Mike - I just wanted to say thank you for being unapologetically opposed to the $700 billion Wall Street bailout. Thank you for being one of the strongest voices against this outrageous theft of the taxpayer's money.
Mike Pence, a principled conservative in the House of Representatives from Indiana gave a great speech on the House floor against the bailout plan. I urge everyone who has grave concerns about the long-term impact of this bailout on our economic freedom to listen to his speech.
http://mikepence.house.gov/UploadedFiles/9-29-2008%20-%20Floor%20Speech%20Against%20Bailout.wmvWe are approaching the 235th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party on Dec. 16, and it is high time we had another one. Taxation without representation has been replaced by taxation from inept, incompetent representation.

Here's hoping that President Bush DOES THE RIGHT THING and commutes the sentences of U.S. Border Control agents Ramos and Compean.
What really galls me about this case is the federal government granting a known drug smuggler immunity to testify against Ramos and Compean. That is just plain wrong. This decision also renders Border Control agents completely impotent when they perceive a threat to their safety. They might as well trade in their government issued gun for a water pistol.
Mike - if you are so moved I hope that you will draw attention to the case of Ramos and Compean on your show. They need all the help they can get.

BAILOUT FATIGUE
I am philosophically opposed to any government bailout. I have rarely been so incensed that I felt compelled to call my elected representatives to protest the $700 billion bailout that unfortunately passed last month. Part of my opposition was due to the moral hazard that such bailouts will certainly propogate. Part of my opposition stems from the certainty that one bailout would lead to another and another with no end in sight.
Gov. Schwarzeneggar and the Gov. of Massachusetts have already asked for bailouts for their respective states. Gov. Crist pushed for a national catastrophe insurance fund during the Florida primary that would effectively subsidize private homeowner's insurance in high risk ocean front areas with national taxpayer money. There are some major hedge funds that are hemorrhaging money right now. They and their investors will be next shoe to drop (remember Long Term Capital?). American Express has asked for a bailout - can VISA or MasterCard be far behind? What about individuals that became addicted to their credit cards? We can't forget them either. Enough - I'm tired of this.
Yet for all my philosophical objections I find myself sympathetic to the automotive industry. What really bothers me is Congress' rush to pass a $700 billion bailout in record time for Wall St. and their sudden reluctance over $25 billion for Detroit. That's less than a quarter of the $125 billion given to AIG alone. Why am I sympathetic?
1. At least with an automotive bailout we are helping U.S. companies and U.S. jobs. The AIG bailout was approved to help foreign companies and investors.
2. At least the automotive industry creates a product that all of us can use and we can export, a product that creates wealth and jobs in the U.S. Wall St. doesn't create anything - it only transfers wealth from one entity to another while taking a big cut for itself. Wall St. is a wealth taker, not a wealth creator. As Gordon Gekko famously said in the movie Wall Street, "It's a zero sum game, somebody wins, somebody loses. Money isn't itself lost or made, it's simply transferred from one perception to another."
3. God forbid we should ever have to fight another World War. How could we possibly mobilize if our manufacturing capacity is totally gone. Will China make our tanks, our jeeps, our trucks? Chances are, China will not be on our side. There is a national security element to this that nobody is talking about.
Don't get me wrong. I am still philosophically opposed to bailouts, but I find myself wrestling with the idea of helping the auto industy. I would gladly take away every dime of the AIG bailout ($125 billion) and give it to an industry that actually creates something for America - a product, jobs, and wealth.
Bankruptcy might work for the Big 3, but only if it is Chapter 11 where the company is still allowed to operate while it restructures. What happens if the creditors demand Chapter 7 instead where the companies will have to cease operations and liquidate assets until they have paid off their debts? In the latter case, there is no going back. The Big 3 and the thousands of suppliers that support them will be dead and gone forever. That's a helluva gamble to take.

Mary Brock,
Right on .... you are ! .....
Everything you said ..... I also said "She is right"
I am also astounded as mentioned numerous times on here...... about the intellect of Obama ....... I do not get it ..... I heard someone say yesterday on t.v. that they never understood his popularity ..... that it was more cultic than anything. I do believe that it is a form of "worship".
I will take the brain of Sarah Palin leading my country anyday to B.O. Yes, I know all about the msm slandering and lying about Palin. Not once did they ever elaborate on any of the many slip-ups of Obama.
Ms. Obvious - this election has also changed my t.v. viewing forever. It is despicable how they are allowed to sway voters and elect our leaders !!
These old, has-been staffers of the Clintons leaves a bad taste. Too bad he doesn't know any new, smart and refreshing faces to help aid him. Yes, I also wonder how they all passed the rigid "stiff - sniff test" ...... ??
Sarah Palin did nothing but HELP Senator McCain where none of the rest could have such as Joe L., Pawlenty and all the rest of the names that were being tossed around. I only know one other name that could have won it for McCain and that is "Huckabee" .... With even that, it might have been a tough sell with this "idol worship" going on. But think he could have pulled it off.
That being said ...... as Gov. Huckabee says .... got to move forward and pray for Obama & company and their leadership. For the sake of our country .... we have to ..... NO other choice. I want him to succeed. But it is still okay to discuss what we do not agree with him on ...... before you can pray, you have to pinpoint the problem areas.
Too many irons in the fire ..... gotta go !!

Mary Brock: I absolutely agree that Sarah Palin was victimized by the same media that was determined to protect Joe Biden. First, they made her into a rock star, then they threw gotcha questions at her to trip her up, and finally, they bought the McCain staff argument that she was uncooperative and selfish.
But the McCain campaign staff were at least as guilty as the media. Mike's new book has a section about how Romney's staff rented a whole fleet of golf carts at one function, and then hogged all the parking spaces as if they were the only ones there. As far as I can see, the McCain campaign staff had the same mind set. They thought they could just run over the American people with Sarah Palin. They threw her into the campaign at the last moment with almost no preparation, and then tried to blame her for the loss afterwards. I say - when you come out to run everyone else over, you better get ready to be run over yourself. The McCain campaign staff deserved what they got - a crushing defeat.
Too bad that honorable people like John McCain and Sarah Palin had to get mixed up with them.

Happy Wednesday morning!
I see no mention here, but Pajamas Media is advertising Governor Huckabee as a featured speaker on their on-line broadcast today at 4:00 pm PST. Here is the address:
www.pjtv.com
Mary,
I'm astounded at how many really intelligent friends and family members have bought into the media's Palin bashing.
We still have our "SARAH!" sticker next to the Huckabee one on our car.
When Dr. Richard Land was asked why he didn't endorse Huckabee, he replied that his endorsement would be the "kiss of death" to the Huckabee campaign. Perhaps open collaboration between people like Huckabee and Palin would not be politically expedient--I hope at some point and at the appropriate level it happens--among all the brilliant conservative leadership out there.
Interesting that the GAP (Great American Public) confuses Governor Sarah Palin with SNL's lampoon of Sarah Palin. This election has changed our household's TV viewing forever.

II don’t know whether Sarah Palin should play a role in the 2012 election or not…but let me give you a few more straight facts. Let’s not always be prey for the mainstream media who are the Propaganda arm of the liberal left.
In fact, Sarah Palin was slandered about her knowledge concerning Africa and some other issues.
http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2008Nov12/0,4670,PalinHoax,00.html
And how about those ethic charges…finally cleared the NIGHT BEFORE election
http://gretawire.foxnews.com/2008/11/03/troopergate/
Furthermore, if you listen to her interview with Greta on Fox, you’ll find out the $150,000 for clothes is farce also. She never asked for any of those clothes.
http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2008Nov08/0,4670,Palin,00.html
This is NOT a dumb woman, either! Maybe being a maverick and a straight shooter the media was able to make more of it. But this is a woman who has managed negotiate and build a 40 billion-dollar natural gas pipeline.
AND please listen to this one…out of the four candidates, probably was more likely to be the most successful at identifying and prosecuting those who were involved in all this financial fiascos. Why do I say this? She has done it, she even did it within her own party in Alaska AND she is not a Washington insider. Why do you think the mainstream media was after her so much?!!
So do you think all those involved in all financial fraud will be exposed now? Shoot, we’re just giving the same people more money, isn’t it grand! If we every needed to clean house or should I say Senate, it is now! I’d love to have someone who has had experience doing just that!!
Obama saying there are 57 states, oh yes, and he still had one more to visit, too. Did hear him talk without a teleprompter? Did you see this on television? Does this make him dumb?....Hardly!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omHUsRTYFAU
Or how about when Biden asks wants to honor a man and ask Chuck Graham, a state senator, to stand up... he is in a Wheelchair.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2mzbuRgnI4
How about when Biden said Obama didn’t support “Clean Coal” then had to backtrack, because in fact Obama does support “Clean Coal”….just not the coal industry as we
found out. I could go on…but did you see any of these on the mainstream media, the Propaganda arm of the liberal left….no!Wouldn’t the media have a party if Plain had said we were going to be attacked within six months of Obama being elected!!!! Maybe Sarah Palin has had her moments caught by our mainstream media the left Propaganda arm of the liberal left. But, where, oh where are Obama’s and Biden's moments that I’ve just talked about?
Hey, all I am saying is that given the right moments, almost any candidate can be made to look “dumb” if you have a motivated media.

I enjoyed your appearance on "The View" Gov. Huckabee. I had to endure the first part before you appeared however. I don't usually watch this show, but I think you had those ladies pretty much under control, even to one (Joy, I believe) saying you were her favorite Republican Yaaaaay, she joins the rest of us Right Thinking Republicans. You even gave her an appreciative kiss on the cheek. I think Whoopie would have liked to get you cornered on the gay marriage issue, but they hurried on to another subject. You handled the situation with your usual wit and class. Good going!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing you at the Book Signing in Des Moines, IA. Thursday.

I enjoyed watching Governor Huckabee on Hannity and Colmes last night. Alan tried to make Huckabee's book out to be an attack on Romney. I was glad that Huckabee set him straight on that and a few other things, and that he was able to talk about Romney's record. It was kind of funny to watch Hannity playing with his pencil while Governor Huckabee got to speak the truth about what really happened during the campaign. I can't wait to receive the book. I'm hoping it arrives today.

To Sunny in California,
Thanks for sharing.
I have been pushing the 60 minutes tape, for awhile now. I haven't heard much blogging about it. Then Deborah in Ohio responded and added the MotherJones link about how the Commododies Futures Modernization Act of 2000 got pushed through.

I have been pushing the Huckabee Fair Tax Rally Video ever since I attended it. Thanks for bringing it back.
I appreciate you adding the Peter Schiff videos, it appears he had the crystal ball.
I have listened to a lot of Comments / Speeches / Talks made by Sarah Palin. I never faulted her for using some slang. I still catch myself say oky doky. I liked the fact she wasn't status quo. I was looking forward to bills with pork being vetoed. I too wrote many emails and made many phone calls to McCains people suggesting Huckabee for VP. I did the same for attempting to get a debate prior to the Texas and Ohio primaries (March 4th). This just wasn't the year for Huckabee, the media was our worst enemy. I also don't like the way the primares are done in several of the states. Palin was a better choice than Liberman or Romney.
We really are on the same page, thanks for commenting.

To Lynn Greenlee...
Thank you Lynn for your kind comments and observations. We all need to be aware that President Elect Obama has already stated that he thought the Constitution did not go far enough.... that it was a living breathing document...i.e. it is subject to change. Others have stated as a result of this that he actually has contempt for the Constitution. So what does he mean by CHANGE? What HOPE is he referring to? And Yes we CAN.... do WHAT?
The Letter I sent used this link as a basis.
This letter has already been sent by over 100,000 so far. If others have not done so... please do!
http://www.rallycongress.com/constitutional-qualification/1244/stop-obama-constitutional-crisis/
Only part I added was:-
"OK, here we are only days away from the Electoral College distribution and Inauguration.
"President Elect Obama if you have the info required to clean up this growing mess I'm sure you are smart enough to know that if you present them NOW it would save what is becoming a Constitutional Crisis the like of which this Country has never seen before. Please Sir, I implore you for the sake of Our Great Country and We the People, present the information required so we can put this matter behind us and move onto the amazing challenges that face us all. Thank you."
You can add your own personalized comment to the letter or if you wish to use what I have written, you and anyone else who wishes to do so are more than welcome, please do.... we all want the same outcome and are here to help each other achieve it.
Also noteworthy.... there are over 17 Legal Cases being brought across the Country on this matter. Dr Alan Keyes is heading one up in California on behalf of all Californians.... and he does have Standing!
Philip Berg had some 86 million hits on his website up until Oct 30th.... ObamaCrimes.ComIn the Name of Justice, Liberty & Freedom let us all keep up the Good Fight!
Sooner or later this thing has got to break.... and the Media will not be able to IGNORE it anymore!

Scott Anderson 11/17 4:21 pm: I enjoy your messages here and on your website, and appreciate your consternation that Obama should compare himself to Abe Lincoln. But in my opinion, we should hope that Barack Obama DOES attempt to emulate Lincoln in his Presidency, and there are reasons to think he will try.
Lincoln and Obama do have background experience in common. When Lincoln was 9 years old and his mother died, his father left him and his sister to fend for themselves in the woods for six months while he went in search of a bride to bring home as a mother for the children. Lincoln never forgave his father for that, and didn't attend his funeral when he died. Lincoln was, however, very close to his mother, and his stepmother, going out of his way to visit his stepmother after being elected President, when he could have used that time to select a cabinet. As you know, Obama lost his father at an early age, and grew up close to both his mother and his grandmother. The recent visit to his grandmother in Hawaii at a critical time in the campaign was eerily reminiscent of Lincoln's trip to the backwoods almost 160 years ago.
Second, both Lincoln and Obama grew up to be reserved in manner, bummed around for a period of time in their young adulthood, then decided on local community service as the way to go. Both had a reserved personality, a certain reluctance to close attachments to others, except for their wives and children, to whom they were very devoted. Both men were determined to give what they didn't get when they were little, a father's love.
Lincoln came from humble origins and cared about "the people". One of my favorite Lincoln quotes is "God must have loved the common people, for he made so many of them". By birth, Obama is one of those common people, and his stated concern today is the middle class. It is not easy to understand from their early years how either of them became intellectually brilliant or gifted orators.
When asked what his governing policy would be, Lincoln said "my policy is to have no policy". I suspect that Obama will also have an eclectic governing style, making pragmatic, rather than ideological, decisions as he goes along. He will move immediately to the center, and disappoint his liberal supporters. And it looks like he really will select a Team of Rivals for his cabinet, as Lincoln did in 1860. If form follows, Obama will be a strong President because he learned early that life can be hard.
We should pray that when Barack Obama gets up in the morning every day, he asks himself "now what can I do today that would make Abe Lincoln proud?" If he does that, we could all rest easier.
But the main advantage that Obama has that Lincoln didn't have is the model of Mike Huckabee. It is obvious to me, at least, that, whatever Obama does with regard to Lincoln's example, he is already emulating Huckabee in several ways, including his emphasis on energy independence, an infrastructure stimulus package, more prevention in health care, sparing children in immigration reform, and transparency in government spending. These are all ways in which Mike won the contest of ideas during the election, and I believe Obama will promote them all. This being the case, things may not turn out so badly after all.

To anyone who went to the Fair Tax Rally on Sunday in Duluth, GA. I would like to know how big of a success it was?
To Sunny in Ca.
I believe Sarah Palin brought the party together. If it came down to it and she was forced into the Presidency, she would be just as capable as any other Vice President in history. She was one of the most down to earth politicians I have seen. She definitely did not have a Washington DC mentality. I am for hucabee in 2012. Other than that we need to play close attention to the current problems. What do you know about the Commodities Futures Modernization Act of 2000 the product of a lame duck session? Hey Stephanie Bradford, I was wondering the same thing myself – I thought perhaps I was just missing the coverage; yet all I’m seeing are stories about the economic crises . . . what the future holds for the Republican Party . . . who is going to run in 2012 . . . what Sarah Palin had for breakfast . . . . etc. But does anybody know why this issue of Attorney Philip Berg filing a Writ of Certiorari in the US Supreme Court to which Obama must produce his authentic vault birth certificate by December 1 isn’t anywhere in the media? Perhaps there’s procedure that must be followed whereby they’re waiting to gather more definitive information before releasing a story of this magnitude? (I mean, we all know how careful the media is.) Or maybe they just figure that, in spite of new developments, Obama’s birth certificate is old news already covered during the campaign?
If Obama is to be our President, then it is what it is, and as Americans we’ll need to support him in prayer as our President (not to mention pray for this nation as never before). But must we just resign ourselves to his presidency, if he has come into office illegally? I thought the letter you sent addressing this was excellent, Stephanie – is it okay to use your letter to send to our Senators, etc.? Let’s also be praying very specifically in these next two weeks that righteousness in this election would prevail and that in the event Obama doesn’t comply, the lawyers he’s hired would not be victorious in allowing him to bypass this vital requirement, and that the Supreme Court would honor their role as guardians of the Constitution and have the courage to do the right thing by decertifying Obama’s election on the grounds that he is unqualified to serve as President of the United States.

"We knew Abraham Lincoln; Abe Lincoln was a founder of ours; President Elect Obama, you're no Abraham Lincoln."
by MrArbitrageI was a bit disturbed to see this guy on 60 minutes last night, once again, bringing up Abraham Lincoln in an interview. He obviously wants to establish a specious connection with the great leader as he has brought Lincoln up on many other occasions and even campaigned with a banner bearing Lincoln’s image in front of the State House where Lincoln served. What makes it so appalling is that the primary issues for which Obama stands are in direct opposition to the father of the GOP.
Obama can get away with this because the majority of Americans who voted for him have been turned out by the public school system. They have been failed miserably and have no idea that what made Lincoln great was the principal on which he campaigned. The Republican Party was founded by a large number of disenchanted Whigs and a small number of Democrats on a single, core principal - that a human being cannot be the –property- of another human being. It is that same principal boldly put forward in the Declaration of Independence that all men are CREATED equal and that our rights come from our CREATOR. Lincoln dogged Senator Douglas at Illinois County fairs and any chance he could get, challenging him to debate this very issue. Some Obama voters may have heard of the term “Lincoln-Douglas” but they don’t know that the significance of the names is more than just format they learned in their high school debate class.
The truth of the matter is that if Obama wasn’t himself of African decent and had lived during Lincoln’s time, the evidence shows that he would most assuredly been as pro-slavery as Stephen Douglas or any slave trader. I can say that with confidence because the very sick logic he uses to fight for the protection of partial birth abortion, the very same logic used to justify leaving a new born to die in a hospital utility closet simply because the “mother’s” intent was to abort it – is the same rationale upon which the perpetuation of slavery depended. People had to talk themselves out of believing what their eyes, ears and God given conscience was telling them and convince themselves that they could find rectitude in their sins if enough other people were on their side and if the law of human tribunals said it’s ok.
Lincoln himself had plenty of flaws as we all do but he was clearly ordained by God to play a pivotal role in American history. Yes, President Elect Obama, Lincoln was a great orator – but he did not become one of the most popular President’s in history by making great speeches. It was the substance of those speeches that made Lincoln great and for Obama’s short career, he has thus far been on the opposite side of those positions which entitle Lincoln to the veneration of American posterity.
It is quite simple (truth usually is). If anyone, including Barack Obama, can look at the pictures of abortion’s victims and assert that this is “horrible” -yet justifiable- on the grounds that the mother has the right to do this because it is “her body” – they are contending that a human being CAN rightfully be the property of another human being and are simultaneously defending the same rationale that allowed for slavery. That is how I KNOW that Obama would have been on the wrong side of history then as he is now.
Barrack Obama made what appeared to be a “Freudian slip” on the campaign trail when he actually said that if one of his daughters, in his words, “made a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby." That revealing statement is all the proof in the world that Obama would clearly be incapable of making a cogent argument of –why- slavery was wrong and abolished. When you take away the CREATOR, the source of liberty imbedded within our very charter, anything is permissible as long as the majority feel it is ok.
Many a pro-slavery politician maintained that he “personally” found slavery horrible and would like to “reduce the number of slaves” being sold in the south - but that is not a characteristic of strong leadership nor is it honorable to admit that one finds something egregious but is unwilling to cease from placating those who wish to profit from the status quo. Lincoln was treated as a nut job by the “mainstream” just as are those passionate opponents of abortion today. He would not have had a chance of winning that election had the vote not been split between 3 parties.
Based upon his positions, I cannot imagine what Barack Obama thinks he has in common with Lincoln or what aspect of Lincoln’s life he wants to emulate. I guess he likes the idea of having a big monument of himself in Washington, DC. In discussing this with my father last night, he suggested that perhaps he’s admiring the more controversial aspects of Lincoln’s administration like suspending habeas corpus throughout the nation or nationalizing the railroads. Although he said it in jest, that seems like the most plausible theory.
That move may have worked in the end toward saving the Union under a great man like Lincoln - but if it is a strategy percolating in Obama’s mind, we are in for a great deal of trouble. Just as there have been great Kings and Queens who have ruled righteously over their “subjects”; there have been unjust tyrants throughout history who were a curse upon their respective nations or empires. The key difference is their world view and their view of their own limitations and responsibilities.
What I expect to see over the next 4-8 years: As usually happens with centralized government, I expect agencies given far reaching powers for reasons that were compelling when initially established – to be used for purposes other than those for which they were intended. Specifically, I expect that under Obama, Pelosi and Reed, it is only a matter of time before the Department of Homeland Security is used to fight the newly defined “terrorism”. The new terrorism will not be of the Islamic variety but rather Judeo-Christian “hate speech” about something called “sin” and the audacious notion of there being only “one way to God”. You are seeing portents of things to come as in the case of those homosexual activists in California attacking an elderly lady, throwing her cross on the ground and stepping on it. You may see that as a radical prediction but I assure you that although the Democrat representatives and the activist judges with whom they will stack the deck are more clandestine in their attacks but every bit as hostile. Their coming legislation, executive orders and verdicts will be far more dangerous than a militant protestor holding a sign in the streets of San Francisco.

FACE THE FACTS!!!
IF THE GOP HAD DONE THE RIGHT THING WE WOULD HAVE HAD A CHANCE AGAINST THE COMING TIDALWAVE!!!I think Sarah Palin should enjoy herself in Alaska, and in my opinion she is NOT and WAS NOT Presidential material and anyone who still thinks that she is or was, are only fooling themselves. If you still think she should run in 2012, you need to look at all of her interviews and really listen to what she is saying. She isn’t saying much of anything!!! That is the simple truth of it. I do think she brought out votes, but we didn’t have a choice because McCain was not our choice at all, and people wanted to be excited for the ticket. A lot of people were clinging to anything they could to stop Obama’s empty message of Hope and Change, but really folks!!! I think if people would stand back and look carefully at the big picture of really went wrong this elections cycle; it should make you all very dog-gone mad that the GOP was so desperate to keep Mike off of the ticket that they took a huge gamble and put someone that made us Republican’s look SO SILLY on as McCain’s running mate. The more she has talked since the end of the election I can TOTALLY see why they wanted to keep her mum around the media.
And I would NOT want to see her as Mike’s Vice Presidential Pick!!!
I want someone with a lot more substance and experience second in command.

Hilly-Billy: BroBama, what makes you think I'm best to be Secretary of the State, not the Vice President?
BroBama: Women makes good secretary! However, you will still have to wake up at 3 O'clock in the morning to answer the call like you have promised the world!

Isn't God amazing?! He took a failed presidential campaign and opened the doors wide for you to communicate your message to America on a much bigger scale - radio, TV, and book tours!
Our prayers are with you, Mike, and with your family on this incredible journey. When you complete the book tour, write another one about all the stories and people you have heard and met along the way. You can be the new "Charles Kuralt on the Road"! America needs to restore her sanity after two years of pundits and politics. We need to hear from "normal" people again.
Our biggest need is for God not to change Washington, but to change and transform hearts in Washington. I am praying that He will bring personal revival out of the chaos of our times.
May God's favor and blessing be upon you as you serve Him and your country.
The entire Kuo Family loves you, Brother!

Although this may be outside my realm of understanding, but am I smelling a rat? The Dems are pushing for this IMMEDIATE auto industry bailout. If my reading between the lines doesn't fail me, would this also be a bailout of the auto unions as well? If the "Big Three" are left to fail, wouldn't that be a crippling blow to those unions that have kept a stranglehold on these companies for so many years? Bankruptcy/restructuring would mean voiding union contracts to keep the workforce in place, correct? With such a scenario, this would hurt the Dems as their premier campaign donors' prowess would be diminished. I heard this weekend that the UAW president basically told Detroit that no further concessions would be made as they've made enough...What do think that means?!?!?! Wouldn't the UAW want to help its members keep their jobs?

Speaking of scheduling, how about booking Ted Nugent on an upcoming "Huckabee" show? I just finished his latest book "Ted, White & Blue". It was great! It expounds on Ted's patriotism...unwavering, unapologetic and true. I've come away with a whole new respect for him, setting aside his musical triumphs. Could you imagine Ted Nugent standing next to Huck promoting The FairTax?

Wow! How do you get it all done?
Enjoyed your show last night. I like the fact that you are emphasizing Christian leadership in your guests. Thank you.
I have ordered signed copies of your new book and want very much to attend the book signing in Lansing, Michigan, Schuler's Books, Eastwood Mall, but I have an exam that evening. I know there will be a big crowd because the location is very, very popular with all the surrounding communities. Even though we have several Barnes & Nobles here in town, Schuler's remains a favorite because it is Michigan owned. Good luck trying to find a place to park your car/bus.

Gov. Huckabee,
I love your show! I noticed a nice looking lady sitting in the audience that rumor has swings a mean hammer for Habitat for Humanity and also works with the American Red Cross. Do you think you could persuade your lovely wife to be a guest on your show sometime to put in a plug for her favorite charities plus let the world know what a true gem she is?I’ll be praying for you even more than normal during your extremely busy schedule in the next few weeks of your book tour. I pre-ordered your book from Amazon and am impatiently waiting for it because I'm looking forward to reading it.

GO, MIKE, GO!!! :-)
Mike is beginning his nation-wide tour to promote his new book. To find the schedule, go to www.MikeHuckabee.com
I'm hoping to bring my 7-yr-old to meet Mike on Nov. 19 at a book signing in Alexandria, VA. She has been asking me since the primary season if she could please "shake Huckabee's hand."
My daughters CRIED when Obama won. Our 5-year-old said, "The bad guy won." She is already praying: "next time, dear God, please let the good guy win." I always silently add, "Dear God, let the good guy next time be MIke Huckabee."
Gov. Huckabee, if you have time, could we trouble you for a picture with you? It would mean a lot to my daughter and me. Thanks.
We enjoy seeing the very eclectic mix of guests on your show!

"A lawsuit was filed against CA Secretary of State, Debra Bowen, Barack Obama, Senator Joe Biden, and the California Democratic Party Electors on November 12, 2008. Dr. Alan Keyes, Ambassador, Dr. Wiley S. Drake, Sr, and Markham Robinson initiated the Petition for Writ of Mandate in
Superior Court in Sacramento California. All California Electors are listed as defendants."Dear Hucksters.....
I know this matter is "Toxic", as there are not many who want to know about this outrageous situation - a real test of Our Constitution for sure - If someone, whoever they are can "flaunt" this and skate right on by, then Our Beloved Country is in more peril than we thought. This is a real test as to whether We the People really do and will stand for Our Constitution!
I am not an alarmist, or someone who likes to make much about nothing. The news media's Silence on this Matter is Most Deafening even though there some 17 different Cases being brought about this matter across the Country. If there was ever a time for our voices to be heard, it is NOW!
Gov Huckabee can you please assist us by also voicing your thoughts regarding President Elect Obama's POTUS standing?

The Cause and Cure of our current Fiscal Crisis
Before W.W.II this Nation was a closed market to imports. The framers of our current tax structure did so under the Americans consuming only domestic manufacturing, I imagine using the production tax system as a convenience since the bookwork was already in place and under management control. Then we opened our trade to Japan, making for free trade. This gave the American consumer a boost to their cashflow, making for more spending in other areas and those we lost a few jobs, the increased cashflow produced many more jobs.
President Reagan then introduced free trade to the world and opened our border to duty free import. NO thought was given to the production tax structure in place and the new surge of cheap goods made for even greater prosperity to the American consumer, while again eliminating some jobs, but at the same time we had new technology introducing new avenues of employment, thus the excise production tax on domestic production had minimal effect. During the period after, companies were being cannibalized for short term profit as their competition from imports was cutting into the profit margin and causing little advantage to stay in business. These companies were closed, jobs being eliminated, as the scavenger Companies bought them up and sold them for parts or took the parts overseas to open up manufacturing to import and feed the open accounts of buyers of the closed companies products, in a duty free, production tax free advantage and at a high markup profit.
The slow demise of manufacturing in America has grown and the need of social programs from the Federal Government to prop up the American dream continued to grow, expanding deficit spending and hidden inflation. This perpetuated the domestic excise production tax, furthering the handicap of American manufacturing. The need for additional income into Families also grew, demanding more then two spouses could produce to keep up with the standard of living and regulations and license fees, insurance costs, to a point where a majority of Americans are now in a fiscal struggle living paycheck to paycheck, if working. Jobs have become hard to find, many being entry level service jobs without any ability to advance or receive adequate wage. Jobs are at a premium, even with a low reported unemployment level, which does not report and hides many who have slipped from the employment rolls due to years of job seeking frustration, especially in the urban and rural areas.
Now we find ourselves being tempted into becoming what we fought for years with our own blood to push back, fascism, Communism and the Tyranny of Government, with the promise of fiscal security. The American Dream is on life support in need of a true free market, one of which fair trade exists. The cost advantage of foreign imports over domestic by continuing with a production tax is about 22%, the amount of hidden tax in domestic goods.
Time is of essence, that this very hour, this Nation is about to fall. The World Government proponents are about to make their final push for world dominance through one world currency. The Marxist of the world have moved into leadership positions in coalition with the One World Shadow known as RHINOs, the pawns of the One World Government advocates. The old media has joined or is owned by both powers and is a major instrument of this Coalition and is making for a unique threat to the U.S. Constitution.
The only way to prevent the above from fulfilling their mission to dominate this Nation and the World is to offer change to the American worker and Family a grand demand for their employment, jobs, jobs, jobs. Only then will the chain of despair be broken. The Conservative Movement must center all it's will on fixing the failing tax and trade structure of this Nation. We must lay down the plank of the Fair Tax Plan WWW.fairtax.org to the Democrat and Republican Grassroots and educate them across into a Party totally centered on the character and values of the Founding Fathers, presiding under the Constitution as written through the demand on the Judiciary to be of good behavior as instructed in the Constitution and defined by Alexander Hamilton in the Federalist #78 Document. http://www.constitution.org/fed/federa78.htm
The Fair Tax is the Salvation of the United States of America and it's Constitution of liberty and Freedom of We the People. Make it so. -

Folks, please take a moment to send Governor Schwarzenegger a message to support the will of the people with regard to prop 8 in California. Arnold calls himself the "people's governor" lets make sure he gets the message!!!
Copy this link into your browser:
http://gov.ca.gov/interact
Here's what I wrote:
Dear Governor,Please support the will of the people of California with regard to proposition 8.
1.) The proposition is merely supposed to define marriage in the state Constitution as being between a man and a woman. This has been the standard definition of marriage throughout all of recorded history; no significant religion, people group, or culture has ever defined marriage as anything other than between a man and a woman.
2.) While I fully support the right of same sex couples to live together, enjoy civil unions, and enjoy the same legal benefits as married couples, I do not believe that there is a "civil right" for same sex couples to marry. There is no need to redefine marriage.
3.) While many may argue whether there is a danger to the fabric of our society in redefining marriage, especially when it comes to educating our children, I BELIEVE IT IS FAR MORE DANGEROUS TO OUR SOCIETY TO DISREGARD THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE, AND TO UNDERMINE THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS THAT IS THE FOUNDATION OF AMERICAN SOCIETY.

What a great schedule! I am so happy for Mike's success. He deserves it and we need a leader out there speaking out for conservative values - without being harsh and off putting to the moderates. (We'll always be off putting to the liberals!) Keep it up, Mike!
Thank you team for keeping us informed. I am always looking to see when he is speaking. -
