourselves, leaders of the Republic Party -- you capitulated to the madness of ObamaMania.
BO was born to a "white" mother, so how is he the first "black" president.
Where can I find factual information regarding BO's birth certificate?

As unsettling as the Obama rhetoric may be (reminding me of earlier "citizen movements" sparked by such people as Mussolini, Stalin, Mao Tse Dung, JFK,Idi Amin, and others-yes Adolf Hitler, too), I'm reminded of the prophet Jeremiah's letter to the exiles in Jeremiah 29. Do read the passage ....We Christians ought to remember the prophet's words and put it into context of today's times....all things are for God's purpose and glory, even the current events. Mr. Mike, my wife and I do heartily support you and your words of wisdom; I'm sure you've read Jer 29 recently for your words echo those of the prophet. P.S. Why doesn't Obama have an American flag pin on his coat lapel?

This is a VERY REAL issue that is facing conservative values today. I believe that today on inaauguration day, we are witness to the turn of our country. Today we are, regardless of what the people want, turning away from values. We have been force fed homosexual rights, hollywoods values and we have allowed it all to happen. It is no longer enough to just turn it off or not attend events and issues we don't agree with. Today we will swear in a man who answered for nothing, and that we not VERY little about.
He will drive our country, along with the un-checked congress down a slippery slope. One I hope and pray we can withstand and recover from.
I am a Christian, and have always prayed for my leaders. However we need to MOVE NOW. We have to step up and make our voice heard. We can't let the minority legislate GOD out of our country. We have to stand up and be heard. Lift our voices and make known that more than half of our United States believe what the founding fathers started this country on. GOD.
We can move now and re-establish the GOP as a conservative standard in politics. Write your congressman, get involved here and at GOP.com. We have to. If you don't move... we will be forced fed things that we don't believe in and at that point. It will be too late.
STAND UP AND BE HEARD!!!

I find this man very frightening. So monotone and unemotional. It is easy to see that all of his messages are read. Where is his passion and concern? I for one don't know where to begin to fight this man and his movement. It seems to me that Americans really have no voice. I, too, am concerned about his being a natural born citizen. Where is the proof? I know that God is in control, but I don't really like the thought of suffering God's judgement on this country. Like another post, "what's the use" and "hopeless", I should be ashamed at my feelings - not a very good foot soldier for the Lord. I am a mother of 6 dear children and I am very concerned about their future. I'm just glad that I live in the hills in the middle of this country on some acreage and, if the need arises, live off the land. I feel like repeating Saint John's words, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

The Republican party and its leaders at the national level, and everyone that ran for president, and that includes you Mike, should have demanded to see that birth certificate.
The Republican party is the problem. They no longer represent us. It is time for a new conservative party. It could be up and running strong in 4 years. With the right candidates, local elections could be won setting up grassroots for the next presidential race.

I will pray that the heart of our new President will be turned toward God and he would desire to please God in all that he does.
I will pray that God mobilizes the hearts of His people throughout our nation to bring those who don't know Him to Himself and change our country from the bottom up, through hearts turning to Him and His Word, and seeking His face.
BO is a smart man in his methods, but I question the intent of his heart. Only God knows it truly, yet his words seem to reveal that he does not fear God. I pray for true turning to God in our country and throughout the world. -

I have always been a Democrat and voted for McCain this election. There is just something about Obama that I don't trust, the gut feeling a person is supposed to go by. I hope the people in this country wake up soon before it is too late. I pray everyday for our country. I believe the media got wrapped up in Obama and it just kept snowballing and got out of control. I haven't watched the news in a week or more because all they can talk about is Obama and I am tired of it. I hadn't heard about the birth cerficate thing but I don't understand our government as they just sit back and let this go by. Is it really true??? My opinion is we need a change in the whole government. The elected folks aren't for us and they shouldn't be able to be in there for life, that is how corruption gets by. All he says is true change must come from us, we have more power than what we are led to believe. I pray this will open some eyes & hearts. HE SPEAKS OF CHANGE but it is never explained. I have lived in my own skin people like Obama take over my country and History is full of power self absorbed characters. No need to not name them; we have knowledge of truth inside ourselves unless our consciences has been muted by our deviation from basic morality. We know by first and last name all the historical character that have killed million destroyed countries in order to feed the voracious hunger for power and control. I cannot believe a man who speaks greatly of fairness and human rights he is willing to take vile terrorist out Guantanamo camp – people who have been at war with us, hate us, and we are now going to give them full benefits of a USA citizen. Let us not mention how many attorneys will get wealthy out of defending this scum of the earth yet this semi-godlike figure so magnanimous with murderers, thieves, tax-evaders cannot find it is his tiny cold heart to defend the life of an innocent child born alive after budged abortion and forces the medical staff to have this child die alone in some closet without medical assistance. Yes we need to change; we need to speak up against all evils… I am waiting to see the reverend chosen to pray if he has sold his soul to the devil. I know this could be one of my last statements as I fear we have lost our basic freedoms. It was evident how Fox news was attacked and even worst how Joe the Plummer and Sarah Palin have been treated At least Palin was running for Vice –President but JOE he only wanted to know what & how the so called change would take place. It appears the change is put the Clintons back in the white house…. What is going to happen to the FBI – CIA – Homeland Security and partial birth abortion etc...? Etc… Yes change need to come from us, but who will speak, who will take our voices to the powers ………

Gov. Huckabee, I am the biggest fan in the world of yours. It was said on your tv show the other night, that the bible says God chooses our kings, and as was said here, our new Prez isn't even sworn in yet.
So let's have faith in God, and give Obama a chance. I have no doubt his heart is in the right place, it's just the methods that concern me. Regardless, it is what it is, and we can have positive, supportive attitudes like he is asking for, or we can rebel and disregard, which is exactly what is going to break this country down. We have to pull together, as conservatives, but also as Americans, and listen with an open heart to our leader, and pray for the best.
Remember, no matter what plan Obama has, God is ultimately in control, and he can shape Obama's time in office to suit His will. Let's pray for that, and offer this man who has this incredible challenge ahead of him, our open support to be team players. He's a listener, and it may be our very chance to constructively let him see the grounds of conservative belief.
It is what it is. Let's make that a positive, good thing, and make it good for all, including President Obama!

Dear Gov.Huckabee
I can't stand to watch it.
Sorry, my stomach churns inside to even see this socialist on my screen. I can't really see that there is any future for any of us. I don't think there is anything we CAN do. I think that the only hope is for the rapture and lets just get out of here... If you think I'm a bit religiously crazy, well, it doesn't really matter, does it. Actually, it's that sort of anti-God attitude that makes me think the way I do... I don't believe there is any hope. I think that a great many people have thumbed their nose at God (should they even admit he exist) and there isn't much reason to stick around... why beat our head against a wall... what's the use? -

If you think Barack Obama is not above the law, the constitutional law and simply needs to have his records “unsealed”…then go to Orly Taitz’s site. (Please pray for her and her family’s safety, too).
She has been a Russian citizen, but is now an American attorney. She has said that the media in this election as bad as the propaganda in Russia. Furthermore, that living in a communistic country is like living in a concentration camp.
You can tell that her communism experience in Russia is fueling her tenacity. This should speak volumes to us as Americans.
Actually even Justice John Roberts at one time thought the president wasn’t above the law. Listen especially from 1:00 going forward, I am thinking Justice John Roberts needs to be remind of his position that he vehemently held to be true.

I am grieved and also somewhat angered that conservative Republicans did nothing to combat this man in the same arena and fight on the same battlefield. As I write this we are less than two hours away from this man, this imposter taking the oath of office, putting his hand on a Bible, swearing an oath to support a constitutuion he states is faulty. If they/we (conservative Republicans) do not wake up NOW and do something about it we are facing eight years of change we can count on, change we will not be able to counter, change we will regret for generations to come. I am praying for America and I ask you all to do the same.

After viewing this video, my fright level was significantly elevated. I DO NOT wish Obama success, if his success means, as I fear, further progress along the path of changing America into a socialist republic. The followers of Obama have many of the characteristics of a cult. It astonishes me that so many of my compatriots seem poised to willingly walk off a cliff for him and "change." We must fight to preserve the ideals that have made our Nation great.

Mike,
You are spot on! As a businessman who understands the power of the internet, especially the power of social networking, I watched as Hillary and McCain were swept away by one of the most brilliant, organizational strategies ever. Obama's organization "got" the power of social networking, the most effective marketing of our day.
Hillary and McCain...they were clueless. The amazing thing is it basically cost the Obama campaign... zero!
This is precisely how conservatives MUST think to prevent perpetuation of this systematic erosion of our country. I am on board!

I am so deeply saddened...so full of sorrow. This is not the country my father, a B29 Captain, fought representing in WWII in the Mediterranean Theater during 81 bombing missions, coming back deaf from the roar of the props. He is a fatalist who prefers to utter "A 100 yrs from now, who will care?" and never participates in political conversations with my Mom and I. This isn't the country that my grandfathers helped form....both of whom worked shoulder to shoulder with 'colored' folk, building schools, houses and a future for everyone in the Deep South during the Great Depression, both also had grocery stores and helped many families thru lean times, always helping out and giving in their churches & communities. My grandparents would rejoice at the thought of a black president, but not one who came to power with no footprints...a manufactured mannequin, an empty suit with a hidden agenda, in a country whose politics now border on the criminal, a land devastated by 'legalized' corporate greed and a mounting debt that could buy most small countries. For a man to compare himself to a real man with a real past like Lincoln should be enough to make one pause and catch your breath, waiting for lightning to strike. But it doesn't... and this rock star lemming-like adulation is nothing short of astounding and leaves me wondering what the hell is in the water these days...and thank God I have an unpolluted well in the yard. I grew up in a Socialist/Communist country where you could not speak against the party in power (which was always the same one!) and now I see the trappings of the same play...just a whole lot slicker & scarier, and with the Bastion of Freedom (the USA) at stake...and a media all too happy to sweep any real questions and issues under the carpet regarding the Obamanation and all too ready to throw any conservative, any traditionalist, any person with God on their mind, in their hearts and on their lips under the bus. I fear for the country I want my son to grow up in. This is not the country I rallied conservative grassroots for in college for Reagan, this is not the country I wish to live in with openly gay communities and gay couples adopting children, their views being shoved down my throat even though it has been voted down again and again by the roughly 85% Christians in America. I don't want to look for my Constitution to fall back on and find that it has vanished, having been usurped by an agenda that most intelligent people who love the Principles this country was founded on to feel a sense of dread and foreboding. I am truly scared for once. Because for the first time I see a man who was not vetted properly or rather ALLOWED to be vetted by any real entity. He can't even hold up proof of who he is, where he is from or how he really got to the White House (none of his grades, college papers are available whereas every other person who wrote a thesis in Harvard had it published, etc) without a phalanx of legal eagles throwing up a steel wall or performing a strategic maneuver with smoke & mirrors. His stark lack of experience will be cushioned by the scary list of über liberals in his cabinet who will finish dismantling our country as we know it in favor of Supreme Court decisions modeled on the European Unions edict, 'abortions on demand' and an ever lowered age for our children to enter schools (so much the better for indoctrination of young minds into the 'system'), ever stricter gun control sanctions and God only knows what else is hovering in the shadows. I voted for Governor Huckabee in the Primaries and cried into my ballot in the General election where in my heart of hearts I wished that for lack of a backbone (McCain) I wanted Palin to be at the top of THAT ticket. As a mother of a 4.5 yr old boy whose former husband married her with a hidden agenda and then took everything her family had built and saved for a couple of generations (my folks are 85) plus gaining a US Citizenship (fraudulently) and then fled the country, leaving her to pick up the pieces, I definitely have a sixth sense for a fake now and now one is already preparing his platform for the next election! What Chutzpah! if I had the wherewithall, I would do one of 2 things, either run for office (but probably not get very far since I am unwilling to compromise my principles learnt @ Church & @ my father's knee) or I would leave if there were SOME place on earth where I could worship, feed my son and lead a relatively calm existence in peace...but I don't and that is not facing the reality and thus this huge challenge, we, as conservatives, have before us...so FIGHT we must and we must fight the good fight or die in the attempt, to paraphrase Patrick Henry, to keep ourselves free of bondage.

Someone has to stand up and tell the truth to the american public. If you look at the world today it is easy to see that higher taxes = higher poverty. This can be proven over and over. Easy example look @ Detroit. Raise taxes (city tax) everyone moves out business everything. The lower the tax the higher the freedom. Every dime spent by government is wasted. We in america are blessed. Someone living on welfare in the US is Very Rich compared to most people in other countries. There has to be a change in the culture before it gets better. Huck is the man for the job. I beg you mike Stand up and tell everyone the truth. It will save all of us. YOU know what I am talking about. I am sure you have heard Bob McEwen speek. if you do this you will win in 2012.

If Obama isn't forced to produce a valid birth certificate by the Republican leadership then we have a much bigger problem than just Obama. I'm watching this very closely and will be making note of who is and isn't enforcing our constitution. Time to call out the weakest links in our nation.

Without a vision, without boundaries, without limits, the people perish. A narrow majority of our people now continue to reject God's laws, guidance, and wisdom. Obama was elected by a narrow majority, but the truth is that the pendulum has swung past center. The media with its relentless ongoing portrayal of Christians as idiots does not help. People in our nation now believe that it is okay to vote for what appeals to their self interests and that God's Word has no bearing on how they should act or believe. As someone else noted, once people only act in their own self interests, democracy crumbles. Our nation is crumbling. And we now have a very smooth talking, promise-making, double-speaking person at the helm. I agree that people are almost hypnotized by him when he speaks which I think is incredibly scary. I have always understood that most people do not know how to think for themselves which has always surprised me somehow. It is frightening to see people dancing their way down this road of destruction. I also agree that having Rick Warren at the inauguration was a smooth piece of work. The truth of who he is, is clear in his selection of the other person who functions in a revisionistic version of Christianity. One will, hopefully, speak truth, and the other one will tickle the ears of the people. Even the enemy quoted scripture when he tested the Lord. It is clear that our new President is a Christian of the ilk of Bill Clinton... Carrying a Bible, without any intention of following its tenets. Frightening days are ahead, but God is still on His Throne. We must continue to pray for Obama's conversion. Remember, gross darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples, BUT THE LIGHT WILL RISE. And by the way, have the people forgotten the excessive amount of campaign money that was illegally contributed to his campaign? The trail is THERE. Yet people refuse to see.

Mr. Huckabee, as I watched you tonight on Gretta's show on FOX, you seemed optimistic about O'bama, or at least said we should give him a chance and not nit-pick everything he says.
But you are showing concern about him on your site here. I have admired you from the beginning, but I know that Ron Paul is the man who knows how to change our economy and get us back to a smaller government, free markets, balanced budget, and get some of our military home from other countries to do work that needs to be done here. I am a member of the Campaign for Liberty that he started, which is growing like crazy, with people running for local offices on up. He was never treated fairly for the media, and you, being a Christian, didn't lift a finger to help him.
