URGENT: Stimulus Bill Is Anti-Religious

The dust is settling on the “bipartisan” stimulus bill and one thing is clear:  it is anti-religious.

Yes, both the House and Senate bills have a provision that prohibits federal dollars for higher education construction grants to be used for:

“…modernization, renovation, or repair of facilities--used for sectarian instruction, religious worship…or a school or department of divinity; or in which a substantial portion of the functions of the  facilities are subsumed in a religious mission.”

You would think the ACLU drafted this bill…

During debate, Senator Jim DeMint offered an amendment to strike the provision from the bill but it failed 43-54, with Democrats voting overwhelmingly for this blatantly anti-religious provision.

What can we do?  In the short term we can call our Senators and Representatives in Congress and voice our displeasure.  You can find their contact information here.

In the long term, we need to kick the Democrats out of Congress, especially the ones masquerading as “conservative Democrats” while voting like Barney Frank.

I know it is much easier to hit the delete button on this email than to take the time to make a few calls or write a letter, I get that.  Before you do however, I urge you to try and answer one question:  Why would Democrats add this provision into a spending bill that they say is “urgently needed” to help our economy?

The answer is troubling and predictable.  For all of the talk about bipartisanship, this Congress is blatantly liberal.  Emily’s List, radical environmental groups, etc. all have a seat at the decision making table in Washington these days.  Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are in charge and they are working with an equally “progressive” President Obama (remember his voting record is more liberal than Ted Kennedy!).

Republicans and conservatives must rally against their agenda.

This is the opening round of the Democrats’ campaign for BIG government.  We cannot afford to sit round one out, because if we do, they will only become more emboldened and their grab for power more audacious and damaging to our country and our freedoms.

Please join us today and then forward this blog to 10 friends.  Too much is at stake for Republicans to sit this one out on the sidelines.

Sometime you might wonder why your joining HuckPAC matters and how your contributions make a difference.  This is an example of our calling out our volunteers who can make a difference by churning out the phone calls and emails to let those on Capitol Hill know that we’re outraged that they would take such a cheap shot at people of faith.

Fighting for our freedoms,

Mike Huckabee

While we may not agree with the ARRA/Stimulus and the years it will take to pay back, there are ways small businesses can capitalize on this.
Much of the funding will trickle down as govt (federal, state & local) contracts. There will be players with clear advatages, and it will be those that are already established govt contractors. The best strategy for newcomers is to partner with these folks or jump in the game now & stay in for the long haul.

I have always said the if satan can't get you to go to hell he is more then happy the help you go to heaven just as fast as you'll let him. Satan wants us out of this earth and out of his face. His days are numbered and he knows it. Our salvation is not just to keep us from going to hell. Jesus called us to be His ambassadors in this earth. We are citizens of heaven. Jesus didn't give satan power over us He gave us authority over satan and all his powers. Praise God! Praise God! We need to put on the full armor of God. Our weapon is the sword of the spirit. The sword of the spirit is the word of God. We need to do all that we can do in the natural but we need to search out what the word says and begin the fight in the spiritual realm. Greater is He that is in us then he that is in the world. If God be for us than who can be against us? Our battle doesn't end until we are raptured out of here. Praise God! Yeh! Though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil. For thou art with me! Notice it didn't say though I lay down, sit down, roll around. It said walk through. He always delivers us. Praise God! The good news is that if satan attacks my body so hard and I'm just so sick and my faith just isn't strong enough I still win and will be delivered because I will be with the Lord. To be absent from the body is to be present with Christ.

My prayer is that this edifies. The bible ( God's will) tells us to fight the fight of faith. The mysteries of Christ isn't hid from us but for us. His will is that bible.

It is only natural that satan would try to kill off the seniors first. He doesn't want us here to teach and edify the younger ones. To share about our battles with with him. I believe God does! The sad thing is that they will come after not only the seniors but the ones like my son who has Cerebral Palsy.

Have a blessed day! Love all of you!

FOCA-by-Stealth -- Ask Congress to Defend Pro-Life Riders

The top priority for Planned Parenthood and their pro-abortion allies is to repeal the laws that prohibit federal funding of abortion. Often called pro-life "riders," the pro-abortion forces want House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to eliminate them and start using our tax dollars to pay for abortion-on-demand . . . nationwide.

Thankfully, a bi-partisan group of Members of Congress are standing up to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood (who used to work for Speaker Pelosi). A letter to Speaker Pelosi written by Republican Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio and Democrat Congressman Heath Schuler of North Carolina is being circulated for signatures by Members of Congress.

Now why in the world would I want to spend my hard earned money to support a Govt. that does things like this??

    I don't!!

Did my taxes the other day. I am supposed to send the IRS (Tim Turbo Tax) money. I have always paid my taxes.

Maybe I just won't pay this year. Wouldn't it be something if millions of us just decided we aren't going to pay this year.

They can't throw us all in jail........

Nice thought-nope, I will pay and continue to be their slave because I have kids to support.

I called both my Senators to voice my disapproval with the passing of this stimulus package. Guess it didn't do any good in the end but it sure made me feel better!! I mentioned in particular the part where the federal tax dollars are being prohibited for us in any educational institutions with religious connections. I also thanked Sen. DeMint for trying to get this repealed, even though he was voted down. I am glad that Senator DeMint and Gov. Sanford are speaking out against this stimulus. Even Lindsey Graham was very vocal against it....finally...Guess he follows Senator McCain's lead.

    Mary -

You are exactly right .... WHAT ELSE IS IN THIS BILL? I heard someone on Fox say that there was so many pages to it and he wasn't even sure what was in it all. Scary ... when we don't even know what we are signing to. That health care situation makes me hopping mad, for more reasons than one. My husband and I have paid enormous health insurance premiums for so many years now until they got up to over $700 and now as seniors they still are not too much less than that with our AARP. So now, we still pay high premiums but we never get a bill for health care; as it should be.

Well, I am sure this story can be repeated over and over again with other seniors.

But just the thought of the government choosing who lives and who dies .... well, how evil is that ?? !! Just as one does not care about preserving life in the womb, why would anyone think that they would care about preserving the life of the elderly ??

I am praying about this like crazy. Many American citizens still going about their business. Eating and drinking and being merry (just as the bible speaks of). Life is going on as usual. Many seem to care less about what bill is being passed in Washington. They have certainly taken their freedoms for granted, but I am afraid they will soon be in for a great jolt. They will say "oh, my goodness ... what's happening" ? ..... well, you voted him in and we tried to tell you but you thought that you knew it all. So, we all have to pay now !

Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus !!!

    PRAY, PRAY, PRAY !!

Dan Burton on C-SPAN, one of the representatives from Indiana, he was on fire.
He was talking about…yes the stimulus package. In this bill, health care will be based on the number of years that you could live.

He compared it to the Senior Rationing Health Care in the UK. So, it would be possible for a senior to get their health care rationed, in place of someone younger. “Seniors should be more accepting of conditions of those Aliments that come with age”. If we don’t think seniors need health care, then how long will it be that we think we don’t need seniors?

Here is his website, where he said he would put the page numbers that seniors need to read. Quite honestly, I think we all need to look at this. What else is in this bill, we don't know about???

People, we need to pray like we've never prayed before!!! Let's unite in prayer, for God's help and mercy!

    NEWS FEED: Dallas Morning News

Cornyn skips Senate vote on stimulus to raise money in New York
    By Dave Michaels

Politico reported late yesterday that Sen John Cornyn skipped the Senate cloture vote on the stimulus package. Cornyn has been an outspoken opponent of the stimulus legislation, but figured it would pass the procedural hurdle (which requires 60 yes votes, meaning it would survive a filibuster). So he went with a "prior commitment" to meet with prospective Republican donors in New York, according to his press aides. Cornyn chairs the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which raises money for Republican candidates for the Senate.

"His vote wouldn't have had any consequence, regardless," said Bryan Walsh, his spokesman at the NRSC. Since the cloture vote passed, 61-36, Cornyn would have been one more "no" vote. He would not have helped to block or pass the bill.

Don't forget to watch Gov. Huckabee tonight on "On The Record" with Greta. Fox News, 7 PM E.T.

I am hoping that he may have the opportunity to address this blatant anti-religious portion of the stimulus plan, the health-care policy that appears to discriminate against the elderly, the push for a national medical data-base, and Jill's reference to the White House taking over the census. He will probably need to use his own show to address some of this.

*****I think that their "URGENCY" in passing this Stimulus Plan is not so much their concern about the economy; but because they are trying to "sneak" through a lot of what is "actually" in this Plan.

We all need to be contacting our representatives, family, & friends and be speaking out about what is going on. Our freedoms seem to be quickly slipping away! We need to Fight Back!!!

Fox News Reported on the delivery of the 1st 69000 petitions to Congress on Friday. Who knows how many have been sent as of now. Add your name to the growing list of petitions to stop the Stimulus Bill. It's easy to send an email and tell your friends, if enough concerned citizens express their outrage over this insane spending on every imaginable socialist program without any real economic stimulus some Senators may be persuaded to back the opposition on this one.

    Governer Huckabee:

I appreciate you looking out for what is most important to this country. I know this situation we are facing is only the tip of the iceburg and a prelude to worse persecution of religion. I also believe Barack Obama is put into office for a reason. A divine reason. I need to of course explain this further in a hurry.

I don't believe it's is because of his so-called "charisma", hypocritical ideology (saying he is a Christian, but his actions say otherwise), or anything to do with him being an advocate for the church. I believe Barack Obama was put into office to wake up God's church. He is this era's "Pharoah" to be used by God to wake up His people. I believe the churches in America as a whole have been operating with a cultural, apathetic, seeker friendly, and frankly country-club mentality that's probably sending more people to hell than in any other era of our Christian heritage.

It's time for the Church to wake up and get with the program. Until then, these ungodly liberal programs will be passed unconsitutionally to persecute those of faith under the smokescreen of "separation of church and state" and while promoting a contradictory message of "tolerance" to deceive people of our great nation. This is a time when persecution will come and separate the "men from the boys", the true believers from the false, and the committed from the cultural followers. We have been weighed and found wanting. It's time to stand up and be counted!!!

    Americanism Economics

What is a constitutional form of economical governance?

Constitutional economics has finally been forefront on American’s mind. There have been numerous doctrines regarding it brought forth in the last year. Some desire a Keynesian economy and others babble capitalism. They have exercised libertarian beliefs comprising Frederic Bastiat’s, “The Law”. So far every philosophy brought forth has been foreign, as if America did not already embrace its own economic credence based on the Constitution.

Minn. Judges Reject Al Franken's Complaint Against Norm Coleman's Lawyers

    Monday, February 9, 2009 7:51 PM

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The judges in Minnesota's Senate trial rejected a complaint from Al Franken on Monday that Norm Coleman's lawyers weren't following trial rules and were slowing things down. But the judges said they would explore other ways to go faster.

Coleman's attorneys are working through about 4,700 rejected absentee ballots one by one, presenting evidence they hope will convince the three-judge panel that the ballots should be added to a race that Franken leads by 225 votes.

It's a tedious process expected to take weeks; working through ballots one by one, they've covered only four of the state's 87 counties after two weeks.

I think these things get slipped by the majority of the American people and we don't know how our senators are voting on many of these bills. We need to get awareness out there to folks to check up on their representatives and hold them to the standards their jobs require. A call to action from former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and U.S. Senator Jim DeMint to stop ACLU supported bill
Democrats vote to discriminate against Christians and people of faith

President Obama's stimulus bill discriminates against Christians and people of faith. The stimulus bans universities and colleges from using funds to renovate buildings where students engage in "religious worship."

U.S. Senator Jim DeMint made the following statement after Democrats voted 43-54 against his amendment to strike from the economic stimulus bill language that discriminates against people of faith. Senator DeMint's amendment would have eliminated a provision that bans any university or college receiving restoration funds, from allowing "sectarian instruction" or "religious worship" within the facility. This would in effect bar use of campus buildings for groups like Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Campus Crusade for Christ, Catholic Student Ministries, Hillel and other religious organizations.

It's not just anti religion, it is anti the general people in America, anti what America has alwasy stood for, the general public does NOT want 99% of what is in that bill, AND WE CANNOT AFFORD ANY OF IT; he says the general public cannot afford, etc., but the federal government CAN??? Where does the idiot think that money is coming from? We do not want that crap, and no one needs the majority of it, it will not stimulate anything but higher taxes to pay for it. With all the jobs that have been lost, where is the money going to come from since those people and the ones who ran out of unemployment are NOT paying taxes, which drastically takes down income to the federal government, meaning as any numb skull knows higher taxes for those left working. Total oxymoronic thinking. Plus if Planned Parenthood had its way with its orignal agenda, Obama and his family would not exist as the purpose for it was to eliminate the Black population; he should get a brain! Nice speeches do not do a dang thing!

    02/10/2009 07:40 AM

This porkulus bill is really "rich" (meaning hypocritical) in that Pres. Obama painted himself as a Christian in the debates and someone who is a fan of Jesus. However, one comment to Pastor Rick Warren was telling. When asked when "Life Begins" he said it was "Above His Pay Grade" to answer with any "Specificity." That had to be the strangest answer I've ever heard a politician make. Sen. Obama also mocked the books of Leviticus, Deuteronomy and the Sermon on the Mount, but he never mocked the Koran. He also said “You folks haven’t been reading your Bible!” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FCNKwHRCQM

Sen. Obama also promised Planned Parenthood that he would sign the “Freedom of Choice Act.”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0__ctD48nfQ and here’s the 23 minute version of the whole address to Planned Parenthood if you can stomach listening that long: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUl99id2SvM&NR=1

Here’s my 2 cent question for the day: How did we survive until 1979 without the Dept. of Education?
How did Gov. Huckabee go to Arkansas Boys’ State and how did Judge Deborah go to Ohio’s Buckeye Girls’ State in the summer of 1973 without the Dept. of Education?

How did we survive without the IRS and the Income Tax before 1913? Think about it: Many of us graduated from high school and survived without Roe v. Wade in 1973 (actually J.D. graduated in 1974).

Here’s Judge Deborah’s 2 cents worth: We need to eliminate the IRS and the Dept. of Education and return control of schools back to the states.

And one more thing about that pesky FairTax that just won’t go away. We need to set the FairTax rate at 10% (ten percent) permanently! We can have a Federal FairTax of 10%, State Tax of 7% and a Local Tax of 3% and that will give power back to the people!

Look, if they can’t survive on that, they’re simply trying to solve all the problems of the world with our tax dollars and that’s U.N.C.O.N.S.T.I.T.U.T.I.O.N.A.L.!

Then we need a Constitutional Amendment to balance the Federal Budget and make them live the way all American families have to live and the American People can Order the Federal Government to have a $10 trillion budget surplus at all times! (Hey, Huckapedia, Judge Deborah is just getting warmed up!)

OBAMA STIMULUS: NO MONEY FOR WHITE CONSTRUCTION WORKERS

Thank you for the "heads up," Gov. Huckabee. Not only is the "stimulus bill" antireligious, but the Obama administration has racially-motivated intentions for the stimulus money. Here's Robert Reich, a member of Obama's economic transition advisory board, advising Charlie Rangel in January that the government has to come up with formulas to make sure "that these [stimulus-funded infrastructure] jobs not simply go to high-skilled people who are already professionals or to white male construction workers."

Obama's bailout is really all about hastening his "fundamental transformation [revolution] of America." Suddenly the messiah of Hope is peddling doom in order to scare the American people into submission. What's Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel's mantra? "Never let a serious crisis go to waste."

Saul Alinsky couldn't have come up with a more perfect disciple of his methods if he had created Obama from the dust of the ground himself.

God save us from the Marxist takeover.
