One Month to Go

Greetings, Team—

We are one month from the elections and as of today, the poll numbers indicate we have our work cut out for us.  Americans are angry.  VERY ANGRY.  The recent bailout controversy has only stirred the seething rage that is bubbling up among taxpayers.

The sad thing about voter anger is that it’s misdirected.  While there is plenty of blame and fault to go around for both parties, there really is hard evidence that John McCain tried in vain to get attention focused on the totally absurd lending practices of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that are at the heart of the meltdown.  Barack Obama is the second highest recipient of political cash from the big bosses of these entities, and his chief economic advisor Franklin Raines took over $90 million in bonuses from Fannie Mae.  That’s right---$90 MILLION.  Do you really think that Barack Obama will lead “reform” of a system that he has helped grease?

His radical views on when life begins and his priority of protecting abortion rights over the right to life for the unborn are beyond most of even the most extreme leftists.  His work with ACORN, a radical political organization is especially noteworthy in light of the fact that ACORN received over $760 million in “fees” from banks to help push people into “N.I.N.J.A. loans.”  (These are loans made to people with No Income; No Job; and No Assets, thus NINJA loans.)

Imagine Obama as President and Democrats holding majorities in the House and with a possible 60 vote margin Senate.

Goodbye, 2nd amendment rights.

Goodbye, protection for the unborn.

Goodbye, tax breaks.

Goodbye, diligence against state sponsored terrorism from rogue governments like Iran, North Korea, and others.

Goodbye, parental rights as a fundamental right to not be supplanted by the government.

Goodbye, holding traditional marriage as one man, one woman for life.

I’m not ready to accept that.

I want you to join me in the final 30 days to push forward with Huck PAC candidates, starting with John McCain and Sarah Palin, down to those running for the state legislature to stand for something.  Stand for life, for marriage, for the Fair Tax, for our 2
nd amendment rights, Fight for the pre-eminent role of mothers and fathers in raising their children, for lower taxes, for controls on government spending, and Demand an end to the disgusting corruption of Washington that led to this massive economic meltdown.

We want to ask all our HuckPAC supporters to consider giving at least $5 for each of these 5 reasons that this election is important:

1.  Protection of Human Life

2.  Traditional Marriage

3.  Tax policy that doesn't punish people for working, but rewards them

4.  2nd amendment rights

5.  Supreme Court and Federal Court judge selection

That would be a $25 contribution recognizing the importance of these issues.  Hey, you might have 3 or 4 other issues so feel free to add $15 or $20 if you like !

Naturally, expenses during the month of October are the heaviest we’ll have this year due to the proximity of the elections, but this is the most important appeal we’ll have this year.  I hope we can count on you today!

Fighting to the end,

Mike Huckabee

P.S. Over the next 28 days I am going to be releasing journal entries, favorite pictures and videos from the past year and a half of my journeys and voyages across this great country. In order for Huck PAC to release these special moments, we must reach 100 contributions each day for a grand total of 2800 contributions for the next 28 days. These 100 pledges of support each day will show the pundits, the left and the country that the conservative movement is poised to take this election and preparing to continue our momentum into 2010.

It's great to know there are people out there all over the country encouraging us!

Sometimes it seems like there are 20 people on this website, and other times, certain subjects fire everybody up and bring a lot of us out of the woodworks!

I just wish Gov. Huckabee could get Sen. McCain to quit defending Sen. Obama.

Today McCain was saying that Obama isn't frightening and that he's a nice person and that he would appoint OK people to the Supreme Court.

    That makes me really nervous.

Hopefully Stephen Colbert can make some sense of all of this on HUCKABEE tomorrow night at 8 pm on FoxNews!

    Hey Deborah,

Some of us do more reading than posting. I'm sure there are a lot of us who check in every day, but don't have anything to add.

I enjoy reading posts of the smart, articulate, and thoughtful people who post here at Huckpac. I'm out of my league. ;-)

Deborah, I think many HuckPACkes are praying with you that the revelations of voter fraud are not just revelations, but they signal a cancellation of the fraudulent votes and voter registrations.

In one of Governor Huckabee's books he lists steps to take to "stop"--and in the "stop being cynical chapter, one step is to read the Bible more and blog less. Maybe HuckPACkers are taking his advice to heart; maybe we are busy working on local campaigns to elect HuckPAC candidates and vertically-inclined local people.

(I have no room to boast on either count.)

But you are right, it is pretty quiet here. Thank you for your untiring vigilance. I'm praying the Lord will guide you into just the right employment for you.

Are you going to make autographed copies of your book available here? I'd like to have one, but will have to wait until after November to make any purchases.

It's pretty quiet here. Is everything OK with HuckPAC?

    Must be really busy!

I went to our Toastmasters public speaking meeting tonight, and everyone is really scared about Obama.

The more we learn the more frightened we are. They said they hoped this is all a nightmare and we will wake up and it was all a big dream.

I'm praying that all of the Acorn votes get disqualified.

They even suggested at the meeting tonight that Pres. Bush should declare martial law and postpone the election until the economic crisis is over to prevent Obama from getting elected.

I think Obama should step down and be disqualified. He is not am American. He is a Kenyan Muslim Terrorist

Why are we funding Acorn anyway?

To me it is essential to look at this election in the broader context of what America's challenges truly are:

    1. Emminent Economic Collapse

    2. A hostile Russia who has just recently
invaded a NATO country, threatened to
nuke Poland, and is setting up shop in
    international terriotory in order to
    capitalize on oil.

    3. A nuclear Iran that has threatened to start
another Holocaust with the full backing of
    Russia.

    4. The ever-persistant threat of terrorists
are seeking weapons of mass destruction.

To merely chalk these challenges up to unjustified fear and to claim that weighing the decision out in regard who will be facing these challanges is nothing more than a lack of faith is to not have a proper understanding of the challenges this country faces. I say this as respectfully as I can. God has given us free will and he expects us to stand on his principles--but he has also given us the ability to reason--so let us reason together.

If we use our vote as a protest during this election while our country faces these monumental challenges the ramifications could be uncalculable.

My duty as a child of God and an American voter is to vote for the man that will best address the issues that our country currently faces. I don't agree with everything that McCain says, but the negatives of voting for him do not outweigh the positives of not voting for him. This is the logical course of action to take.

McCain has to keep the economy up front--Obama's associations with the fraudulent Acorn and his connection to the Democratic congress should be enough to destroy him on the economy, but McCain has to hammer away on him relenltlessly. He also needs to address the issues abortion, gun control, and the indoctrination of our children with liberal philosophies.

America is definately under assuault, and for the life of me, I can't understand why many intelligent people do not seem to see it. Do we really have any more doubts about Obama after his associations with Acorn? People are expressing clear anger over McCain not doing what it takes to win--and that is taking the fight to Obama on EVERY issue that is relevant--from his radical associations to his economic stances.

It looks like a large portion of the conservative base is beginning to speak--and they feel that these issues are relevant. McCain was wrong for not addressing these radical associations from the beginning--as was the media--but they had two different motives. The media is biased towards Obama and has been trying to hide the associations while McCain is afraid that bringing them up will spark unjustified racial allegations that put a cloud over his campaign or drive away independents.

McCain is wrong for not addressing the issue of Rev Wright, Michael Phleger, Rashid Caliti, and Kalid Al Monsur--these are not just associations--Kaliti was the spokesman for the PLO--Obama has dispersed money to this man through Ayers radical association and has given creedence to his anti-semitic philosohpies. Al Monsur--paid for Obama's education--famous anti-Semite--called for mutilation of white people and the destruction of Israel. THESE ARE MORE THAN JUST MERE ASSOCIATIONS.

To claim that these connections are not relevent to Obama's qualifications or elegibility is to not have a firm grasp of the threat that these associations truly pose.

Lets let the American people decide what is right and wrong in regard to the issues--I'm willing to bet that they will speak overwhelmingly on election day.

It has been raining here all day. That is a fact. If several of us here at work had been standing looking out the glass at the rain, and everybody else said, "it's not raining", I might blink and look a little closer for a second but I would still know it was raining,. Thats the best way I know how to describe how I felt when these "experts" say Obama won the debate this week over MCCain. Obama did not even obey the rules he had agreed to. Anybody notice that? Those Wisconsins were really mad today. They got McCain fired up and told him he needed to start naming the Democratic names of the people who caused this financial mess and are leading us into socialism. They told him he needed to go after the Democrats!

McCain said that Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank who he could go after once he is President. Woooweee! Does that mean we will have Senate Hearings and make Dodd and Frank have to answer for driving the American economy into the Ditch with Freddie and Fannie?

The government's planned buy-out of 800 of our banks is a great concern to me. The bailout could be debatable to a certain degree--but in my opinion they have definately overstepped their bounds. 800 billion for the buyout, 85 billion to AIG plus and additional 35 billion has put us close to 900 billion and soon we will be at a trillion.

What happens if the amount of money needed to "sustian" our economy outweighs the amount of money coming in from taxes? We all know what that means: more foreign debt to countries like China. We haven't seen any results from the bailout--just a continual decline in our economy--so why would our government continue to buy up free-market businesses if their first plan hasn't come to fruition? The economic "buyout" has offically become an excuse for the government to buy out free-market businesses. We are watching our government gradually and sytematically take over our free market. At some point the government intervention is going to have to stop. Wasn't government intrusion one of the factors that caused this mess in the first place? It seems to me that we should be able to put together our nation's most brilliant economic minds in a bipartisan attempt to find a solution to this problem. I'm not an economic expert, but I understand that the economy operates in cycles. At some point we are going to have to ride out the wave and let the chips fall where they may. We don't need to government assuming control of our free-market.

    Lori,

What I was getting at is that most Republicans don't believe in Global Warming and many of them are conservative Christians.

If we elect a conservative Republican majority in the House and Senate, they will talk Pres. McCain out of going after global warming initiatives.

Sen. McCain said last night that he is willing to go to Alaska and take a look, and see some snowmaching and consider drilling in Anwar.

There is no question about it.

Obama is a Muslim, cousins of Kenyan terrorists & the FACE of FACIST SOCIALISM.

I was listening to Gov. Palin & Sen. McCain today and it sounded like they did not clarify 2 questions from the audience very well today so I sent them this email.

    johnmccain@gop.com
    rickdavis@mccain08.com

    Gov. Sarah Palin:
    http://gov.state.ak.us/govmail.php

    Sen. McCain & Governor Palin,

I was listening to you take questions from the crowd today, which was very good!

I think you misunderstood the "Hate Crimes" comment as it relates to free speech. You said you will prosecute to the full extent of the law.

What Christians are getting at is "Hate Crimes" legislation will not permit pastors or Christians to preach the Bible or teach what the Scriptures say about how homosexuality is evil and not good, but will instead throw Christians and pastors in jail for preaching what the Bible says about homosexuality.

The Bible calls homosexuality despicable and against God's will. That's why God brought down molten lava and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

Your answer today did not reassure Christians that you will protect their free speech rights.

Please talk to Dr. James Dobson or Mike Huckabee or Pastor Rick Warren so that you can understand this issue and clarify it!

    *******************************
    Also on Health Care:

Please clarify that you are NOT going to tax our employers who are providing our health care.

We only want a $5,000 tax credit if we so choose to purchase our own health care.

If you tax our employers, they will stop providing the health care that is a benefit that is offered to employees by corporations as part of their benefits package when they are being hired. Please ask Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman to help you clarify this.

    Thanks!

    Deborah,

The truth is Global Warming is a Huge SCAM. Do you know why now Republicans are pushing this SMOKESCREEN as well? Because it is an excuse for next new form of taxation that they are going to rob us with. The UN's CARBON TAX is coming if we let these politicians keep transforming the American people into believing this FRAUDULENT argument called Global Warming.

See the FACTS and a petition that over 31,000 of our nation's scientists have signed over the last several years. PLEASE do not fall for their next way to FLEECE America!!!

Take a look at the petition, actually a dramatic DECREASE in greenhouse gases is what would REALLY be dangerous!

    http://www.petitionproject.org/

Most Republicans used to know that Global Warming was always a Scam. Now McCain totes it as reality and so the whole party all of a sudden is forgetting the truth???? Gee whiz, Give Me A Break???

Let us get real folks. I am serious. Get real and help save our country from all of this deceptive fraud. Hint: Neither one of them are good guys, PERIOD.

Mike Huckabee taught us a lot in regard to his philosophy of vertical politics, but one of the most important lessons that we can learn from him is his lesson in character.

Mike Huckabee proved his Christian principles in his treatment of those who slandered and smeared him during this past election. I am of course speaking of the elite media. Mike's Christian principles in regard to his response can be summed up in one word: Forgiveness.

I think that we all can learn this valuable lesson from from Mr. Huckabee; with myself included on the top of the list.

I don't claim to be right about everything, but I am positive of one thing: God didn't gift His children with intelligence so they could use it to belittle others (I include myself in this category) and He certainly did not give us an understanding of His Word in order for us to humilate other beleivers.

If we present a philosophy that is based on Christian principles, while not applying the principles to our actions, then that belief is rendered invalid, because the foundation of those beliefs is non-existent.

    Gatchel, Nancy,
I'm With you, I will call Thursday. You never know they may listen to one of us.
Any way McCain said he wanted to clean up corruption in Washington, The Fair tax would defiantly help him do that.
Could you imagine the Dems. and Reps. not having the taxes to fuss over .

We just got to give them the reasons.
Lest we can say we tried.

What would the Fair Tax do.

Over 13 Trillion in tax shelters would no longer have to be sheltered and end up in US. banks backing loans and in stocks, plus some Currency from other nations would also end up in our banks to hide from their taxes.
    Economy? Problem solved!!
    imbalanced Trade ? problem solved!!
    Complicated tax system? Problem solved
Companies leaving the USA? Problem Solved
    Unemployment? Problem solved!!
over 13 Trillions in tax shelters!!! Problem Solved!!!
    Need capitol? Problem solved!!!
Investment in the USA!! problem solved!!!
This would help People with making house payments? Problem solved!!
Pork in bills for tax cuts for some? Problem Solved!!!
Imagine all the trees that would be saved by not having all them tax forms.
Everyone that hates filling out taxes becomes a potential vote.
Be like Every pay roll worker in America would get a raise.

Prebate check every month would be like a Stimulus checks.
Most important right now is getting confidents up and the Fair tax would do it more then anything else.
Can you believe one thing can cover all this.

Somehow, I don't think that would work out to our advavtage. Palin is not competition for Obama in the debate category. Nothing against her, but she is just not ready for that. It's amazing how the media can do their job when they want to do so. Watch this video of man-shrew Chris Matthews tearing into an Obama surrogate just a few months ago. Now that his party's primary is over, Matthews like most of his colleagues are stepping into line and following their marching orders.

Watch this video and ask yourself how Matthews could make such a striking point regarding primo-bama's lack of any legislative accomplishment or qualification, yet be so willing to carry Obama's water in the general election?

Re: the evidence that McCain tried to bring attention to the Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac problems back in in 2005.... can anyone provide us with a link to a news story, historical account, etc.? That would be most helpful! I would send it to 200 people today if I had some solid material to give 'em!

I think it would help for Americans to hear about it, because in my humble opinion, McCain badly bungled his response to the crisis these past two weeks. I don't know if this attempt at strategy was his own idea, or if he listened to some bad advice, but he came out looking halpless and helpless, and the Dems are making hay with it. Someone else on here posted a comment with which I agreed -- I wish McCain had come out AGAINST the bailout (especially since it didn't work and the Dow is still flailing), and then he would have looked like a maverick and friend of the American people at the same time.

I get a lot of e-mails, esp. political ones, and so far no one has forwarded me anything about McCain's role in trying to prevent this present disaster.

    Lori,

I just want you to know that I'm not trying to give you a hard time. I understand that the media and the GOP are controlling everything and it makes me angry also.

I think we should have a National Primary Day, and cut out the partisan endorsements, and let the people vote for who they want to. I think it would be better if everyone who was running for president was allowed to be in all the debates.

But apart from all that, Mike Huckabee campaigned for a whole year and almost pulled off an upset and won the Republican nomination.

What is really getting my goat today is that I am sick and tired of listening to lawyers lie and lie and lie. Who wants 2 litigators to run the White House anyway!

I am a highly skilled legal secretary who cannot find a job in a law office. The last thing I want to see are 2 ungodly attorneys who have no ethics and no conscience in the White House. (Don't get me wrong. There are a few fine Christian attorneys.)

Barack Obama is lying through his teeth and so is Joe Biden. They are palling around with terrorists and should be disqualified from running for office.

What is wrong with the morality of America that we are allowing this and that this race is even close?

At least John McCain has served his country in uniform for 22 years.

I want the FairTax NOW. If the TRILLIONS in offshore bank accounts came back home, we would be choosing the job of our dreams from a whole array of available positions.

I think that TAX ATTORNEYS and CONGRESSMEN should be the ONLY ones paying taxes.

If Obama and Biden like taxes so much, then LET THEM PAY ALL THE TAXES!

    Ms Obvious,

Nice to know that at least I have another one who understands my frustrations. I completely understand your husband leaving the room during debates. These days anyway! McCain could bloody Obama to a pulp and the best they could ever do is say it was a draw .... not sure they could even give him that anymore.

    Bless Elvis's heart. May he R. I. P.
I never used to understand him blowing out those TV's in those days .... but now I do.

I am giving $18.10 for 1 hour for you to make telephone calls for me Ms Obvious.

I do not have the extra minutes on my telephones to make calls. I got into trouble with my land-line phone company for making 2,000 calls during the Huckabee campaign .... It was suppose to be unlimited calling at anytime for one flat rate so thought it was acceptable ..... they thought I was doing telemarketing ....

May God bless you with your calling !!

    Mike will unite,
Consider this. What are all our other options right now? Certainly not Obama. Is there an independent we like that can garner enough votes to overcome both McCain and Obama? Rmember any votes away from McCain is a vote for Obama. Is it worth the risk?

    You said it all ! .... thank-you!

All of this relying upon how well someone debates as the "real" test for leadership. Hogwash! .... More attention to the three A's please: ACORN, AYERS and ALINSKY .... and that is just a warm-up for starters .......

YES, I trust and respect John McCain also. A SEASONED LEADER for these most difficult and perilous times in our Nation's history. NOT a time to be hiring a ROOKY !!

As frustrated as I am with the McCain campaign, I'm still going to vote for him.

I sent my brother the thumbnail Fair Tax page at the .org site. He LIKES IT! He has a critical eye and wants to know the downside.

He may show up here looking for answers. Those of you that are much more knowledgeable than I, please don't hesitate to give all info about the Fair Tax.

I'm a woman obsessed and I'm on a mission. I'm going to fight for Fair Tax with all I have.

It breaks my heart, literally, that I have no money to donate. I do have $8.00 and I'm thinking about sending a five through the mail. I will do all I can to get true conservatives elected.

Ohio 26th district - Vote for Congressman Jim Jordan! He voted no both times on the 700 billion dollar "rescue" bail out. Staunch conservative, socially and fiscally.

    Rayborn, Linda -

You're right. Sadly, many people are banking on Palin and/or Huckabee having some influence on McCain if he's in office.

My question is...how has that worked over the past 3 decades? I'm sorry you guys...it's only wishful thinking. McCain is McCain...a moderate/liberal maverick.

Who is best to Serve America is the issue!

It is not who won the debate last night and next Wednesday that counts
It is not who runs the best or dirtiest campaign to win the election that matters.

What good does it do for America if the person won the debate will make policies that ruin America’s freedom and prosperity for years to come?
What good does it do for America if the person who run the best or the dirtiest campaign will make decision that destroy our country best hope: Our children and children of the World?

We are so busy awaiting the next punch, the next ad, the next amazing moment in the debate that we forget: “This is not a boxing match or an ultimate fighting show!”

This is the vote for President of United States of America: the most powerful position on Earth as we know it today.

This is not a “30 day return guaranteed merchandise”. This is a 4 year term that will change everything, shape every policy and determine the future outcome of America and its many generations to come.

This person will sign into laws and make decisions that will affect America’s economy, national security, education, freedom and its influence to every corner on the Planet. So what is your choice for this important position?

For me the choice is clear: It is McCain

Now, McCain may have something I disagree with, but I trust and respect him.
(Did you see everyone tried to stand up when McCain came to shake their hand?
You see, respect is something you can not buy, you have to earn it!)
I respect McCain for his sacrifice and his wisdom in putting my country first
I believe McCain/Palin has my country’s best interest at heart, totally
I trust his judgments in making best economic policy to serve America
I know that he will protect America and its children to his best ability.

Now, for Ye Me Clueless Obama, all I see so far:
Affiliating with shady deals and domestic terrorists
Supporting Vote Fraud and teaching our children crimes
Deceiving the public with fancy words, false hope and fake change
Hiding behind bias and liberal front to condone Democrats’ corruptions and trickery
No conscience, do anything, anyhow, anywhere to win
Economic socialism and Energy reducing policy

Reverend Warren said: “This is not about YOU”
I might add “This is not about YOU: OBAMA”

Yes, this is not about Obama, and this is not about YOU either.
It is about America and its future; as such, we the American people, do have the responsibility and obligation to vote!

McCain has the responsibility and obligation to tell the Truth about Obama.
We, yes we, the American people, have the responsibility and obligation to vote as an American.
It is not about a vote for a person or a party, it is a vote for our country
It is not a thing to do on Nov. 4; it is the duty to do the right thing for our children
    So, America, go Vote
Vote as an American: Vote Country First

This Stock Market problem is too ill timed
not for this to have been planned 5 weeks before the elections.
It was NOT the Republicans that had
control of those banking committees on Capitol hill for the last 3 years.
Are they trying to have use believe
none of them new anything about this financial problem until this last week.

    Brian Snow,

You are right! But very few people are listening. They don't want to hear. The words "hope and change" sound so pretty. The Germans fell for it with Hitler, and now America is falling for it with Obama. Our only hope (as always) is God's mercy upon our land.
