I hope you saw the second show of “Huckabee” on the Fox News Channel with special guests Jon Voight, Neal Boortz, and our unusual guests---2 pigs named Hammy and Michael, as well as some real hockey moms from New Hampshire.
In the opening commentary I talked about the Congressional bailout with some pretty plain speaking. In television, there’s always the need to edit due to time, so you heard less than half of what I wrote. I wanted you to read the entire text—the unedited version. Let me know what you think about it. If you’ll be in New York on a Saturday, I hope you call 1-877-HUCKTIX to be part of the studio audience. Also let Fox know if you like the show. I’ll be on Hannity and Colmes this Wednesday night and we’ll be back both Saturday and Sunday at 8pm ET, 7pm CT this week for the next show.
Have a great week!
Mike Huckabee
This past week was mostly focused on the economy and what Congress was going to do to fix it. It was also the much anticipated Vice Presidential debate with “Jolting Joe” and “Sarah-Cuda” watched by almost 70 million people which is almost as many who are watching this show right now.
Members of Congress are busy congratulating themselves for the passage of the massive and staggering bailout of Wall Street, but the only cheers from most Americans is the Bronx cheer for the bodacious Beltway Bailers.
On behalf of the hard working American people, here’s my message to Congress:
We recognize that you felt compelled to “do something” but you wonder why we aren’t breaking our hands applauding you for it. Let me explain: Even the people who supported your $700 bailout did so only because they felt there was no other choice. Any congratulations you get will have to come from those really smart guys on Wall Street because outside your rarefied bubble of high priced air, the whole thing stinks.
For the most part, your bosses are not happy—I’m talking about your REAL bosses—the ones who struggle to pay for groceries and gasoline each week and the ones you ought to spend more time with. These folks are in fact, not just unhappy, but livid, furious, raging, and seething with contempt. The problem, we’re told, is with the regulators. Actually, that’s not true. The problem is that you failed to regulate the regulators….that was supposed to be your job, but you guys instead filled your campaign coffers with ready cash from the nice people at the big Wall Street houses and looked the other way while these starched collar crooks put hundreds of millions in their pockets and walked away obscenely rich and left the tab to the taxpayers.
I don’t resent that people make money. God bless those who do, as long as they do it honestly. But Franklin Raines piloted Fannie Mae right into the ground and walked away from the crash with $90 million cash. Nice work when you can get it…. Some retired teacher’s pension fund in Kansas went from comfortable to comical… You saved Freddie, but taxpayers are going to take it in the Fannie.
People are really, really mad, and I hope the anger carries to the ballot box. It’s time to make real changes in this country-- real restructuring of the systems that have led us to this economic free-fall.
Congress, the crisis is not in the credit market—it’s in the credibility market. And it’s YOUR credibility that’s in crisis… 47 million people are uninsured, but you haven’t fixed it because you are insured. Millions of Americans have seen their pension values drop to nothing, but you haven’t stopped it because your extraordinary pension is protected.
Instead of asking my future grandchildren to co-sign a $700 Billion note so you could convince yourselves that you had “fixed” this, you should have made some really bold decisions that might have actually addressed the root causes. Getting rid of capital gains taxes, changing the mark to market accounting rules that created some of the artificial devaluation of assets, and insuring bad loans instead of actually buying them are all ways that the situation would be addressed without such a huge risk. Instead we just are being asked to write a big fat check.
The high flying Wall Street wizards who wanted to make big profits in a hurry without assuming the responsibility of the risks are not unlike the teenager who gets addicted to drugs, but knows that his ever gullible parents will always be there to rescue him. They have become “bail-a-holics” and the government has become the ultimate co-dependents, enabling and empowering the recklessly irresponsible with the credit card you borrowed from us.
Well, this time, Americans are mad. Really mad. They might actually figure out that they DO have the power to do something. They can do what would happen to them if they simply didn’t do the job they were hired to do—they would be fired.
Maybe it’s time for some of you to experience what many Americans will experience because of you. Maybe some of you should lose your jobs in Congress and come home to live with the rest of us. Just don’t expect a big party to welcome you home. Neighbors can’t afford it. They’re just trying to pay off that big bailout you proudly voted for.

The AP digs into the thin claim that Raines is an Obama adviser:
Obama's campaign says Raines is not an Obama adviser and that McCain's campaign knows it because Raines said so in an e-mail earlier this week to Carly Fiorina, a top McCain adviser.
Obama's campaign provided The Associated Press with a copy of the e-mail.
"Carly: Is this true?"
Raines asks above a forwarded note informing him that Fiorina was on television saying he was an Obama housing adviser.
"I am not an adviser to the Obama campaign. Frank."
Obama's campaign says Fiorina did not respond.
McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said he was not aware of the e-mail to Fiorina, but noted that the Post reported on three occasions, between July 16 and Aug. 28, that Raines was advising Obama.
"If he was not advising, obviously someone somewhere along the way should have corrected the record," Rogers said.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said he has since asked the Post for a correction.
Burton said Obama only met Raines once briefly at an event, and that Raines sought an introductory meeting with Obama Senate aide Mike Strautmanis.
At that meeting, Burton said no advice was sought from or given by Raines, who also had served as President Clinton's budget director.

Are there any smart people in Washington? If the problem is housing market, then this needs to focus on fixing the lending groups. I am a simple minded woman but my take on this is that they should have made these lending companies work with people in foreclosure before they come running on the coat tail of the American Government. Foreclosures should be frozen by the government to stop the spread of this foreclosure crisis. Lenders tricked buyers into these adjustable loans and made them think they would adjust slowly. Then boom, they adjusted and people could not make the double, sometimes triple payments. I know that the people who signed on the dotted line are also to blame but some of them were probably so ignorant in finances, they didn't even know what they were signing, especially the first time buyers. Think about this. When you go to a closing of a home, they pass papers around like wildfire and you feel ridiculous if you take time to actually read what you are signing. Some of those folks who signed papers probably couldn't even read. I think a law should be passed to force counseling before closing and also a law should be passed to give the buyer the paperwork 48 hours before coming to closing so they can read what they are signing. A lot of these buyers were scammed by these lenders. It is also my feeling that interest rates on home loans should be the same for everyone and adjustable loans be outlawed. Adjustable loans just give the fat cats more money to live lavishly. Obviously, it wasn't used to take care of their organization and put it in the black. The government has a right to put restraints on banks if those banks choose to be insured by the FDIC. If you want to be a free market bank, then you should not be insured. You should be on your own. Why back someone who is going to make all this money, spend it, then come whining to the government.
This who thing sickens me

Just heard that Stephen Colbert is going to be a guest on "HUCKABEE" this weekend and that is fantastic!! Should be a huge ratings draw to a completely new demographic! I'm sure they will be hooked!! Still hoping for Donald Trump! Great to discuss the problems with the economy and he is always a ratings draw for both conservatives and liberals, as is Colbert.

No time to slack off
by MrArbitrageIt's amazing how the media can do their job when they want to do so. Watch this video of man-shrew Chris Matthews tearing into an Obama surrogate just a few months ago. Now that his party's primary is over, Matthews like most of his colleagues are stepping into line and following their marching orders.
Watch this video and ask yourself how Matthews could make such a striking point regarding primo-bama's lack of any legislative accomplishment or qualification, yet be so willing to carry Obama's water in the general election?

_KKE -I don't vote FOR someone, just because I'm afraid of his/her opponent (Evil is still evil. How much evil is ok? How much cyanide is ok for someone? Doesn't it still kill you?) I vote FOR someone because he/she is worth voting for. If I don't stand on my principles, what do I have left at the end of the day?
Thankfully, thousands of Americans are waking up and realizing that four years of Obama is worth taking back the Republican Party. (And please don't follow up by talking about appointing Supreme Court justices. Even if Roe v. Wade is overturned, the issue still goes back to the state...therefore, this is a non-issue and is only being used to scare people into voting for McCain, when we know in our guts, we can't trust McCain anyway.) If McCain gets in, then we can all say goodbye to the Republican Party as we know it. It will be unrecognizable should moderate/liberal McCain get into office.
And I never said I won't be voting on Nov. 4th. I always, always vote. There are many fine conservatives out there who will get my vote. McCain is not one of them.

Mr. Huckabee-
Thank you so much for your commentary on the bailout bill. These past few weeks I have become very fed up with the vast majority of my representatives. It is infuriating to hear them say that the only option was to have taxpayers foot the bill and push our nation into even greater debt. You were one of the few who stood up to the majority, spoke for the people and offered comprehensive alternatives.
Although many public officials and leaders have lost my support over the past few weeks, you have yet again proven to be a strong leader who stands up for American values and for the American people themselves.
Thank you again!

Dear HuckPACkers--
I want to give more money to HuckPAC, but can't right now. So I'm taking a cue from Brian Donegan "BDBopper" who is walking an extra mile to earn sponsorships.
Only I can't do that right now, either!! So I have set a goal of 40 volunteeer hours for GOP/HuckPAC candidates, and asking for sponsors at $18.10 per hour (That will total the $723.57 needed to meet my $1000 goal IF I actually do put in the 40 hours)
Today I volunteered four hours at county GOP HQ (seems McCain-Palin signs are in short supply everywhere--we may have to get out the posterboard and markers!) and then two hours at a HuckPAC candidate's phone bank.
Please use R23745! HuckPAC will benefit from your donation, and you and I will both feel GOOD about supporting Governor Huckabee's work. any amount. please????

This isn't the first time that you have taken portions of my comments out of the entirety of my statements and leaving out the dialogue of others that may have prompted me for what I am saying. It seems a little unfair to me .... I do not know why you are doing this and for what purpose?

God forbid, McCain dies in office.
Palin chooses Huckabee for VP.This was quoted from another poster here. I think Mike Huckabee is lucky he is not in this administration. He would not be doing himself any political favors by being second fiddle on that ticket or one with Palin leading it. He is in a key spot for 2012.... Excuse me while I go and turn the channel off of Fox. Mitt Romney is coming on and I don't want to see him.

A non-McCain vote is as much of a vote for Obama as if you stood at the booth and voted for Obama. McCain certainly isn't my first choice either, but there are times you need to vote for the lesser of two evils.
I encourage you to get off your high horse and look for ways to keep Obama out of office rather than sticking to a stubborn gun that makes no sense in the long run.
For those of you who aren't voting, standing on principle instead (e.g. you won't vote because not one of the candidates aligns with your values) are hurting this country. It is one thing to stand behind principle, but another to fail to recognize that principle, like pride, needs to be moved to the side before the fall.
As I said, I'm not rallying behind McCain because I agree with everything he says and does. However, failing to vote for him is giving Obama the keys to the White House. Then, so much for your principles...because Obama will shoot them all to the moon.

10/07/2008 04:01 PMSen. McCain has clarified his position on the life and marriage amendments.
He said that he prefers that these decisions go back to the states, but if the states decisions begin to affect other states, then he would be in favor of a Constitutional Amendment.
Yes, it's a fairly weak position, but it's better than it was before. Hopefully, Mike Huckabee can get McCain to be more supportive of the pro-life cause.

Maxine,
You made a very excellent point; also a good biblical reference.
I could create the scenario:
McCain and Palin ... get elected.
God forbid, McCain dies in office.
Palin chooses Huckabee for VP.This just now came to mind .... BUT, I don't entertain those kind of thoughts .... they do not usually materialize. Also, I am not sitting around waiting for anyone to die..... I pray "LIFE" for McCain ..... a long "LIFE" .... just like his Mother.
__________________________________________., Mike Will Unite,
I would never try to talk you out of your beliefs and convictions.....
This is McCain's stance on abortion and what I can relate to, opposed to Obama's extreme stance.
http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/issues/95b18512-d5b6-456e-90a2-12028d71df58.htm
John McCain believes Roe v. Wade is a flawed decision that must be overturned, and as president he will nominate judges who understand that courts should not be in the business of legislating from the bench.
Constitutional balance would be restored by the reversal of Roe v. Wade, returning the abortion question to the individual states. The difficult issue of abortion should not be decided by judicial fiat.
However, the reversal of Roe v. Wade represents only one step in the long path toward ending abortion. Once the question is returned to the states, the fight for life will be one of courage and compassion - the courage of a pregnant mother to bring her child into the world and the compassion of civil society to meet her needs and those of her newborn baby. The pro-life movement has done tremendous work in building and reinforcing the infrastructure of civil society by strengthening faith-based, community, and neighborhood organizations that provide critical services to pregnant mothers in need. This work must continue and government must find new ways to empower and strengthen these armies of compassion. These important groups can help build the consensus necessary to end abortion at the state level. As John McCain has publicly noted, "At its core, abortion is a human tragedy. To effect meaningful change, we must engage the debate at a human level."
_________________________________________We definitely need a 'Human Life Amendment to the Constitution" and the majority of Christians I believe; believe just that. But over-turning Roe vs Wade is a positive step in that direction. Sometimes it is one step at a time. Making progress even though not ideal at the present; I feel it is far better to save millions of babies opposed to not saving any with an Obama presidency.

Anderson, Jill -The reason so many of us will not vote for McCain has absolutely NOTHING to do with Mike Huckabee running in 2012. It also has absolutely NOTHING to do with Obama.
It has to do with a vow that we made to God to ONLY vote for people who are champions for life and marriage. McCain is NOT one of those champions. In fact, he isn't even pro-life (unless you call letting the STATES decide if killing a baby is right or wrong "pro-life").
A vote for McCain is a DISASTROUS compromise. I won't vote for ANYONE who would kill even ONE of those little innocent babies. (To quote Dobson). I am so glad that I will one day be able to stand before God and tell him that I was a William Wilberforce of my day. That I never, EVER compromised on the issue of life or marriage. Voting for McCain would be a terrible, terrible compromise.

As I read the many comments of some who are looking to the 2012 election, I am reminding of a story about the first king of Israel whom God rejected because he did not want to wait on God's timing when he offered up a sacrifice that should have been done by Samuel.
I'm sure we all recall the story since I realize I am preaching to the choir. The point is that sometimes we get in a hurry for our own will or we are fearful as King Saul was, and we do not want to wait on God's timing for certain things to happen.
Now it would seem to us that it would be God's will for Gov. Huckabee to be president because that is what we want, however, we all know that God works in mysterious ways his wonders to perform.
There are many situations that could occur as an opening for Gov. Huckabee to be president--remember Gerald Ford? He was not voted into office when he became president. However, it is my opinion that if we Huckabee supporters try to create an election for him, I just don't see it happening.

I'm clinging to the following: Romans 13:1b: "there is no authority EXCEPT FROM GOD, and those which exist ARE ESTABLISHED BY GOD." This is an absolute, and its wording says to me that this also includes our enemies. As "riled up" as I am about this election, there is that "peace that passes all understanding" in knowing that God is sovereign and that He's in control.

The reason people are flocking to Obama is because Obama puts out a message that tickles people's ears like most modern day preachers. Doesn't he know that actions speack louder than words?
If this country was run on Biblical principals just as to founding fathers of this country did, we wouldn't be in this mess.
People...read through the Book of Ecclesiastes!. God used one of the riches and wisest man in the world, Solomon, to pen the Book. With all his riches he prays for more wisdom. He tells how all the riches in the world never satisfies but wisdom from God does. -

President George W. Bush presided over 6 years of the best economy we've ever had and the Democrats demolished it in 2 short years since 2006 when they took office.
Ohio elected a Democratic Attorney General named Marc Dann and we've already thrown him out of office for adultery and sexual impropriety with a subordinate woman.
THE DEMOCRATS RUINED CONGRESS IN 2 SHORT YEARS!
We should SHOUT THIS from the HOUSETOPS!
******* ******* ******* ******* *******
An e-mail that should be posted at the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty and the Washington Monument...
TO ALL MY FRIENDS....LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE........FYI only.
George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.
A little over ONE YEAR AGO:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year HIGH;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a GALLON;
3) The unemployment rate WAS 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) American's were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living LARGE!...
But American's wanted 'CHANGE'! (Sound familiar?)
So, in 2006 they voted in a DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS and yes -- we got 'CHANGE' all right.
In the PAST YEAR:
1) Consumer confidence has PLUMMETED;
2) Gasoline is now OVER $4 a gallon & CLIMBING!;
3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% INCREASE);
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS and prices still DROPPING;
5) 1% of American homes are in FORECLOSURE.
6) As I write, THE DOW is probing another low--9,995--$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS!The PRESIDENT can SIGN or VETO BILLS presented to him by CONGRESS, but CONGRESS is the ONE who PRESENTS these LAWS.
YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE...AND WE SURE GOT IT! ...
REMEMBER: The PRESIDENT has NO CONTROL OVER ANY of THESE ISSUES, ONLY CONGRESS.
AND what has CONGRESS done in the last TWO YEARS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
NOW THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE for PRESIDENT CLAIMS he is going to REALLY give us CHANGE along with a DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS!!!!
JUST how much more 'CHANGE' do you THINK you can STAND?
******* ******* ******* ******* *******
It's time to RUN THOSE terrorist sympathisizing, wacko, unpatriotic, immoral, liberal, baby slaughtering DEMOCRATS out on their EARS!

Do it right!!
Obama is ahead because there is allot of people that do not have cable or Fox News, The ones they get like CBS and the others are clearly for Obama.
Tonight is McCain's opportunity to tell the world the truth about all his issue, He also needs to make Obama look like a kindergartner on the economy, this is clearly where Obama is getting most of his support.
McCain can't only say it, he needs to spell it out so those that do not understand this kind of stuff will understand!!
Governor Huckabee, Maybe you need to call McCain and help him prepare for this debate, Because we can not afford Obama!!!

Knock out these and Obama will fall !!!!
I see to many missed opportunities from McCain and Palin to really throw some blows.also believe McCain needs to present him self in debates to look as the teacher and Obama the student, The """you can't say that out loud""" comment did last time and it clearly bothered Obama and took if off his game.
* When Obama talks about the trillion's of dollars in offshore accounts McCain needs to look at him and say that's exactly what high taxes causes, You ain't learned that by now? That's why its called a tax shelter!
*When Obama brings up taxing the corporates and such, or Obama saying McCain is not for the working class. McCain should look straight at the camera and say to it, If your someone working at a factory then under his tax plan there is a real good chance you could lose your job especially if it competes in the world market. If its already showing signs of slowing you most likely will be with his outragesly high tax plan.
*When talking about getting out of the war before victory, McCain should say, It would be crazy to fight a raging forest fire, get it under control and just stop before its completely put out. it would just get back out of control.
* Talking about oil and the environment, That's why we should drill our own so we can stop all these oil tankers coming from over seas, they burn a good bit of diesel that's hurting and also drill her takes away a lot of the chance for an oil spill. (no tanker- no oil tanker oil spill)
* Also McCain needs to understand that the average person know very little about politics so he needs to compare it to things people can understand like Jesus did.
* Also he needs some one liners- A speech or debate can be boring but put one or two good line in and it could go in to history. one liners makes it be remembered.
There is some others but these are the main ones where I see Obama opening up where McCain can come back with a punch, plus these issues are Obamas main ones, Knock out these and he will fall !!!!

Deborah?
McCain did not get his party's nomination until Sept. Chuck did 5 months EARLIER in April.
How could Chuck be too late when he clinched his party's nomination 5 months BEFORE McCain did??? I think you are confused about the term Nomination as your post does not make sense. Also, there was no reason for him to be in a Republican Debate in the primaries as he was going thru the process in his own party.
In the new 2008 Republican Party Platform of McCain/Palin it states commitment to a TWO STATE Israel. That may clear up some of the statements that people seem to be shocked about.
It is certainly NOT the Republican Platform of Ronald Reagan which is WHY MANY OF US LEFT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY IN DISGUST. Do you really blame us?
No harm in debate, as we all learn.

This was written by our friend, Dr. David Reagan, who has a respected nationwide TV ministry focusing on Bible prophecy. He clarifies thoughts shared by many of us in one way or another. See what you think!

THE ECONOMIC MELTDOWN
IS IT A JUDGMENT ON AMERICA?
by Dr. David R. ReaganDid you notice that the stock market collapse on September 29, 2008, totaled 777 points and occurred on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year? From my viewpoint, it appears to be a judgment on our nation that has the fingerprints of God all over it.
Keep in mind that President George W. Bush was the first president to propose the establishment of a Palestinian state, and for the past month he has had his Secretary of State in the Middle East trying to force the Israelis to give up their heartland.
The Word of God warns that nations who try to divide Israel in the end times will pay a terrible price. In Joel 3:2 the Lord says that He will "enter into judgment" against those nations that "have divided up My land."
We have sold out Israel for Arab oil, and we are paying the price.
But our treatment of Israel is not the only reason for this remedial judgment. Our worship of money is the other reason.
In my book "America the Beautiful? The United States in Bible Prophecy" published in 2003, I presented several scenarios that could explain the absence of the United States in end time Bible prophecy. They included such things as an internal nuclear attack by terrorists, an external nuclear attack from another nation, and a societal collapse due to internal moral rot. The only positive scenario I could conceive was the destruction of our nation due to the Rapture of the Church.
The very first scenario I offered was an economic one. I put it first because it was the one I felt was most probable. Here's what I wrote:
"The first thing that comes to mind is an economic catastrophe that will result from our out of control debt situation. The official outstanding debt of the U.S. government is currently 6.2 trillion dollars. That amounts to $21,540 per person. This debt is increasing at the rate of 1.1 billion per day! Private debt is even more horrendous. At the beginning of the 21st Century, there was a staggering $25.6 trillion of credit market debt outstanding in the U.S. That total represents a doubling of the debt burden since 1990. America's total debt, public and private (including state and local government) stands at around $32 trillion dollars! That's $115,322 per man, woman, and child. Amazingly, 52% of this debt was accumulated in the 1990s, a decade driven primarily by debt instead of productivity.
"There is no way to escape the conclusion that America has become a debt junkie. We are living on money we do not have and will never have, and sooner or later the weight of this debt is going to collapse our economy. One irony is that we have killed 50 million babies who could have been in the work force today contributing to our economic health by producing goods and services and paying taxes.
"I believe an unprecedented economic collapse is highly likely because money is the real god of America, and the true God of this universe is a jealous One who does not tolerate idolatry. God, by His very nature, is going to be compelled to destroy our false god."We are a nation driven by greed. The mortgage debacle which has caused the current crisis is due first of all to greedy people wanting to live in houses they could not afford. They were serviced by greedy banks who were willing to grant loans they knew the people could not pay because the banks intended to flip the loans quickly, making a fast profit. And all the while, greedy politicians were willing to look the other way while their campaigns received money from the greedy lenders who they were supposed to be regulating.
Republicans have run for office for years as fiscal conservatives, vowing to take good care of taxpayer's money. Yet, when they gained control of Congress, they fed at the money trough like ravenous hogs, and President Bush looked the other way, refusing to exercise his veto power. The result is that our national debt continued to skyrocket.
Greed motivates big business, big labor, big sports, and big religion. Every aspect of our society is infected with it. Relentless advertising encourages people to live beyond their means by relying on credit cards.
One sobering result of the current economic debacle is that it has made it almost impossible for John McCain to be elected, meaning that our nation is most likely going to receive the kind of leaders we deserve. We could well end up with the most liberal president in our history, one intent on expanding abortion to include infanticide, determined to retreat internationally from the threat and challenge of Islamic terrorism, and committed to packing our Supreme Court with ultra-liberals who will hold our Constitution in contempt.
The Bible teaches that when a nation rebels against God, He will first raise up prophetic voices to call the nation to repentance. The Lord did that years ago here in America when he began to call for national repentance through voices like Dave Wilkerson who also warned us in graphic language of the consequences if we refused to repent.
When prophetic voices are ignored, God always resorts next to remedial judgments, which increase in ferocity over time. We have experienced a whole series of such judgments, beginning with our loss of the Vietnam War. Other judgments have included such things as natural disasters, epidemics, crop failures, political corruption, crime, and immorality. According to Romans 1, what God does in times of national rebellion is lower the hedge of protection around the nation and allow evil to multiply.
The biggest wake-up call occurred with the attacks on 9/11. But like a sleepy person, we just rolled over, hit the snooze alarm, and went back to sleep.
The most disturbing thing about all this is that the Bible teaches that when a nation refuses to repent in response to prophetic voices and remedial judgments, a point will ultimately come when God will deliver the nation from judgment to destruction. Our nation currently appears to be on that threshold.
Let us pray for our nation as we have never prayed before. Let each of us pray prayers like the one Daniel prayed in Daniel chapter 9, where he took the sins of the nation upon himself and asked for forgiveness. After all, all of us are responsible to one degree or another for the sins of our nation, either due to our participation in them or our unwillingness to speak out against them. Let us pray for God to show us grace by not giving us the kind of leaders we deserve. And let's pray for a national revival that will sweep many people into the Lord's kingdom before it is too late.

I don't think that the media's role in the outcome of this election is completely understood. Not only is the media not accurately or fairly reporting facts, they are attempting to and somewhyat succeding in persuading people that: A) John McCain is old and out of touch (houses, economy, etc.), B) Gov. Palin is not ready to be president and beyond that she is a terrible human being, and C) Sen. Obama is flawless and if there are flaws you will not hear them from us.
The constant barrage of character assaults on the persons of Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin have resulted in a faulty perception of them. Yesterday in a grocery store I met a good Christian man who was planning to vote for Sen. Obama. In the discussion that followed, he explained to me that Sen. McCain was out of touch and an elitist and that Gov. Palin was not qualified to be VP. He told me that this is what he had heard from the news stations and read in the newspapes. This is one person, but this sentiment is shared by many others who do not take or have the time to investigate the canidates for themselves and therefore allow the loudest voices to tell them who should be President and who should not be President.
I write the above to encourage Gov. Huckabee to keep up the fantastic work and to encourage all who visit this site to constantly pray for Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin as well as Gov. Huckabee. If the MSM continues the nightly routine of McCain and Palin bashing without another voice to call question to the garbage that they spew, then Sen. Obama will win, not because of his platform but because he is not Sen. McCain or Gov. Palin.
In fact, every Obama supporter I know echoes the same sentiment to me, I'm voting for Obama because.........and then some variation of he is not four more years of Bush. They, like most Americans, have no idea who Sen Obama is. Not only is there no record to reveal Sen. Obama's stances (except a record that stands in contradiction to the change he preaches), there really is even no record of who the man is himself.
I think that it says alot that the MSM has decided the smear campaign is the way to defeat the Republican ticket. They don't and have not made any kind of case for Obama. They try to make the case against Sen. McCain.
Gov. Huckabee's voice has been heard and appreciated by many truth seekers, and I pray that he will be strengthened as election day approaches. Take the MSM to task Gov. Huckabee, it's time someone does before they end up declaring Obama the winner in November while at the same time deciding that win.

Governor Huckabee, I would like to make a suggestion for you to have Donald Trump on your show. In light of the problems with the economy and the fact that he is a self made man based on judging the economy in his buying and selling of real estate among other things, I think he would be a fascinating guest. Would love to hear his take on the bailout. I saw an interview he gave in January or February where he spoke very highly of you and the campaign you ran. (you knew how to work the media to your advantage with little money). He thought the pulling of the Romney ad was brilliant because the media ran it for free. (don't know whether that was the intention, choose to believe not, but either way you were a hit!) I believe he would be a BIG rating boost (not that you need one) but liberals AND conservatives would tune in to see him.

Joe, they're not begging for your money, they're stealin' it.
I don't think our government realizes that we are fed up. We've had it, period.
And if McCain doesn't start addressing our situation, I may yet sit this one out.
I am talking about the Fair Tax Plan and prudent over-sight. I'm talking about turning this economy around in a meaningful way, not Washington's way.
The bail out bill is a form of tyranny. I'm just sick of it.

You are not going to believe this!
There is an OBAMA channel on DISH Network programming! Channel 73 here in Ohio. It's running 24/7. I just discovered it when I was channel surfing!
McCain has to pull out all the stops. Be specific about his plans for our country and contrast them to Obama's. Point out every factual questionable association Obama's ever had.
And McCain needs to reform the tax code buy giving serious consideration to the Fair Tax Plan. This is a prime time for it. If ever our economy needed the Fair Tax, it's now!

I would LOVE to see Sarah Palin on your show, but would be extremely surprised if the campaign would allow it.
I'm not savvy when it comes to economics, but one thing is completely obvious about the Fair Tax. It would take power away from the bureaucrats and Washington/Wall Street gang, and that ain't a gonna be easy.
Just like Mike Huckabee and his affirmation that the people are the boss.
Listen to the sneers at Governor Huckabee's "populist" notions.

But the way I look at it, It's no longer about Huckabee being President this time around but more about Huckabee changing our Gov.
and Huckabee will not be able to with Obama in, McCain is Mikes only way and hope of doing this.Anyway, if Huckabee can do what we think he can it may be that he gets more done on the outside.

Keep up the good work Gov Mike, you have 4 years to get your name out there, with this show.... the guys where I work at Steelmill were mostly rooting for you in the primaries, they are tuning in to your show.
If John McCain loses this election and we are stuck with Obama for 4 years don't forget it was because of Rush, Hannity, Beck, Coulter and the rest of the "Elite Radio" The bible says you reap what you sow...... I will not forget its there doings. They are to blame. I believe with all my heart if Mike Huckabee would have been the candidate and Newt VP they would wipe the floor with Obama/Biden and their lies.
God please be merciful.
