CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO Today, Jason Smith, the Republican nominee in the June
4th Special Election in Missouri¹s Eight Congressional District, announced
his campaign has been endorsed by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee.
Governor Huckabee praised Smith¹s record in Jefferson City and support of
traditional values:
³Jason Smith is a committed conservative who will put Missouri first. In the
Missouri General Assembly Jason has a proven record of fighting burdensome
regulations and working to preserve a rural way of life. On a more personal
note, Jason is a person of great faith. He shares my traditional values and
he is unapologetically Pro-Life. Conservatives must work together to ensure
Jason Smith is successful on June 4th.
Smith said he is honored to have Governor Huckabee¹s endorsement in the June
4th Special Election:
³Governor Huckabee is a strong national voice for traditional values and
limited government. Since his time as Arkansas¹s Governor, Mike Huckabee has
shown an ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His
plain-spoken conservative message is widely respected in Missouri¹s Eighth
District and I am honored to have his support in the June 4th Special
Election.

the June 4th Special Election in the Eighth Congressional District. Smith

Friends – President Obama tried to show some leadership yesterday when he asked for the resignation of the head of the IRS. I say it is too late.
Did you know the IRS also harassed Billy Graham’s organization? How about the pro-Israel group? You see it wasn’t just the Tea Party groups that drew unwarranted attention, it was a host of groups with agendas contrary to the big government loving, Obama can do no wrong crowd that infests Washington these days.
Enough is enough. I don’t want the IRS Chief fired, I want the IRS abolished. I don’t want big government bureaucrats making decisions for me, I want to make decisions for them because we the people are the boss.
We need to clean house next November. And when we elect a Republican Senate Majority and a Republican House we need to hold Obama and his administration accountable for Obamacare, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the IRS and every other bad leadership decision he has made. The buck stops with Obama and it’s time the People remedy all of the wrongs he has done.
If you agree, I hope you will donate $3 or more immediately to Huck PAC. We will help put in place a Republican Senate Majority and keep the House in Republican hands. And we will work with candidates across the country to challenge the Democrats who are blindly standing with Obama.
Stopping this guy’s radical agenda and holding his incompetent government accountable needs to be priority number one. It is for me, so I hope you will join me with a donation today.
Sincerely,
Mike Huckabee

Pierre, SD – Governor Mike Huckabee, former Governor of Arkansas, 2008 republican presidential candidate, a NY Times best-selling author, and current host of “The Huckabee Show” on the Fox News Channel, today endorsed Mike Rounds for U.S. Senate.
Governor Huckabee is committed to helping Republicans regain control of the U.S. Senate and support conservative principles around the country. Huckabee is a leading voice in the nation advocating the great common sense and conservative solutions America needs most. Governor Huckabee only supports Republican candidates who are passionate advocates of tax reform, a strong national defense, real border security, life, the family, less government, and Israel.
“My long time friend, Mike Rounds, is exactly what we need in the United States Senate,” said Governor Huckabee, “His experience as governor of the great state of South Dakota, dedication to tackling the federal debt, strengthening and honoring our military, border security, as well as his strong support of faith, family, life and freedom – makes my endorsement a great pleasure. We live in crucial days for our nation. America needs men with the rock solid values and problem-solving common sense of Mike Rounds. I’m proud to call him a friend. I ask my friends in South Dakota and around the nation to rally behind Mike.”
“I am deeply honored by Governor Huckabee’s endorsement. We served together as governors and established a deep friendship and common bond,” stated Mike Rounds, “The principles he represents are very much in line with mine, and I believe, the vast majority of South Dakotans. I’m very grateful and plan to work extremely hard to earn the same endorsement from my fellow South Dakotans.” -
A very special thanks to the 2,537 people who made donations to Huck PAC in April. Our goal was 800 supporters and we smashed that goal with an absolutely amazing response yesterday to my appeal for support. An incredible 1700 of you contributed in the last 24 hours! The dollars you invested will help Huck PAC fight back against Nancy Pelosi's attempts to regain the Majority in the House and help us make certain Obama's radical agenda hits a Republican Majority roadblock instead! So thank you!

A personal farewell to Great Britain’s Iron Lady, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She stands beside Ronald Reagan, not just as two towering figures of the 20th century, but as political soul-mates. In those pre-politically correct times, Reagan called her “the best man in England." They deflected vicious attacks by both enemies and alleged allies, fought for conservative policies that revived their nations’ broken economies, and together helped bring about the end of the Cold War. A few years ago, it was my distinct honor to have dinner with Lady Thatcher and to introduce her at a speech she gave at Harding University in Searcy, AR. It remains one of the great honors of my life and the photos with her are cherished treasures. -
Rick Warren's 27 year old son died last night. Rick has been a friend of
mine since we were in seminary. God has used Rick to touch the world.
Now we need to join together and ask the world to touch him with our
prayers and love. -

A new poll claims that a once-controversial issue has been embraced by the public …and no, it’s not gay marriage...The left often accuses conservatives of being anti-immigrant when they oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants. But the issue on the right is respect for the law. Conservatives believe it isn’t right or fair that people who broke the law to enter the US should get citizenship, while those who followed the rules are still waiting. But that belief appears to be fading. A new Public Religion Research Institute poll found that 63 percent of Americans support a path to citizenship, under certain conditions. That includes 71 percent of Democrats, and now, 53 percent of Republicans…even Rand Paul. Harry Reid is trying to fast-track a bill in the Senate. Of course, Democrats are drooling at the idea of adding 11 million new Democratic voters. Republicans just have to hope that once they’re legal, and all those deductions start coming out of their paychecks, they’ll be like so many other immigrants before them and turn Republican.
Help Huck PAC educate all voters about what it means to be a Republican and what happens when the Democrats run things. Donate here and help us stop the Democrats:

Is it too much to ask that before politicians pass a law, that they at least know what they’re regulating?... New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was proud that while other states were debating gun control in the wake of the Sandy Hook School shootings, he rushed strict new gun laws through the legislature before anyone even had time to think about it. Now that’s coming back to bite him. One law limits ammo clips to just seven bullets. But there’s a problem: it turns out there’s no such thing as a seven-round ammo clip. So in effect, no gun owner in New York can legally load his firearm. Luckily, Cuomo has a solution: New Yorkers can use standard 10-round ammo clips. They’re just not allowed to put more than 7 bullets at a time into them. If they’re caught with 8 bullets in their 10-round clips, they could face fines and jail time. So law-abiding gun owners will be punished for not observing a badly-written and pointless law, while we just pray that would-be mass murderers will observe the honor system and load only 7 rounds. Why am I reminded of that movie where someone hires the Three Stooges to fix their plumbing?

Whenever Republicans try to cut funding to Planned Parenthood, it always raises howls of outrage from the left that they’re waging a war on women’s health services. Nobody ever wants to talk about what Planned Parenthood actually does with our tax money. But with the new year, the required annual reports have been filed, and the Susan B. Anthony List analyzed the numbers. If you think Planned Parenthood is just a benign source of health care for women, the numbers may shock you. In fact, their clinics don’t even perform mammograms; they send women somewhere else for those. Increasingly, Planned Parenthood is becoming the one-stop-shop for abortions. According to the latest numbers, the organization got a record $542 million in taxpayer funds last year. That’s 45 percent of its annual revenue. Yet since 2009, Planned Parenthood’s contraceptive services have dropped by 12 percent, and its cancer screening and prevention services have dropped by 29 percent. But one aspect of their business is booming. In fiscal 2011, they performed a record 333,964 abortions. In the three years from 2009 to 2011, they performed a total of 995,687 abortions.
Granted, you may have no problem with that. It’s your right to think that way. But could we at least stop insulting the intelligence of pro-life Americans by claiming that giving their tax money to Planned Parenthood does nothing but provide women with health services? For nearly one million unborn children just since 2009, what Planned Parenthood supplied was death services.

40 years ago today, the Supreme Court, in Roe v. Wade, legalized abortion. But instead of settling a divisive issue, they just poured gasoline on the flames. Roe v. Wade originally limited abortion to fetuses that couldn’t survive outside the womb. But today, it’s been expanded into barbaric arguments that a child born during a botched abortion shouldn’t even be allowed medical care. Jane Roe herself, Norma McCorvey, eventually realized with horror what she’d done and became a pro-life activist. But feminist attorney Sarah Weddington, who won the case, says the case saved women from illegal abortions and she has no regrets. It’s her right to think that. But someday, we’ll all have to stand before the highest court of all. It might be harder to convince that judge that aborting nearly 55 million children over the past forty years was a positive achievement.

Veterans Day is our opportunity to come together as a nation to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of those who have fought for the freedoms we enjoy today in the United States of America. There is no more noble word than “Veteran.” When we hear that word, our thoughts immediately go to the millions of men and women who have served our nation so honorably. Over the years, we’ve built monuments across our country as a symbol to honor their courage and sacrifice, but I suspect that the simple words “thank you for your service” is honor enough for most.
On this Veterans Day, I will also pause to pray for the families of our men and women who are serving so far away from home, as they too make great sacrifices for our country.
So, as we salute our nation’s heroes, we offer them our undying gratitude. Though we can never repay the debt we owe them, today, we can resolve to live free and make this country the hope of the world.

Like you, I am disappointed in the results of Tuesday's election. But we fought hard for the issues we believe so strongly in. That fight is one that will continue. I intend to be an active participant in fighting for the values that conservatives value - the sanctity of life, traditional marriage, the Second Amendment, limited government, reduced spending, and all of our core principles.
Huck PAC and I will continue to fight the good fight. We will be a voice for conservative values. Don't let anyone tell you that conservative social values don't matter anymore. They do matter. They continue to be the bed rock of our society. And they are worth fighting for.
Stay involved, keep the faith, and continue to fight the good fight!

While the Presidential race was disappointing, there is much to celebrate for those of us who fought the one party politics that dominated Arkansas for a century and a half. To win all the Congressional seats, and to for the first time to have a majority in the Senate and House is a wonderful day in the Natural State. I didn't think I'd live to see it. A long way from the days when some of us had doors nailed shut, were put in the back of the parade, and asked to leave churches before a service because we were Republicans. I look forward to the great reforms these conservatives will bring to Arkansas and no one will be cheering louder from the sidelines than me.
