Matthew Shepherd For AR State Rep

I am pleased to endorse Matthew Shepherd for the Arkansas House of Representatives in District 6. Matt made the decision to enter the District 6 race because he believes the people deserve strong representation and decisive leadership in the Arkansas legislature.

Matthew Shepherd will concentrate on giving the people of District 6 a voice in Little Rock and will work hard to ensure Union County and El Dorado remain an economic leader and a great place to live. Matt understands the heavy responsibility involved in public service and is up to the task of effectively representing the people of his District.

Matt recognizes that jobs and economic development are critical immediate concerns. He also will emphasize creating greater efficiency in state government, upgrading infrastructure particularly the state’s highway system and improving the quality of public education.

I know that Matthew Shepherd will be a great state representative and urge each of you to support his campaign.

    Hey Gov.,

    Give us an idea of a potential candidate for Congressman Mike Ross' seat. While Mr Ross voted the way I wanted on some important legislation, I cannot convince myself he will hold out when it really means something. I've only heard of one young man interested in that seat and I'm not sure he has what it takes. Is there anyone out there we can get behind?
