Shalom From Israel!

I arrived in Israel at 8am on Monday morning after an all night flight from New York.  I’d spoken at the Christian Coalition in Orlando, FL on Saturday night and earlier that day, participated in the “Call,” a gathering of 50,000 believers on the Capitol Mall in Washington, D. C.  It’s been a busy weekend, mostly on airlines and getting through airports.

It’s my 10th time to Israel.  I never grow tired of coming here.  I’ve been visiting Jewish families who have chosen to live here and raise their families here as well as meeting with some of the leading government officials.  I got here only to find out that the New York Post has a story saying that I said it’s safer to be in Israel than American cities.  Sometimes, it gets very frustrating to deal with the press.  I don’t think they always try to get things wrong, but boy, do they!

I didn’t say I felt safer in Israel than the USA, but that I don’t feel afraid in Israel, and that in SOME AMERICAN cities, I don’t always feel safe.  I pointed out that every city has dangers and risks and I don’t think of Israel as any more dangerous than most American cities.  Now, that paper makes it sound like I’m saying America is not safe.

Last week, there were reports that portrayed me as saying that conservative voters would be okay with Mitt Romney on the ticket with John McCain.  I didn’t say that.  I specifically said these things:

1.  That I committed to support the ticket and would do so.

2. That many conservatives would have a problem with Romney and that it had NOTHING to do with his faith, but his inconsistent views.  I said that I personally would still vote for McCain if he picked Romney, but thought there were many who wouldn’t, including many people who supported me.  I further said I hoped he didn’t pick someone to be his VP who wasn’t. pro-life.

3. I didn’t bring these issues up, but tried to respond honestly to questions.

HuckPAC Team, don’t believe everything you read.  (Except the good stuff!)

Gotta go for now---keep speaking out on the forums and watch for me on Hannity and Colmes on Wednesday night and Fox and Friends on Thursday morning.

Have a great day!

I wish other families would do as our family has done - get rid of television! It may seem pretty drastic, but it has been wonderful. We still watch movies and old television series that we carefully select and purchase on DVD so we do not feel we are missing out on entertainment. We get all of our news from on-line sources that are far better, and less biased, than the television media. In fact, I think I know a whole lot more about what is going on in the world than most of my friends who watch TV. (And I don't have to hear all the twisted and untrue comments about Governor Huckabee.)

I'd like to challenge everyone to get rid of their TV. Believe me, after being away from it for a while and then seeing it again, you'll be shocked! You don't realize until it's gone how really bad it is. And what a message it would send to the media and to the liberals if everyone started ditching their TVs!

    ACTION ALERT!!

McCain made a comment at the Saddleback forum that a person with 5 million is “rich.” This will continue to haunt him. Obama and the media are already having a field day with his comment. If McCain allows the “elites” in Washington to pick Romney (can’t imagine McCain would want him) it will surely end in disaster for the Republican’s. People in America want someone,"like the guy they work with, not the guy who laid them off.”(MH) Romney’s ruthless and unscrupulous business practices and nasty campaign should be a big enough deterrent to the “elites” not to try to force Romney on the base of the party. (US)

If McCain cannot see that Huckabee represents what is great about America a true inspiration of what a person can become if they work hard and “do the right thing” then he is blinded by his own prejudices.
Let’s light up those phone lines, email McCain.

I read an article last night that said some democrats are asking the Democrat party to stop the attack ads on Romney until after he is picked VP it also said then "after he is picked his record is fair game". So its pretty clear what's going on!

Here is a run down as to what I think!
No one on the Republican Side run any attack ads on Romney's record and the news media never reported it even though you know they know because that's what they do, dig stuff up, Unless someone has a computer and looks it up then most voters still do not know this stuff, it was not until way after Romney Dropped out that I seen proof. This stuff started coming out and the media got the attention off it by calling us Bigots and it worked now everyone thinks the reason we don't want Romney is, well you know. (Don't want give them any thing they can copy or distort.)
Next Obama is getting somewhere around 75 to 85% more media coverage then McCain, this shows me that they favor Obama over McCain so by them picking on Mike Huckabee it tells me they know that a McCain/Huckabee ticket will run over Obama But by them promoting Romney and keeping his record in the dark tells me they plan on using it for there grand finally and giving their pick Obama Victory!!!

Thing about it is the Democrats have jumped the gun and now being told to be quit until he is picked !
Did anyone else see that article, I can't find it now?

Here is the email I just sent to Sen. Lindsay Graham.

    http://tinyurl.com/6ezecm

It is very important that Mike Huckabee be our next Vice President. It is inhumane the way the media had shut Huckabee out.

The American people love Huckabee's candor, faith, his awesome and excellent public speaking skills, and his outside-the-beltway thinking.

If John McCain thinks conservative Christians will go along with his supposed pro-life viewpoint and believe McCain will appoint conservative supreme court justices and then vote for McCain if he chooses Romney or Ridge for V.P., he will find out too late that is just not so.

Jindal and Pawlenty might be OK, except that Jindal is inexperienced and Pawlenty is another lawyer with a wife who is a judge. That would be seen as a colossal conflict of interest in the separation of powers.

Only Huckabee has 12 years of executive experience running a government and was re-elected in the democratic state of Arkansas.

Huckabee has been McCain's staunchest supporter, and is the reason that McCain is doing so well in the polls.

McCain is using all of Huckabee's talking points, and would not be doing nearly as well, if not for Huckabee.

Please give Huckabee the honor he has earned and deserves by encouraging McCain to choose Huckabee as the Vice President.

If not, many Christian conservatives will see McCain's professed Christianity as a lot of hot Arizona air and will simply elect not to vote for president at all, giving the election to Obama by default.

The pro-life issue is simply too imporrtant, and the GOP is not a big enough tent to re-write our conservative platform.

    We trust Huckabee!

    McCain/Huckabee '08!

Ok. I just wanted to say that for the first time I saw governor Huckabee's name in "the" list of potential VP choices. Here you go: "Also mixed in the list of names is former Arkansas Gov Mike Huckabee. He said Tuesday he hasn’t been approached by McCain but he wouldn’t reject the offer." Personally, if it isn't Governor Huckabee that gets the spot, then I hope it's Tim Pawlenty. Either one would be fine. I just like seeing that Governor Huckabee is at least being strongly considered:)

Well, I tried once again to watch ABC evening news last night. I had to switch in the middle once again after the extreme bias they showed against McCain. 1st they allowed Hussein to give his speech, then they added their comment. They then showed George W. arm-in-arm with Mccain and then a handshake. Then about 2 seconds of McCain speaking and finally another speech by Hussein. Very disgusting, huh? NRA Joe. By-the-way, he will take your guns away!

Date and Location: McCain’s announcement for V.P. selection.

The date of August 29, 2008 is not a necessarily a telling date but the location in Ohio is a telling place. Ohio voters indicated a very strong preference for Mike Huckabee in the primaries. If the location for the announcement had been in Michigan or Pennsylvania, then the choice may have been Rommey or Ridge. Reading the “tea leaves” leads me to believe the choice of Ohio sends a very strong message that Mike will be the candidate on the Republican ticket.

    Angela Gibson,
Excellent post! I am in agreement with you that our most valuable tool is prayer. I will remind myself to be praying at 8:00 pm central time. One minute is not a sacrifice but a MUST in addition to our other prayer times.

Courtney, I think you and I have about the same batting average trying to get our comments posted on "Sean's Network". My very first comment was made Sunday at noon and still not posted. I also put in about 3 more yesterday in late afternoon ... none showed as of yet. I sent Sean an email asking him (good luck, huh?) if there was something he could do about it and that maybe I should tell Huckabee since he works there. ha!

Well, when all else fails, try God. No that's wrong ..... God first.

Huckapedia, lots of good ideas coming from you! I may sit this one out .... but I know that there are many on here with some good answers.

when we post things about mike on vice presidential forums and such, we must be objective about it. we cannot go around saying if mike isnt elected we wont vote. this only alienates other voters and supporters and creates an "Us vs Them" attitude. instead try something like what i posted at aol and fox yesterday. I said, Mccain really needs to choose a strong southern conservative as his running mate. the south is a key region for mccain. if he doesn't do well there, the rest of the electorate doesn't favor mccain at all. Obama probably knows this and is most likely vetting a southern democrat. Obama may be making a mistake if he neglects the south and makes the election a near coin flip between just 4 or 5 states. mccain or obama cannot neglect key southern states like Missouri, south carolina, and georgia. If Mccain picks a guy like Mike Huckabee, he would have a much better chance of picking up the key southern region for the republicans. in fact mccain could focus on other key states like ohio and michigan, nevada, and colorado while Mike helps Mccain in the south. Obama could go with Sam Nunn (senator from georgia). If he does choose Nunn at the democratic convention, then Mccain will almost have to choose a strong southern conservative. All in all, the southern strategy for both canididates is probably the best way to go.

I received this in my inbox and wanted to share it.

    ONE MINUTE EACH NIGHT...
Although this is the scariest election we American Christians have faced, and from the looks of the polls, Americans aren't voting Christian values. We all need to be on our knees. Do you believe we can take God at
His Word? Call upon His Name, then watch His wonders to behold. God can heal our land. We ask you to pray.

We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land. 2
Chronicles 7:14 'If My people, which are called by My Name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.'

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of
people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for 1 minute to pray collectively for the safety of England, its people and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped.

There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. The United States of America and our citizens need prayer more than ever! If you would like to participate: each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific, 5:00 PM Alaska, 4:00
PM Hawaii), stop whatever you are doing and spend 1 minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, the upcoming election, that the Bible will remain the basis for the
laws governing our land and that Christianity will grow throughout the world.

If you know anyone who might like to participate, please pass this along.
If Christians really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have been given. Thank You.

Please pass this on to anyone who you think will want to join us. May God bless you! Don't ask God for an easier life; ask to be a stronger person.

Who would have thought Hannity would go out on a limb like that? Truly shocking! (Sarcasm inteded). :-)

I also posted on the story about Tom Ridge saying the GOP would accept a pro-abortion VP (not this GOP voter). I posted it 2 days ago and just checked and they have yet to post my comment, but have approved other comments since I made mine.

Mike Huckabee, can you please do something about this? They are refusing to post comments from your supporters. During the primaries I would go back days after I posted comments and they still wouldnn't be there. This shouldn't surprise me after the way they treated you during the primaries and still refuse to mention you as a possible VP, but they are silencing your supporter's voices!!
Please talk to someone or maybe write a blog drawing attention to this blantant bias!!!

McCain, Obama Camps Schedule VP Announcements

John McCain plans to announce his vice presidential pick on Aug. 29, his birthday, in Dayton, Ohio, FOX News has learned from multiple sources.

This date was set and planning began weeks ago, and while it remains subject to change, it is scheduled to come the day after the Democratic National Convention ends and two days before the start of the Republican National Convention.

The date and events surrounding the announcement remain subject to change. McCain has been known to change his mind at the last minute on such decisions.

As it stands now, the Hamilton County (Ohio) Republican Party chairman reportedly said Monday that McCain will hold a 10,000-strong rally in Dayton the day after Obama accepts his party’s nomination in Denver.

Sources have said for weeks the 29th is the most logical date given the calendar. Those same sources have long said Ohio is a must-win state for McCain and the Buckeye State would be among the first states the newly announced GOP ticket would visit.

    ....

McCain’s top contenders are said to include Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. Less traditional choices include former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, an abortion-rights supporter, and Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Democratic vice presidential pick in 2000 who now is an independent.

FOX News’ Carl Cameron and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Wow!! Thanks for the website that clearly shows Romney to be the opportunist that he is, with no core values. You have far greater faith in Sean Hannity than I do, who gets his talking points directly from the likes of Romney.

Social conservatives need to wake up and finally realize that the GOP is run by economic neocons who occasionally pander to social conservatives for their votes to win elections. Sean and Rush are neocon henchmen who couldn't care less about the Mike Huckabees in the GOP. It's time to stop being duped.

You are a man of great strength, discipline and perserverence: an inspiration to all of us. You have raised the bar for all of your peers and are a leader that our representatives need.

I think TOGETHER WE STAND might have it right. I had not considered the perspective that the media wants Romney so bad because if he gets the VP spot it is a sure win for the Democrats. It makes sense to me. I thought maybe the pundits and much of the media were afraid that if the talents and vision of Mike Huckabee were promoted and he did get the P or VP spot, that the swing voters and independants would sway towards Barack-- with the assumption that they would most likely tend toward his views on life and political stance. I would love to see a poll question aimed at this demographic of voters.

I have saved several posts from the old Huckabee for President site. I felt led to re-post this here tonight.

The original poster did not have a screen name nor did he/she sign a name.

The following was posted on 3/5/06 at 06:38 p.m.
    on MikeHuckabee.com

    It reads as follows:

    Gov. Hucakbee and Janet,
Grace and peace to you through our Lord Jesus Christ.
I was talking with the Lord this morning and he told me to remind you that you said, "I didn't major in math. I majored in miracles". Was the miracle that everyone thought that you would somehow catch-up? What is the miracle that we are all looking for?

Remember that God's ways are higher than ours, and he always has our best interest at heart. I am not saying that I know what the miracle is, but I don't doubt for one minute that this is over. I heard him say to me today STAND BACK AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD. I think you may be in a hold pattern right now.

Gov. Huckabee the Lord also said to remind you that you did not get voted in the top executive position the first time either, but you still became Governor!

My journey with you started after Hurricane Katrina devestated the Gulf Coast. Had no clue who you were. I was watching the 700 club when Pat Robertson interviewed you on the phone. I had never ever heard your name before, but when you started talking I started a conversation with the Lord. As I started this conversation it went something like this.

As you began to speak I said Lord this man sounds like a Christian, and a preacher. If he is pro-life and ever ran for president I would vote for him. He didn't tell me that you were a Christian, or a preacher, but the only thing that he told to me was that you would be president.

You see God placed that in my heart over 2 years ago, and it hasn't left. Keep believing for the miracles regardless of what it looks like.

The Lord told yesterday me to start laughing like he does according to Ps 2:4 and it then in Ps. 37:13. He told me to go back and read the passage and encounter that God had with Abraham about Sarah. God spoke to Abraham and told him that this time next year she would be with child. You know how Abraham questioned God and the deadness of Sarah's womb, and how he was too old!

What was the Lord's reply to Abrahams's questions? Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord? What does Issac's name mean, but laughter!

I echo many of the precious words to you Gov. Huckabee and Janet. I don't know about others, but I know that long before you ever decided to run for president God put us supernaturally together, and its something that whether we ever meet face to face we will see this come to pass.

Be encouraged and filled with joy of the Lord for that is your strength for the next round is coming.

I will continue to pray and intercede for you and your family. God wants righteous leaders. You and your family are truly an inspiration to us all. Your plans, ideas, principles and values resonate to so many people. So stand back and let God do what no man can do.

I agree John. We owe Mitt a debt of gratitude for vetting Mike out already. Mike's chance will come in 2012 when the nation has soured on Obama or McCain doesn't run for a second term because of his age. (I would much rather the latter.) Mitt hasn't had his vetting yet. It's a strange thing, but that old saying"what goes around comes around" is true.

    Kathy Coffee,

I am so glad you posted that You Tube link a second time. Oh my goodness!!! There is no way Romney is going to be chosen for VP. This alone assures me he will be disqualified. This also gives creedence to Gov. Huckabee's statements as of late about the reason he thinks Gov. Romney would be a poor choice for VP. His flip flops are louder than even John Kerry's.

Also, I saw a Republican strategist on TV a couple of weeks ago. He said he desperately hoped Sen. McCain did not choose Gov Romney because the health care plan in MA is in the RED and the people there are very unhappy about the way the program is going.

Romney is out folks. I am convinced of that. Ridge and Lieberman are out. McCain is going to choose someone Pro-Life.

I believe it is going to be Gov. Huckabee!!! Itruly do!!!

I just learned on Fox News, that Sen. McCain is going to announce his running mate on August 29 in Dayton, Ohio! We all need to have alot of coffee breaks because we'll be too busy posting comments when that happens. Maybe we'll have some positive and exciting comments to make. I hope so.

McCain can announce his VP pick on Aug. 29 in Dayton, OH all he wants, but if it's Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, Bobby Jindal, or Tom Ridge, he will NOT get my vote on Nov. 4.

The ONLY way John McCain will get my vote is if MIKE HUCKABEE is the Vice President.

I don't believe one word of what McCain said at Saddleback Church to Pastor Rick Warren.

McCain is a trickster who has been in Washington D.C. long enough to know what to say to evangelicals to get their vote.

The only thing McCain has going for him is that Obama is inexperienced.

Tomorrow on Fox News at 8 pm they will air a program on John McCain's past and the Keatign 5 scandal and probably about the Vicki Iseman sexual scandal. They will broadcast John McCain's past voting record.

McCain can say he would appoint conservative Supreme Court justices, but he has a history of siding with the Democrats on issues that conservatives loathe.

I have a feeling McCain is going to pick some slick lawyer as a V.P. and if it is Pawlenty, Tim's wife is a Judge. That would be a collosal conflict of interest and hurt the separation of powers.

At this point, no mattter what McCain does, everyone knows he is for the NAFTA Superhighway and sending all our manufacturing jobs overseas.

I have a very bad feeling about John McCain. McCain is a scandal waiting to happen.

Hey Mike, someone is stealing your ideas and quotes.

When asked the question "What is America's greatest moral failure" by Rick Warren, McCain referred to Sept. 11 and said that we shouldn't have gone shopping or on trips but we should have rolled up our sleaves and joined the Peace Corps" Hmmmm sound familiar? It should. This is Mike's response in Sojouner's Mag that came out last week.

    Quote:
With all due respect to the president, one of the biggest mistakes made right after Sept. 11—when most Americans were ready to do anything asked of them to say, “We don’t ever want to see this happen again”—the instructions we essentially got were: Go shopping, go back to ballgames, get back to business as usual; and by golly we did! Instead of saying, “Okay, we’ve been attacked. By golly, it’s time for us to show the world what America’s about. Let’s roll up our sleeves and truly put forth a spirit of sacrifice and service that’s never been witnessed in the history of mankind before.” That would have been a remarkable moment in our history, and we could have done it, but instead we went to the mall. Dear God! What a missed opportunity! -MH

Mikes, people like your ideas too much and you offer good advise. Keep it up. Try to get some sleep on the way back from Israel if you can.

It absolutely amazes me how Mike has the grace and confidence to overlook these types of offenses from the media. He must pray for grace A LOT. I would love for him to be our Commander in Chief someday. But in the meantime hopefully McCain picks him for the VP slot.

Rush Limbaugh thinks he started "Operation Chaos" trying to mess with the Democrats in the primary. However, what he doesn't realize is that the Democrats and the media have been playing him, Hannity, Levin and many of Republicans all along. First by elevating McCain and Romney in the primaries, then lying about Mike's record and campaign and now by excluding and minimizing Mike in almost all VP speculation.

Well, the voices of the people are being heard and the proof is in the pudding from various polls including Zogby and Rassmussen that Huckabee would be the best match for McCain, and the most helpful. We won't be silenced no matter how hard they try!!! Keep up the good work all Mike Huckabee supporters!

Well, it looks like Obama was finally cornered in admitting the truth about his vote for infanticide. Here is the article by FRC in an action update. Sorry, I could not get a link to it since it came via my email.

    "A Tale of Two Candidates"

"On the same night Americans cheered Olympian Michael Phelps onto his record eighth gold medal, voters turned their attention to another race, this one for President. With Sens. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) locked in a statistical dead heat, the stakes of the Saddleback Civil Forum with Rev. Rick Warren could not have been higher. Warren, who was urged to ask some weighty values questions, did not disappoint and drew some stark contrasts between the candidates on key issues. When asked about abortion, Obama said, "I am pro-choice. I believe in Roe v. Wade..." During McCain's turn, the Arizona senator said plainly, "I am pro-life, and my administration will be a pro-life administration." To the question of marriage, Obama gave a textbook definition, "the union between a man and a woman." He stated that "as a Christian, it's a sacred union," but when pressed if he would "support a constitutional amendment with [his] definition," Obama replied, "No, I would not." He said, "I am not somebody who promotes same-sex marriage," despite his published letters to the contrary.

The sparks over Sen. Obama's abortion record didn't end when the Civil Forum did. At a post-event interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), reporter David Brody asked a question about Obama's position on the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA). For weeks, the senator's campaign has tried to cover his tracks on the issue, claiming that his vote against the bill was not a vote for infanticide. Instead, his spokespeople said, the Illinois senator stood alone in his opposition because Illinois's bill didn't mirror the federal law. The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) produced documents proving that the state language was identical to Congress's bill.

On Saturday, Obama accused pro-lifers of skewing his record. "They have not been telling the truth," Mr. Obama said. "AND I HATE TO SAY THAT PEOPLE ARE LYING, BUT HERE'S A SITUATION WHERE FOLKS ARE LYING." He added that it was "ridiculous" to suggest he had ever supported withholding lifesaving treatment for an infant. "...[F]or people to keep on pushing this is offensive," he said in the CBN interview. What's truly offensive, however, is that Obama deceived Americans about his record.

ON SUNDAY, HIS CAMPAIGN ISSUED A CLARIFICATION, STATING THAT OBAMA DID VOTE AGAINST A BORN-ALIVE BILL THAT WAS A VERBATIM VERSION OF THE FEDERAL LAW. Senator Obama must own up to his record as the only member of the state senate to vote in favor of letting abortion survivors die. Even the most radical, pro-abortion members of the U.S. Senate like Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), and Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) don't mirror his heartlessness. All three voted to protect innocent children through the Born-Alive Act. On voting in favor of infanticide, Sen. Barack Obama stands alone."

Shalom!! Im glad Huckabee is staying in the news. Staying Positive. There has been some talk about Huckabee supporters hoping he leaves the GOP and starts a third party?
I doubt there is any chance of this, but if they dont let Mike Huckabee speak in one of the top spots at the convention it will be a black eye to all of us who supported him, He has earned the honor to speak, and speak in a leadership way. I feel that Huckabee is the
social conservative voice of the party. Even though the party seems to be less and less concerned with our social conservative issues. I am not warming to McCain so much, sorry Huckabee., I just dont think I can vote for him if you are not on the ticket. I will, and would support Huckabee no matter which party he is in. Barrack Obama the Pharisee:
When the Pharisees asked Jesus by what authority He wielded His power, the question was turned back on them about where they thought His power and authority came from. They knew if they answered "of Heavenly origin," His response would be, "Then why do you not believe Me," and if they answered "of human origin," then the crowds would revolt. They said, "We don't know," so Jesus ignored them, because they were interested in entrapment, not knowledge.
Obama faced the same question with regards to the beginning of life, and consequently, the beginning of legal protection for that life: had he answered "conception," he'd be asked why he supported legalized abortion, and had he answered "birth," he'd alienate those religious voters he intends to court, so he said, "I don't know."

I am REALLY getting frustrated with Faux News!!!

Mike could you find out why they aren’t posting our comments?

I posted a comment this morning and there were 39 comments, there are still 39 comments.

I read through every single one and there are 16 positives for Huckabee, many only voting for McCain if he picks Mike Huckabee. Romney has 9 positives, if they would post mine and yours I’m sure it would be more than 2 to 1 in favor of Huckabee. I have just about had it with the media bias reporting and outright lies. They are messing with our democracy. The way the media is allowed to manipulate and dominate the discussion is really infuriating!!! They are trying to thwart Mike’s chances for VP, and I wouldn’t put it past Faux News to try to throw a monkey wrench in Mike’s chances since he spoke out honestly about Romney. They keep on saying they believe McCain’s best choice for VP is Romney. I would like to know how they figure!?? I have never seen them elaborate on why they believe this. I have never heard them mention that Mike would help McCain’s ticket according to the Rasmussen Poll; nor that he has won most of the VP Poll’s handily. Romney doesn’t help McCain; Romney hurts the ticket. Mike Huckabee is the only one that would help McCain gain a decent advantage over Obama. With all that Faux News has done to promote Romney they just don’t seem to get it. The majority of conservatives don’t want him, they won’t vote for him now and he will have no chance against Mike Huckabee in 4 years. If Faux News and the “conservative” talking heads really cared about America they would get behind Mike Huckabee as VP to help McCain defeat Obama. They need to realize Romney will never be President! No matter what they do! Now I ask you, WHO IS BLOCKING WHO?

Remember during Saturday's discussion with Rick Warren, McCain ridiculed Congress approving the spending of a few million dollars to study the DNA of bears. He got a big laugh when he said he didn't know whether it was for paternity or a crime. Well, it turns out that the big laugh is on us, because I just found out that McCain VOTED FOR THE BILL TO FUND DNA TESTING OF BEARS!! Once again, hypocrisy shows it's ugly face to the "straight talk express"! It's amazing to me that anyone would trust this alumnus of the "Keating 5".

    Thanks to Mitt Rommey.

The Huckabee supporters (as well as John McCain) owe a round of thanks to Mitt Rommey for vetting Mike Huckabee about 6 months ago. He along with the media, Fox News included, has dug up about all of what they call “dirt” on Mike. Soon, when Mike is nominated by John McCain, all of the media’s “dirt” guns will be empty and then what will they do? Go back and re-hash old information on Mike. This will be old news and the public will not be listening. Oh yes, they will talk about Wayne Drummond, the NRA meeting, about the dog, and about raising taxes in Arkansas, but the public will have had enough of this and will know what the media is attempting, more of the same old stuff.

Then Mike can talk about his meeting with Japan’s officials in recent months, the humanitarian trip to Africa in July, and his most recent trip to Israel and meeting with officials of the government of Israel. By the time the media checks these events out to see if any negatives can be found, the election will be over.

Yes, we as Huckabee supporters, owe Mitt a round of thanks for the vetting process and for his well-publicized stand on Pro-Choice, or was it Pro-Life, or possibly Pro-Choice, or maybe it was Pro-Life. Mitt reminds me of a fellow I knew that said at times he could hold up his finger and hid behind it.

In reference to Brian Snow's previous post, below is the website transcript and interview with David Brody of CBN. From reading this and watching the video, I don't see any evidence that Obama supports infanticide, as has been purported.

"The transcription is below. Clearly, the conversation over this bill has gotten Obama riled up. He truly believes The National Life to Right Committee is lying about this controversial infanticide bill which he opposed. He is adamant in saying that the bill he opposed in the Illinois State Senate was NOT the same as the federal legislation that pro-choice Senators even voted for. The National Right to Life Committee is pointing to a document that shows how Obama voted against a bill that had the federal language in it so they say Obama is misleading people because of past conflicting stories. The Obama campaign says the Illinois bill had added language that would have watered down Roe. The whole thing can get a little confusing. In future posts we will lay out the arguments on both sides. For now, research it yourself. Just remember, everything you read on the Internet isn’t always true!

Watch the video above and the transcription below.

Brody: Real quick, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. I gotta tell you that's the one thing I get a lot of emails about and it's just not just from Evangelicals, it about Catholics, Protestants, main -- they're trying to understand it because there was some literature put out by the National Right to Life Committee. And they're basically saying they felt like you misrepresented your position on that bill.

Obama: Let me clarify this right now.

Brody: Because it's getting a lot of play.

Obama: Well and because they have not been telling the truth. And I hate to say that people are lying, but here's a situation where folks are lying. I have said repeatedly that I would have been completely in, fully in support of the federal bill that everybody supported - which was to say --that you should provide assistance to any infant that was born - even if it was as a consequence of an induced abortion. That was not the bill that was presented at the state level. What that bill also was doing was trying to undermine Roe vs. Wade. By the way, we also had a bill, a law already in place in Illinois that insured life saving treatment was given to infants.

So for people to suggest that I and the Illinois medical society, so Illinois doctors were somehow in favor of withholding life saving support from an infant born alive is ridiculous. It defies commonsense and it defies imagination and for people to keep on pushing this is offensive and it's an example of the kind of politics that we have to get beyond. It's one thing for people to disagree with me about the issue of choice, it's another thing for people to out and out misrepresent my positions repeatedly, even after they know that they're wrong. And that's what's been happening.

Brody: I wanted to give you a chance to clear it up.

    Obama: I appreciate it.

    Brody: Thank you so much."

    TOGETHER -

I have a slightly different take on why the media is so harsh with Mike H. I believe the commonality between the right wing media stars e.g. Rush and Sean, and the left wing media is that they are all corporate driven, FIRST! I believe both feel threatened by evangelicals who do not worship the "Almighty $$$$"!

Prayers for safe journeys, wherever they lead! You are my choice for VP Gov. Huckabee. This great country of ours is at a crossroads, a defining moment of ideas that will shape the future of this country and our lives in the years to come. You are the great "articulator" Gov. Huckabee. Reagan was the great "communicator", whom you are much like, and whom we much need at this time in history. You have empathy for the people and can connect with them, offering a voice to their concerns. You and Sen. McCain would be a great tag team of ideas. I hope he sees this. Many of us would love to be able to work for this ticket. There is an impassioned following to be called upon.

Anybody find it odd that Huckabee is the only one the media has it out for? You know the media has already dug up that stuff on Romney but yet they keep it quiet and try promoting him, I believe they would like to see Romney as the VP pick so they could have a field day with him and give the keys to the White House to Obama. Think about it, Why they picking on Huckabee?
