Be a whole lot better than Geraldo Rivera's soap opera special- which usuallys gets that slot. Uck!I pray that you can be yourself and not be pressured too much by all the politics that must be going on behind the scenes there! It must be a whirlwind. Tell it like it is, and if Obama makes another pig statement, call that double talk for what it is! (You know that's just like the code talk- two meanings in one statement.) I'm hoping Biden will make a anti-female male chauvinist -pig type statement at the debate and Sarah shoots back- time to break out the lipstick!
The name Sarah, when spelled with an 'H" means princess, when spelled without and "H" means foolish. Yes, a fact less well known, but Sarah also got a name change when Abraham did. -

HaHa- Break down and buy cable. You know what I did about that? I had basic cable and internet service only, and one day quite by accident found out that if I punched in the extended cable channel that I wanted to see, it would come up (vs flipping through those channels which won't work). So I get to see what I want without having to pay an outrageous price. It's my own version of the concept of pay only for the channels that you want, and I'm probably still overpaying- I don't even watch free sports! This happened some time right before the primaries so I figured God wanted me informed on what was going on and I was right becuase that's where I first saw Huckabee and realized that people could make an impact in this election. Not that fox does a whole lot of informing but now it's clear how bought out the whole system is, from business to government to media, it's all one big loop and we out to start reading between the lines and stop believing their garbage. -

Today I start "Walking the extra mile" around my neighborhood. Will you help cheer me on and help Mike at the same time? There is still $330.00 left to reach the goal I've set of $500.00 by September 30th. I know that sounds like a lot but It's not going to be that hard. Question -- are the two shows on separate nights going to be two different programs? Or is the Sunday night time slot just a repeat airing of the Saturday show?

FASTING FOR THE ELECTION?Dear Ones,
Have you already considered whether the Lord might wish for you to fast for the upcoming elections?
This election is historic, because the next President will probably get to appoint at least one or two Supreme Court Justices. Those judges, who in our current system get to have the "final say" on our laws, serve for the rest of their lives... sometimes 40 years.
At present, we have a divided Court -- 4 justices who reliably lean toward liberal principles, 4 justices who reliably lean toward conservative principles, and one who tends to "swing" in either direction. But two of the liberal justices are very old or in poor health. Did you know that several years ago, the infamous Roe v. Wade abortion decision was almost overturned? But justice Anthony Kennedy changed his mind at the last minute, and instead it was reaffirmed.
Also, the U.S. Senate gets to vote on the nominees for the Supreme Court. The Senate is also bitterly divided, almost evenly.
It's not an overstatement to say....the upcoming election is CRUCIAL.
If you feel led by the Spirit to do a 40-day fast, it would begin this Friday, Sept. 26 (if I'm counting right). That would include the day of Tues., Nov. 4th, Election Day, as a fast day.
If you can't fast from all food, please consider any sacrificial offering to the Lord. How about a "Daniel Fast"-- no meat, no sweets, not treats; only wholesome food and plenty of water. Or perhaps fasting from sweets/treats? Music and radio? Shopping? Sports on TV?
You can fast from anything that you usually enjoy which, if it were removed, would continually re-direct your thoughts, attention, and affections to God and the urgent prayer needs of our time.
If you will commit your heart to a fast, God will give you strength to keep this vow. If you've never fasted before, you'll be surprised at the spiritual acuity that grows. I promise you'll grow in many ways! And -- as Mike Huckabee has experienced when losing 110 pounds -- it feels great to experience how God gives you the strength to say "no" and gain more control over earthly longings.

I hope things go well for you with Fox News.I also want to say that it was a pleasure meeting you and your daughter a week ago at the Hunter breakfast in San Diego. I received the notice late the night before and changed my morning plans to attend.
When you left the campaign I wrote you a thank you letter for all you had done and the inspiration you had been to many of us "first time being involved in politics persons”. My wish then was that I would one day shake your hand and thank you face to face. Well I got that opportunity last week. Thanks also for the photo and signing my copy of From Hope to Higher Ground.I'm like many others, we are focused on the task at hand but also looking to the future. Your speech last Friday was once again inspirational. As I spend time volunteering for the current causes, I still remember what we "Rangers" did for your campaign and I keep thinking of the words from one of your postings many months ago . . .

Congratulations and our prayers are with you, Governor Huckabee! Can't wait to watch, and you can be assured we will pray all Saturday afternoon when FOX is "taping" the show.
Wow, first time your own show! Any nerves? Probably you will sail through the show, just like you have when hosting for Paul Harvey or Neal Boortz.
It is exciting that Del and Leslie will be in your crowd, covering you with prayers, too. And I am sure some other Huckabee fans will be there to cheer you on.
I hope you can bring some more balance and down-home reality to the financial crisis we are facing in Washington, D.C. and Wall Street. Who was it said on FoxNews tonight that it is the Wall Street-Main Street connection? Reminded me of your comments about Main Street.
I must say I cried when I heard President Bush say this is a necessary take-over by the Federal Government. As Newt Gingrich said, It should be much less of the government and much more of letting the private sector work out their own battles. Any chance Newt will be on your show? Or Dave Ramsey?Or Neal Boortz? Just a few ideas! :-)

Between now and then I would like to see the two senators currently running for president do the right thing and issue the following joint statement.
After our meeting at the White House today we come before the American people to apologize for our negligence. This past year while we have been out campaigning and neglecting our jobs as US senators, we have unwittingly contributed to this financial disaster on Wall Street. Being men of honer we have both decided to withdraw from the campaign and will be replaced by the runners-up from the primaries.
Friday's debate between Gov. Huckabee and Gov Richardson will take place as scheduled.
(Clinton and Edwards were disqualified for obvious reasons)
Oh well - I can dream can't I? :)

Why can some of these company executives also be required to give their now free time to hurricane victums that just watch their homes crash into the market as the markets verge on crashing. Rats facing rats in service for their evil dealings. Would that not also save disaster relief monies? They should be asked to pay back the money gained and they should not be bailed out. Most Americans these days are working 3 & 4 jobs just to keep food on their tables and stay out of debt while being deceived by the big banks and insurance companies.
I thought our ancestors died to help us be free from big government. Now it's like we are selling our soul to other government. Have we forgotten where we came from? -

You are basically right with your assertions, but right now I don't think we can risk the economic collapse of the country to punish these dimwit executives who authorized all these bad loans. The Congress and Treasury secretary are trying to imbed assurances in this bailout that prevents the financial executives from enriching themselves further from the bailout itself.
I like your idea about them (irresponsible CEO's) repaying the losses to their respective companies! Can you be heard on Capitol Hill or bend the ear of a sympathetic congressman to voice your opinions, during these negotiations?
I already contributed to your Presidential campaign and can't afford to further support your team. May God richly bless all of you!

Regarding the financial crisis, there is a primary solution that is being overlooked in all of the prominent discussions. Maybe you can be the voice of true truth, Governor Huckabee.
The answer to our financial crisis is on every coin and bill: In God We Trust. America is doing everything except that, and now look where we are. We don't just need a financial bailout, we need a spiritual bailout. It's time for each one of us to get down on our national knees and ask for God's mercy and forgiveness and restoration.

The whole bailout issue is nothing but politics as usual in Washington. The mess was created by greed and will be fed by greed until it resolves itself. The democratic nominee is positioning himself as the candidate of change, but in reality he has 126,000 plus reason why he's just another part of the problem. Just look at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The biggest question that nobody is answering is what happens to the assets the govement buys from these "failing" financial institutions? Will they be sold the credit collection groups who use preditary collection practices, like the RTC did in the ealy 1990's, to hound honest citizens for the next 20 years collecting debts that they purchased for pennies on the dollar? The answer is "yes". Washington is not looking out for the average citizen; this bailout is nothing more than one more attemp to make the rich richer. It's time for the average citzen to step up and say "no more". Unfortunately, the presidental election is turing into something that will result in just more of the same. Lies after lies and promises that can't be kept. It's time for a change, but not the kind we're hearing out there now. I hope Mike Huckabee is still around 4 years from now and steps up and makes his voice heard more so than he did this time around.

I am certainly looking forward to your show Gov. Huckabee! It will be a refreshing change from the noise of this election cycle. The same way your presence was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise ugly and disappointing primary process is the same way your show will be a fresh spring in the midst of a bunch of sewers. I again want to thank you for your role in my awareness of this year's election. You have given me a real life reason to believe that there is the occasional politician worth paying attention to and even voting for!
I wanted to say to you that I am very, very proud of the way you conducted yourself in a year that was unfriendly to those who ran opposite of the main stream in America. This year the height of hypocrisy was exposed as the mainstream media ignored the honest and fair reporting that it deceitfully claims and instead took on the appearance of a tabloid magazine. They have become more interested in personalities than actual people. You personally understand this because you took the brunt of this assault for the reason that you had the audacity to remind them that America's voice did not belong to them alone and that America's money did not belong to them alone and that America's future was not theirs alone and that the American dream was not thiers alone.
Because you are atypical sir you endured one of the worst cases of media bias in American politics that I have ever seen. Your attempt to return the voice heard in America to all people and not just people they deemed important enough to speak was met with hostility in the elite corners of the media and your very own party. You were treated unfairly because your message was different. The surest way you can tell that Sen. Obama is a counterfeit agent of change is by the way the media accepts him as their favorite son. Despite any "reports" to the contrary, the media and the elites HATE change, they always have. Why change anything when they have everything? You were rejected because you refused to accept the status quo and they slandered you because you refused to compromise to the platform they thought you should have.
For that you lost the nomination but gained my respect. It was always about principle to you, that is why you are a great role model and a great man. Thank you for taking on the big shots and the seats of power. Thank you for representing my voice and the voices of thousands and thousands of others who they think don't matter. I hope it will be remoted in "middle America". I have always thought even the conservatives on these shows, after living in New York and Washington, completely lose their connection with the vast majority of Americans and begin to be molded by the "group think" in those locations.
