Bill is passionate about bringing greater accountability to government. It has been his priority since he first ran for Rockledge City Council in 1976 and he has carried that through as both a State representative and State Senator.

The first three things Bill Posey wants to do if elected:

3) This is a tie - reduce the tax burden for all Americans and build the fence to secure our borders.

Hello Friend,
We did it!!
After nine months filled with a lot of hard work, stamped letters, phone calls and sign waving, the voters of District 15 have selected me as their Representative to Congress.
I am truly humbled by the results of this election. I would like to thank my family, my campaign staff, the voters of this district, and, most importantly, our tireless volunteers. This was a tremendous effort that can only be done with the help of others. THANK YOU!
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my opponents – Dr. Stephen Blythe, Trevor Lowing, and Frank Zilaitis.
It was a pleasure campaigning with these gentlemen. Their enthusiasm and passion for the issues shaped the political discussion and I enjoyed the very lively campaign.
I’ve said this many times, but I feel everyone should run for office at least once in their life.
It is an incredible experience, you learn so much, and you are most certainly the better for it.
Today is not the end of the campaign, but the beginning of a new chapter.
I now look forward to serving with all the members of Congress – both new and old, Republican and Democrat – just as I did in Tallahassee.
I vow to stand on the same principles that have always guided me to best represent the people of District 15 and all Americans.
Once again, my sincerest thank you goes out to all of our supporters.

Jill, thank you for your encouragement.
I sent e-mails to local papers about the vandalism--and about the stolen yard signs.
Then the Lord led me to Ephesians 2 and to begin praying for those who are "sons of disobedience".
Many years ago we lived on a property which included a small gully where for some reason animals chose for their place to die. A few times, we simply found them too late to move them (sorry, this is a little icky). It struck me that it would be just as foolish to fuss at the dead animals about all they were doing to make life around them unpleasant as it is to deplore the actions of lost people who are dead in sin.
They need to know Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life--the behaviour change will follow.
So that's how I'm praying for them--that God will grant them Life in His Son.
But I had to work through some anger to get to where I could do that. My pastor and his family are such dear people. And I feel responsible.

Many are jumping on board to vote for McCain because they now understand what price we will pay and what we will lose if Obama is elected. I don't think it will be a pretty picture if Obama loses because I don't think he will take to it too kindly ..... but you just better not hope he gets elected.
Deborah and Steve Goff spelled it out very well .... if that does not cause the hair on your head to stand up ..... then maybe you are bald or half dead.
Someone said that Obama makes Bill Clinton look like George Washington ..... then I think we will definitely be okay with John McCain. If you are willing to risk it .... then are your children or grandchildren? ....... Do the right thing for them !!
Americans should be coming out in droves to vote for McCain..... This is NOT just any other election ....... All of the negatives of Obama have been repeated over and over again on here ..... so we can never declare ignorance.

Gov. Huckabee would also try to be generous and non-partisan, but Mike Huckabee would also do a much better job of explaining Obama's weaknesses and downside.

How will we turn America back to being an honorable nation? We must have good leaders!
Today's Proverbs 11 includes many good verses about how important it is for the people of a city (and I think a nation) to elect righteous or upright leaders.
I think the four things that Bill Posey stands for are very important.
Financial accountibility of our government: "Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is His delight." (Proverbs 11:1)
Energy Independance of our nation: "There is one who witholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty." (Proverbs 11:24)Reducing the tax burden and securing our borders: "He who trusts in riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage." (Proverbs 11:28)
Like today's Proverbs (Chapter 11 for Oct 11) tells us, being honest and wise in our use of money, whether as a government or as individuals, will bring blessing and help us to find financial security, meet the needs of our families, and also help our neighbors.
We need legislators in congress and other government leaders who understand the principles of being financially responsible and using what God has given us to wisely take care of our families.
The greed of Wall Street, politicians, and some banks, which is so evident now, shows we have been unwise. Those legislators who have "milked the system" for themselves are also acting reprehensibly. They hold much of the blame for misusing and abusing the trust we gave them.
About the illegal immigration issue: I believe far too little has been said about the dishonesty of politicians who encourage people who are here illegally to vote, using fake Social Security numbers, stealing from our welfare system, and trying to get homes without paying for them. I heard that over 5,000,000 bad loans like those that have brought down Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac were given to illegals who had no address, little or no income, and no Social Security numbers (or fake ones).
This is a big part of why we are suffering so as a country. Let immigrants come here legally or not at all.

Gov. Palin broke no laws. She has the highest approval rating of all 50 U.S. governors.
Most of the commentators have said today on both sides that this is a non-issue, unless McCain loses and then Palin may take some flack in Alaska, but it should not affect the McCain Campaign since no laws were broken.
Most of the public is sympathising with the Palins and wondering why anyone would try to protect this police office who tasered his 10 year old son, who drove drunk in a patrol car and who threatened to kill Gov. Palin's dear sweet precious father who we saw at the GOP convention.
The campaign will go on.

So sorry to hear about your Pastor. That is a shame that one cannot even voice or display their opinions without being threatened. I know that you must feel sad about this. I put out my yard sign as soon as I got it several days ago. The thought always comes to mind .... will it be there tomorrow...... If and a Big IF Obama was to lose this election, I don't think some would handle it well at all.

I also heard the news concerning Sarah Palin, and yes, she will continue to run for vp, and no, I don't they are going to do anything.
Personally, I think all it means is that now the mainstream media will have something to report since they are not reporting anything on Obama--not even about ACORN.

A sad story--I got my pastor a McCain yard sign--kind of talked him into displaying it. I gave it to him at Wednesday's prayer/business meeting.Last night (Thursday) somebody went through his neighborhood breaking car windows out in front of houses posting McCain signs. He has to replace windows on two cars.
My pastor is not a wealthy man, to say the least. I'm just heartsick.
I WILL NOT SAY this is typical of Obama supporters I will do my best not even to THINK it is. But we aren't seeing voter fraud on the McCain side.
We can't give any more money this month--my beloved spouse did gently chide my over-budget PAC expenditures just this morning. So today I signed up for 24 hours of telephone volunteer work for McCain/Palin.
So far, here's how my 40 hour goal looks:
