April 15, 2008
Little Rock, AR - Former Governor Mike Huckabee (AR) introduces State Sen. Bob Clegg (NH) and Republican Candidate for Congress as a featured candidate on his PAC's new website, www.HuckPAC.com, it was announced today.
"When Bob Clegg is elected to Congress, he will take the same no-nonsense style and effective leadership to Washington that he has shown in Concord. He has been one of the most respected, effective, and sometimes even feared legislators in New Hampshire. He will go to Congress for all the right reasons!" Huckabee said today.
State Sen. Clegg is running for New Hampshire's 2nd Congressional District seat in the House of Representatives. In 2007 he chaired Mike Huckabee's presidential campaign in New Hampshire. In 2002 Bob was elected to the NH State Senate, where he later served as Majority Leader. Prior to that Bob served four terms in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.
"Like Governor Huckabee, I am tired of the partisan bickering in Washington and like most people, just want to see our elected representatives work together to solve some of the difficult challenges we face. Governor Huckabee always talked about vertical politics - how people don't care if the answers are liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat - they just want answers. That's how I've worked in the state legislature and that's how I'll work in Washington, Clegg said today.
Huckabee formed Huck PAC to identify Republican candidates who support a strong national defense, the fair tax, border security, life, the family, less government and individual liberty. The PAC will promote the campaigns and financially support the efforts of those that hold firm to these ideas and principles.
