    Deborah,

I actually don't think these people believe in Satan either. So, they're not really following him, nor are they "Satan-lovers". They're just living their lives without believing in higher powers.

And, Hagan going to the guys house doesn't validate their point. So, you mean to tell me that because she went there that their message is somehow more correct?

Don't you think this sort of press is actually good for them? Before this ad, I had no idea such a pac even existed b/c they've had such little exposure.....now that's not true. I would say this ad helped them much, much more than it hurt them and probably did more to validate their existence than Hagan going to some fundraiser.

It mirrors the presidential race as well. They've tried to bring up the Ayers and Wright thing and use that against Obama, but it's not working. I guess if you really think Obama wants to bomb America bc he served on a committee with Ayers, then that's your perogative. But, most Americans don't and that's why McCain is so far behind.... No one wants the fearmongering stuff Republicans have been bringing up.

Sure, it upsets you, but you were never going to vote for a democrat anyway, and it doesn't upset independents and just makes McCain look bad. Say what you want about me, that's fine, but the fact is they are losing elections because of tactics like this one. That can't be disputed. Why did Dole take a hit in the polls after putting that ad out there if what I'm saying isn't true?

Sadly, because I agree with your points, I am the real one here and you are not. If it were the other way around, then Republicans would be in a lot better shape.

    Brian Snow,

I just watched the link you provided and it seems to have verified the report from CNN. (they stated that 2-3 conservative Supreme Court Justices appointments could overturn Roe vs. Wade) Barack Obama stated in his own words that Roe vs. Wade hangs in the balance of this election. We finally have the chance to stop abortion. I hope we don't throw it away.

Going to somebody's house does validate the homeowner's radical beliefs.

You won't catch me hanging out with anyone in the "Godless" movement.

It is shocking that anyone would go to church every Sunday and then hold out their hand for cash from a Satan-lover!

You are either following God or Satan!

I'm glad that finally someone like Elizabeth Dole called Kay Hagan out!

FoxNews is reporting that Joe Biden is drawing crowds of 600 and Sarah Palin is drawing crowds of 20,000.

The McCain campaign has reported that their internal polls show extreme tightening in the race, and they feel very competitive.

McCain will campaign in 7 states Monday and Palin will campaign in 6.

I just saw the Greta Van Susteren interview with the Palin family in the bus with the pumpkins. Very precious.

Obama may be campaigning in lots of states (not because he has more money) but because the polls are getting close, and he can't seem to stay at 50% of the vote, as he is falling in the polls and McCain is climbing.

The McCain camp is very excited and feeling the momentum. We need to trust God that his angels are with us and will pull out a victory with God's help.

If you can, please go out and vote Saturday or Sunday or Monday at your county board of elections. If you vote on Tuesday, do not wait until after work, but go vote at 6 or 7 am or take the morning off to get it done right away.

Montgomery County, OH early voting hours:

    Sat. Nov. 1 - 7 am - 7:30 pm
    Sun. Nov. 2 - Noon - 7:30 pm
    Mon. Nov. 3 - 7 am - 7:30 pm

and the address is 451 W. 3rd St., Dayton, Ohio (downtown).

Expect a higher turnout than normal!

This ad is pretty tasteless and loosely ties Hagan in with a, imo, despicable group. But, going to someone's house that is in the group doesn't mean she is Godless or believes in everything they do. I mean, have none of you ever been to a democrats house? Should I call you all socialists then? It's the entire "guilt by association" nonsense the GOP has been using, innefectively I might add, throughout the campaigns. It is fearmongering at its worst. And, as has already been pointed out, Dole has lost ground because of this. People see right through this, thankfully.

I supported Huckabee strongly during the primaries. Mostly because he had brilliant ideas and a great platform. But, also because he was an honest and decent man who treated others with respect and the courtesy that every human being deserves.

I've been largely out of touch since the campaign ended because, well, I don't want to be spoon fed John McCain. And, FoxNews is about as worthless of a news organization as I've ever seen. It was apparent with the lack of respect that was shown Gov. Huckabee during the primaries. Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, etc are nothing but talking nitwits who, imo, turned on Mike for this brilliant line: "I won't let the needs of Wall Street Republicans trump those of Wal Mart Republicans." I don't blame Huck for taking a job there though because, let's be honest, we all need to make money and that would have been a dumb move to turn that down. But, a little respect during the primaries would have gone a long way...espeically in the early going and states like SC and FL.

Anyway, I come to check up on things, and see this tasteless ad up being used to support Dole? What happened to the decency? Politics as usual, I guess. Meh.

I can understand your point of view.

However, I do not agree that Christians should hang out with known atheists.

Barack Obama has hung out with numerous terrorists, and I believe this shows a lack of judgment and a sympathy for a radical agenda.

This makes me distrust that Obama will protect our country and that he will side with the Palestinians and not protect Israel.

Yes, I agree that we need to share our faith with nonbelievers, but not by hanging out with them at fundraisers and helping their cause.

I don't know Kay Hagan personally, but it is my judgment that the Democrats tend to be nominal Christians.

When individual Democrats realize how far left their party is drifting, they tend to cross over to the Republican side, especially born-again, fundamental, evangelical believers who take the Bible literally.

I don't mean to offend anyone whose faith is not that solid, but if you go too far to the edge of that far left cliff, you will eventually fall off.

I would rather be safe than sorry.

Lois F: No disrespect meant, but atheists ARE less American than other Americans in the statistical sense that they are the exception that proves the rule. Atheists are protected by the same Constitution as other Americans because there are so few of them. If they began to grow in number so as to pose a threat to the mainstream culture that is religious, the laws would be re-engineered, because no society can long endure without a religious tradition to undergird its moral fabric. Historically, those societies that tried to function without religion have always gone down the drain. Think about it.

    Deborah,

The problem with the ad is that Hagan actually didn't attend a Godless America Fundraiser, didn't go to their meetings and didn't take money from Godless America PAC.

She DID attend a fundraiser for a group called ACTBlue (not a great group ... but also not Godless America). It was held at the house of a person who is on the advisory board of Godless America PAC, but he claims it's just a title and he doesn't do any work.

Maybe there is more that the NRSC and Dole campaign aren't sharing ... but that is an awfully extenuating link.

I'm very disappointed in the ad ... and frankly see it as being counterproductive for Dole's cause ... she's dropped in the polls the last few days.

I am still voting for Dole, because I want one more vote to support GOP filibusters ... but I wish this ad had never run ... and I don't think it's an ad Christians should support.

After all ... look at the folks Christ hung out with ... maybe the problem is that MORE Christians aren't hanging out with the folks in the Godless America PAC.

As long as we are pontificating on tapes being released, I believe there are 32 propaganda tapes made for North Vietnam a while back being kept from the American people. Has any candidate called for our government to release them? I can't blame Mac for making the films, as I would have probably failed under torture as well - But then I don't deserve nor seek to be your president. I only say this to point out the absurdity of it all. However, I must close with the following:
My Uncle died a P.O.W. and never gave aid or comfort or made propaganda films for the enemy. Sadly, he will never be president either.
If this gets posted, I will consider it a tribute to the fearless presentation of alternate opinions on this site. If not, I take comfort that at least the person censoring has read it and can think hard and long about what I have said.

    LOIS F -

You are quite right that we do have freedom of choice in this country with regard to religion. We also have freedom of choice within parameters, for whom we cast a vote using the criteria any one of us chooses to use. No candidate is compelled to have a faith, or required to express a faith - this is solely a candidate's decision.

Just as a pragmatic issue, if a candidate feels religion and faith is an important expression of their character, and is also an important concern for their constituency, doesn't the candidate and voters have a protected constitutional right to express themselves?

Lois, I believe you have every right to be an atheist and be recognized as a patriotic American, just as much as anyone has to be a Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, etc. However, I believe censoring candidates on their faith would be unconstitutional and strip them of their rights of free expression and freedom of religion - the same rights you wish to have for yourself as an atheist. I would hope that you would be as open and understanding of others rights as you wish to have for yourself.

  • Judge Deborah

I don't think the problem was that Hagan took money from an atheist. I think it was because she went to the atheist group meetings and hung out with the atheist group.

I would not take money from a group called "Godless Americans". No true Christian would have anything to do with a group like this.

Kay Hagan attended a fundraiser by the atheist group "Godless Americans."

Elizabeth Dole has the responsiblity to protect "In God We Trust" in our American Pledge of Allegiance and to protect "In God We Trust" on our money.

The State of Ohio motto is "With God All Things Are Possible."

Sharon in NC, why would you regret donating to Elizabeth Dole's campaign or votiing for her?

    Lois F.

Freedom "of" religion is NOT freedom "from" religion.

Our country was founded by mostly Christians who read 5-10 chapters of the Bible every day.

These government leaders had their Congressional meetings and then had prayer and church meetings in the same room.

They quoted the Bible in every 3rd sentence and expected high standards and good behavior, especially of their leaders.

Many of them were pastors, and many of them started Christian colleges. In fact, most of today's colleges began as Christian colleges, including Harvard & Princeton.

Without their deep faith in God, we would not even have the freedom in America that we have enjoyed for over 200 years.

Richard Dawkins is mistaken. There is a God and he loves even you!

Even though there is no religious test for office, our founders expected that only moral and religious leaders who be in charge, especially Christians and people who followed the Bible.

90% of Americans believe in God and the Bible.

If 5% of Americans have a problem with that, they should not expect the majority of us to throw out all of our moral laws just to make a tiny fraction of the population happy.

William Blackstone, English jurist and professor who helped create the legal system in England upon which our legal system is based said, “No enactment of man can be considered law unless it conforms to the law of God.”

Atheism is anti-American and is not part of the heritage of our great country.

Alexis de Tocqueville came from France to America and visited our churches and said that America was great because of its people and its churches (not because of its government).

He said, “America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”

As an athiest, I am offended both by the ad and the response ad. We're supposed to have freedom of religion in this country, and that includes freedom *from* religion. How dare Dole insinuate that non-believers are any lesls American than believers, and how dare Hagen make a point, not of being for all people, regardless of belief-status, but of touting her faith? The U.S. Constitution states that there is not supposed to be any religious test for public office. When will that be a reality?

  • Moderation, Voice of

I agree wholeheartedly with SharonNC and I'm sorely disappointed that Mike H. is even associating his name with this deception!

I'm quite disappointed with this entire election cycle this year with so many distortions and lies that have be perpetrated from all sides. I guess we shouldn't be surprised that politicians distort the truth or simply lie to get our vote. I'm so sick hearing about "Joe the Plumber" who isn't a plumber, owes back taxes, earns $40K a year, and had no intention of buying a small business - that is until he's used his new celebrity status for all it's worth. We're treated like fools by these politicians and it's time we demand better than name calling and unsupported desperate assertions.

Let's face it, there's scam artists out there who are delighted to sell us, the unwitting public, their latest and hottest conspiracy theory to make a buck at our expense.

Politicians accuse their opponents of things they are guilty of themselves, if not worse. I like to withhold judgment until all the facts are in, and those who make accusations better be scrutinized as well. I believe spreading unsubstantiated rumors to ruin someone's reputation is a horrible sinful act to engage in and politicians and their "friends" do it all the time. It's one thing to have a suspicion but quite another to state or imply it as a fact.

Why anyone believes what a politician or campaign surrogate says is beyond me, especially when they are in the midst of a campaign. I never believe that any candidate is as wonderful as their supporters and campaign commercial try to suggest nor is their opponent the representative of the Devil incarnate. "Fear" seems to become the yardstick by which we measure the intensity of our commitment to purpose and anoint ourselves as soldiers justifying any means to thwart the campaign assisted growing image of the evil that's eternally lurking just beyond our reach.

While Exxon Mobil makes yet another U.S. record quarterly profit, while we continue to subsidize Big Oil with our taxpayer money, I have to wonder where the "conservative" politicians are who scream against "spreading the wealth" as all of our pockets are picked to spread the wealth upwards! I don't believe our socialist leaning tax policy of subsidizing corporations that already make huge profits will change, even under the Fair Tax. Fair Tax only deals with how our government collects revenue, and not how the government spends our money.

I'm one who is looking forward to Guy Fawkes Day, when our elections are finally over!!

I don't know if anyone else found the same thing but when I click on the clip above it says "sorry this film is no longer available."

I think I saw some of it on TV. I think this group is probably voting more for the Dem. Party then for this person. Now if someone has a film of this person socializing with this group in agreement then that would be something to beware of. This group or one like it could contribute to Huckabee's campaign, should we then say he is one of them? Now if he spoke at one of their dinners in agreement with them then I would think something of it. I just don't see him doing that though.

L.A. Times has a tape of Obama that they will not release. Now I think the fact that Obama won't call for that tape to be released speaks volumes. If there wasn't anything to it it would clear him and that would be the end of it. By Obama not demanding that the L.A. Times release that tape he is telling everyone he is quilty as charged. So im ny opinion Obama is hurting himself if there isn't anything in that tape that he doesn't want us to see.

Look at what has happened to Joe the Plumer. He just asked a question and Obama's supporters and the media thought it justified to expose this man's privacy. That's no ones business but Obama is running for President and we DO have a right to know everything about him. Obama's associations would prevent him from being an FBI or CIA agent but here he is running for President, Commander and Chief of our armed forces, of the U.S.A. Go figure! My! My! My!

    God bless and protect America!

    Moore, Gideon

The voice at the end has changed since the first time I heard it. The words 'There is no God' were choppy and pieced together. I've heard hundreds, if not thousands, of ads with Hagans voice.

But showing Hagans face with a woman saying 'there is no God' is despicable. Dole could have pointed out that Hagan took money from members of that PAC without stooping that low.

This is why people don't get actively involved in politics. I now regret the vote I gave Dole last week, and I certainly regret the money I gave to her campaign.

I'm certainly disenchanted that a seemingly good woman(Dole) would abandon all principles to win at any cost.

Megyn Kelly of Fox just spoke on this today; concerning untraceable prepaid credit card donations. They can come from anywhere, not just these United States and can come from whomever. It appears that one party tries to follow the rules on donations but not Obama's. Why of course not !! No wonder .... he has the money he has. ...... oh! ..... What a trusting president he would be! Why is this story not on Page One? (It’s in small print on the Post’s home page: "Obama Accepting Untraceable Prepaid Credit Cards.") Maybe he would rather not have it but on the other hand he is happy if he is having a positive affect on the Republican campaign.

He says that he doesn't know anything about being a Country Western singer .... unless people are tone-deaf.

He also really went after Barack for not leveling with the American people ..... not turning over that tape that the LA Times is holding. ........ Joe said .... "that they dug into his past .... and know everything about him ..... so why isn't Obama coming clean with his past .... Americans have a right to know"

    I agree Joe.

On Christmas Eve, December 24, 1968 the Apollo 8 crew read this bible verse to billions of humans on Earth.

They read this as they just broke away from the dark side of the moon and coming into sight of the beautiful blue planet we call Earth.

Americans we can be proud of who held the sanctity of life on Earth so important as to remind all of us on Earth how much we should be trusting in God.

    William Anders
"We are now approaching lunar sunrise and, for all the people back on Earth, the crew of Apollo 8 has a message that we would like to send to you.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

    Jim Lovell
"And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

    Frank Borman
"And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

And from the crew of Apollo 8, we close with good night, good luck, a Merry Christmas – and God bless all of you, all of you on the good Earth."

Let us not get tired, keep your strength up as the liberals try to take away American history of God, Sanctity of Life and Merry Christmas from our foundations.

    Stunning – YES.

More than that, this is incredibly heartbreaking to watch.

Our response to this should be prayer.

Pray that they learn and believe the truth. When they respond with ridicule, pray again and again.

As GOD-FULL AMERICANS pray for these people.

SharonNC has a point. The beliefs of this Godless Americans group is deeply troubling.

However, Kay Hagan is a active in her church and has been for 17 years, and I wouldn't want someone questioning Huckabee's faith just because he took money from an Atheist.

SharonNC, I do need to correct you on one point, they did not splice together parts of Hagan speeches. It is actually a quote from the leader of the Godless America PAC. The NRSC ad (above) attributed the quote ... the Dole ad didn't.

I found this on The Drudge Report. It is an article from the London Times. It says that Barack Obama's aunt (Kenyan) was recently found living in a run-down HOUSING PROJECT in Boston... just miles away from where he went to Harvard.

Obama's uncle was evicted from his one-bedroom apartment due to owing approximately $2,300 in back rent.

I guess this whole thing about "spreading the wealth around is good for everybody" doesn't apply to The One.

If the URL link doesn't work, just do a Google search for the words Obama + aunt + Boston.

Question: How do you convert a liberal?

Answer: Make him move out of his parents' house and get a job.

    Mary Brock,

I sent the LA Times an email that stated:
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

I told them if they were old enough to remember that phrase, then they are old enough to understand it.

    Thanks for posting the address.

    Important so re-posting.

    Hi Huck Team,

Let's tell the LA Times we want them to release video of Obama toasting a PLO activist. The newspaper's editors say it shows Barack Obama praising a Chicago professor who served as a spokesman for the Palestine Liberation Organization when it was a U.S.-designated terror group!!!

Tell the LA Times What You Think by e-mailing the paper's "readers' representative," Jamie Gold, at readers.rep@latimes.com or click here to fill out a feedback form. Or call to leave a message with Gold at (877) 554-4000.

I called Jamie Gold and told her that I understand how normally they need to respect their source ;however, this really is a matter National Security. The American people really should know what is on this tape.

yea, I watched the movie Expelled this past weekend and you can tell that evil is behind blinding people and then fills them with hate.
About Watching Expelled, I did not know that a single living cell was so sophisticated, like hitting a slot machine 200 in a row, What makes more sense and easier to believe, and they think we are the stupid ones?
