Mike Huckabee and John Kasich in Columbus, Ohio
by Mike Fracassa - Ohio Coordinator
I had the opportunity to see Mike Huckabee and John Kasich together at Ohio State’s campus in Columbus Ohio this past Tuesday in a live webcast event that featured Mike Huckabee and John Kasich talking about new ideas to move the state of Ohio forward by creating a great business environment and a family environment so that today’s young people will want to make Ohio a place they want to live and work .
After hearing John Kasich I could definitely understand why Mike Huckabee has endorsed Kasich for Governor of Ohio. John Kasich truly believes in vertical politics. He is not worried so much about left vs. right, but what he is focusing on is what will be the ideas that lift everyone in Ohio up. He will be a great governor for our state when he is elected..with your help.
And of course Mike Huckabee shined again with his humor, but also his wisdom. He offered solutions to get government out of the way and give people the opportunity to thrive as he drew from his successful experiences as the Governor of Arkansas. A state that he helped bring prosperity to, even when working with a legislature that had more than 80% Democrats.
After this event I couldn’t help but think how much better shape this country would be in if Mike was president right now. Instead of the bailing out business that made poor decisions he would have put the IRS put of business. Instead of a disastrous health care plan, Mike would have encouraged healthy living and a free market solution to health care. Instead of the apologize for America tour, we would have had a President who humbly accepted America as the leader for freedom and peace in this world and encouraged others to follow our lead. Instead of weakening our military and not having a clear strategy he would have listened to his generals and got the job done to protect us.
With these thoughts in mind I hope that I see Mike Huckabee back in Ohio often in 2010 supporting Kasich and other candidates, but then in 2011 and 2012 giving us the opportunity to support him for President!
Here are some pictures from the event:

Huck: As a graduate Engineer and having spent the last 50 years, 20 running my own business, I have real concerns as to how we are going to get back to where we should be to a smaller government. There are over 15,000 pages of government regulations; EPA: EEOC; the Education Dept.; Labor Dept.; on and on. According to our constitution "Government shall make no laws on interstate commerce". Yet all of these and others violate this rule. We have a really big job ahead of us to rein in the government. I'm sure that very few of the candidates have even the slightest inkling of the size of the problem. How are you going to get this across to them and the voters? Thanks. Keep it up & God Bless
