I ask 2 things of you right now:
First, read this email completely. I’m including my thoughts on the “bailout bill,” and I believe you will find them of interest. Second, if you agree with what I have to say, support my efforts at Huck PAC so we’ll continue to have a strong voice and we’ll have the capacity to support conservative candidates all across the nation who will stand and fight for our conservative principles … especially in times of crisis like we are facing as a nation today.
Frankly, I’m disappointed and disgusted with my own Republican party as I watch them attempt to strong-arm a bailout of some of America’s biggest corporations by asking the taxpayers to suck up the staggering results of the hubris, greed, and arrogance of those who sought to make a quick buck by throwing the dice. They lost, but want the rest of us to cover their bets so they won’t be effected in their lavish lifestyles as they figure out how to spend their tens of millions and in some cases, hundreds of millions in bonuses and compensation which was their reward for not only sinking their companies, but basically doing the same to the entire American economy.
It’s especially disconcerting to see the very people who pilloried me during the Presidential campaign for being a “populist” and not “understanding Wall Street” to now line up like thirsty dogs at the Washington, D. C. water dish, otherwise known as Congress, and plead for help. I thought these guys were the smartest people in America! I thought that taxpayers like you and I were similar to the people at the U. N. who have no translator speaking into their headset - that we just needed to trust those that I called the power bunch in the “Wall Street to Washington axis of power.”
The idea of a government bailout in which we’d entrust $700 billion to one man without Congressional oversight or accountability is absurd. My party or not, that is insanity and I believe unconstitutional.
Will there be far-reaching consequences without some intervention? Probably, but we honestly don’t know since we’ve really never seen this level of greed and stupidity all rolled into one massive move. But may I suggest that letting “Uncle Sugar” step in and bail out the billionaires who made the mess will be far worse and will start a long line of companies and individuals who will demand the same of the government---which last time I checked means that they will be demanding it out of YOU and ME. This is not money that Congress is risking from THEIR pockets or future, but ours. Many if not most of us have already experienced lost value on our homes, retirement accounts, and pensions. Now they’d like for us to assume some further risks so they won’t have to.
What happened to the “free market” idea? Is that only our view when we WIN and when we LOSE, we ask the government to come in and take away the pain?
If you are a small business owner, is this the way it works at your place? When you have a bad month, a bad year, or face having to close, can you go up to Congress and get them to write YOU a fat check to take away your risk?
Some of what contributed to this disaster is too much government in the form of Sarbanes/Oxley. Some is due to the tax structure that created the hunger for companies to “game” the system. Some is the common sense that was ignored like loaning money to people who can’t pay it back.
Wall Street has become Las Vegas east, but at least in Vegas, people KNOW they are gambling and they don’t expect the government to cover their losses at the tables. In Wall Street, they do. And the American taxpayer burdens the responsibility.
If Congress wants to do something, here are some suggestions:
1. Eliminate ALL capital gains taxes and taxes on savings and dividends right now. Free up the capital and encourage investment. This is the kind of economic stimulus the Fair Tax would bring and if Congress is going to lose money, let them lose it with lower taxes, not with public dollar bailouts of private market mistakes.
2. Repeal Sarbanes/Oxley. It has failed. It was supposed to prevent this. It didn’t. Kill it.
3. Demand that the executives who steered their ships into the ground be forced to pay back the losses of their companies. Of course, they can’t, so let them work and give back to the government and they can live like the people they put on the streets or kept there. It makes no sense to put them in jail—that’s just more they will cost you and me. I’d rather them go out and earn money—just not get to keep so much of it this time. I’m not talking about limiting CEO salaries---just those of the people who now are up in Washington begging for help because they ruined their companies.
Attempts by Democrats and Republicans to blame each other is nonsense. They are both guilty and ought to own up and admit it. They all lived off big campaign contributions and the swill of the lobbyists who strong armed them into permission to steal. Enough of blame. Fix it!
This would be a start. If we don’t hold these guys responsible, we are all finished.
Your support today will send a strong message to our Party Leadership in Washington that we are fed up with “business as usual!” And it will give us the resources to support strong conservative candidates who are campaigning hard for election this November. Those folk who share our beliefs and who will fight …not bail … on our principles. I suspended my postings, as most of you have done as well, to watch the Vice Presidential debate. And WOW, Sarah Palin really held her own, and showed her spunk and breath of fresh air. I was even amazed at Gwen Ifill as moderator. I thought she was very fair. I had responded to an earlier posting urging to have her step aside for a moderator that would not be biased, and sent my e-mail asking for her to be replaced.
I'm encouraged that tonight's debate will help to bring the polls up for McCain/Palin. I pray that next weeks debate between McCain and Obama will go in McCain's favor as well.

I have been a Huckabee Ranger since it first started. I'm not sure why it is no longer showing on my postings. Maybe it stopped, when Huckabee stepped down from his campaign to organize the HuckPac, and I need to rejoin? Whatever the reason, I am still a strong Huckabee supporter and will remain that way until Mike so designates loyalty elsewhere.
I don't mean to anger you with my postings, as I am a 78 year old Born again Christian, and I believe you are also.(maybe not 78).
I am not blinded to the things you are saying, and I am against the North American Union and the Super Highway that plans to run right at the edge of my town in Iowa. I already knew all the things that you posted, and am well aware of the Illuminati in control of which candidates get elected that will do their bidding in the New World Order. I have heard all these things since the early 1970's, and have at one time, along with my husband, been a member of the John Birch Society. This organization first founded the newspaper, which now is the American Free Press, that I have stated in earlier postings is too antisemitic. I have never seen anything that resembles Christianity in this paper, so I avoid it like the plague.
I pray that God will raise up just the right man that He wants to control this country. I felt Mike Huckabee was that man, but I leave it to God's appointing. We just may get the man we deserve, since our country has fallen to such a low depth in morality, apathy and Me-ism.
We are in the End Times, and everything is pointing to the Anti-Christ to come onto the scene and solve all our monetary problems and give us a False Peace. But "Praise the Lord" His son Jesus Christ is coming to take all those who have put their trust in Him home to be with Him before all the prophesied destruction will take place.

I agree with huckabee4u!There is NO WAY I will ever vote for McCain. Once again, just yesterday, he proved that he is NOT with us. He voted FOR the "billionaire bailout"!!! (Huck would NEVER have done that!!!)
We already know that McCain is not a SOCIAL conservative (Letting the STATES decide if killing a baby is right or wrong? Letting the STATES decide how to define marriage? Seriously...GIVE ME A BREAK!), and his pro-amnesty for 12 million illegals and his yes vote yesterday proves that he is not FISCALLY conservative either. If a person is neither socially conservative NOR fiscally conservative, how can he call himself a "conservative"? How did so many people become so blind??? Where are the William Wilberforce's of our day - who fight for what is right (but not always popular), rather than voting for the lesser of two evils?
People...GOD chooses our leaders, not us. I vote FOR someone...not AGAINST someone else (i.e. Obama).
I'll vote for conservatives on Nov. 4th. That vote will NOT include McCain.

Dear Huckabee4U: I watched all of the 11 part series From Freedom to Fascism. I was persuaded that (a) there is no law that compels US citizens to pay Federal income taxes, (b) the IRS uses heavy handed methods, (c) the Federal Reserve Bank is a private corporation run by bankers, and (d) the big bankers do conspire to create a new world order with a single government that has potentially intrusive control over our lives.
I was on the side of the moderator every step of the way, because as a Jeffersonian and not a Hamiltonian, I hate to see power concentrated in the hands of the few, whoever they might be.
From the tone of your messages on this website, you obviously believe the danger to be acute, and the need for action great. However, I have two questions for you. First, how would things be any different now if Congress HAD vested in the IRS a century ago the power to tax individual citizens? And second, when it is asserted that the intent of the evil bankers is to control our lives, who are these bankers, and why would they want to enslave us any more than is necessary than to ensure their own wealth?
I ask these questions not because I do not agree that our government, and not some bankers, needs to control the money supply of the US, but to explore what needs to be done to put the American people back in charge of their own destiny. I think this latter issue transcends the film, and gets to the heart of the financial meltdown that seems to be occurring around us.

Actually, we have already had a "one world order" ever since we created the Federal Reserve.
I'm not sure that Congress will ever institute the FairTax unless Christian leaders stand up and speak out and back candidates like Mike Huckabee and Chuck Baldwin.
However, we can't quit the system. We must work with Gov. Huckabee and win in the Republican party.
Follow Ronald Reagan's example and keep speaking out for 4 more years and stay with the GOP.
To let Obama win, would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.
As much as I love Alan Keyes and Ron Paul, they sound like fanatics when they speak.
As much as the American people would love to get rid of the IRS and the Federal Reserve, Congress will have to hear a LOT LOUDER NOISE from conservatives and their leaders than they are hearing right now.
We have to appear reasonable.
No, we probably can't eliminate the Dept. of Homeland Security, National Education Association and the IRS all at once.
I'm not sure we would want to eliminate the Dept. of Homeland Security after 9/11.

In your October 1st posting, you are calling on people to sign on to Dennis Kucinich bill asking for the impeachment of President Bush. Then who do we get, Vice President Cheney, or worse yet Nancy Pelosi? God Forbid!!!
I know we are in a dilemma...but let's be sensible, stay the course and wait for the election, that I pray will not go to Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
There is no way that Chuck Baldwin could be elected without more notoriety and more time to be recognized. I didn't even know anything about him until your postings. How many more people are unaware of him? A vote for his ticket this election only takes away from McCain and would even be more of a shoe-in for Obama to win. Maybe in the 2012 election there will be more time to get his recognition...but there is not time for this election.
I appreciate your zeal, but am wondering why you bear the Ranger seal on your postings, yet are pushing an agenda that is not on the huckpac goal? (At least not a posted agenda by Mike Huckabee).

Are we being Lied to!!!
If it's like what I described before I can understand the urgency and the way it was done, still don't agree with it but I would rather us to own the property rather then China or another nation which seems to be the case.
The good and bad about this is we probably lost our credit with the rest of the world and will be harder to borrow capital for our economy but it shows now the urgency to get trade balanced and jobs back to the US, (they have no choice) I see no better way then the fair tax.
It also shows McCain's plan at lowering capital tax to 25% a better plan then Obama's which will run more jobs off.If this is what happen I can not see where Wall Street is the blame. looks more like Washington , the banks and our personal debt is the blame. Wall Street goes by the data giving to them by the company which from the banks reports showed them doing good up until the truth came out.
This is why Wall Street is showing we have a good economy because they are looking at data that the companies are showing them which is probably miss leading due to the facts the company wants to look good on paper in order to sell stocks.

Gwen Ifil should step down from moderating the Vice Presidential Debate and admit that she has a major conflict of interest in the book that she has written that has Obama's name in the title and is due to be published in January 2009.
Gwen Ifil has a vested interest in Obama winning this presidency and cannot guarantee that she will be impartial as moderator or avoid any appearance of impartiality.
As a Republican, I am offended by Gwen Ifil's behavior. Not because Ms. Ifil is African American, but because she will profit from the sale of a book mostly if she swings this election toward Obama.
Gwen Ifil should let Jim Lehrer moderate this V.P. debate.

I'm starting to think that Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae is the GOV. way of borrowing capitol from other nations using our property as collateral.
Why else would other nations banks be in trouble because of this unless the put up the money, and why else would other nations put pressers on us to do this. and why else would China say no more lending to America banks. So maybe we are being pressured to buy these loans back by the other nations. Because why else would we want to take money out of our reserve when it's going to run up inflation by driving the Dollar downIf this is true it makes sense, it also explainse why our GOV was pushing these banks to make more loans, because it bring more capitol back in to our economy.
This also would explain why we do not do anything about China's unfair trade practices and have no leverage in the world now.This would also explain why congress went ahead and did this even though 75% of the people was against it.
I don't know if all this is what's going on but this would make more sense to me. it just adds up better then any thing else.

Someone, I think huckabee4u, posted that “Congress has declared martial law.” This requires some clarification.
“Martial law” in this context is a metaphor for a parliamentary procedure under which Congress limits the time between the introduction of a bill and the vote on the bill. This results in members of Congress being forced to vote without knowing what they are voting for. It's bad, but it's not what you think when you first see “martial law.”
Just to give some context: a few years back, when the Republicans had the majority and the Democrats were blocking judicial appointments, there was discussion of the so-called “nuclear option,” which was a procedure whereby the Republican majority would be able to avoid a filibuster by a simple majority instead of the usual requirement of 60 votes.
So let's remain calm… we aren't really under martial law, just like the senators didn't really come to the brink of lobbing hydrogen bombs at each other. Although after tonight's vote, I wish they would!

Don't go too hard on the Republicans who vote YES on this bill.
They were getting lots of emails from small business owners all over the country who may not be able to pay their employees today, and some small business owners that have gone out of business already.
If we boot our conservative Republicans out, we will fill the house and senate with far more liberal democrats like the ones who caused this mess by pushing the bad sub-prime loans in the first place.
This bill is really not much different than the annual budget they haggle over a couple times a year anyway.
A trillion here, a trillion there, it doesn't seem like much when you throw around $11 to 12 trillion every year.
The only reason it seems like a lot of money to us is because we were all watching on C-span this week.
What woke them up was the 10% market drop in one day which took 1/10th of the value out of the market and out of corporations who lost $1 trillion in one day.
If that had kept up, our nation would have been bankrupt in 7 more days.
The best thing to do is to keep donating to HuckPAC and help Gov. Mike & Janet Huckabee help elect MORE GOOD CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS so they are not all by themselves in Congress!
We need to get McCain and Palin elected now and give them a Republican majority like we had four years ago, so we can build a majority and a framework to introduce the FairTax.
They will take us seriously when we follow ou leader Gov. Huckabee and get more conservative Republicans back in Washington.

A couple of HONEST congressman are spilling the beans and saying that this is why China and England, etc has toned down their anger about our bill. They are demanding that it pass because it is to pay off FOREIGN bad debt. You read right. US taxpayers are going to be paying off Foreign investers.
Forget about calling congress about this bill. CALL Dennis Cucinich's office in Congress to have him add this to his already written 35 articles of Impeachment that almost a million people had already signed and let him know you are in full support from is added fraud on the American people. He has flat out lied about this bill, the economy, 9/11, the war on terror, the Patriot Act, the SPP, the coming North American Union, the fact that Congress declared Martial Law on Saturday night and still has not told the American people, the Full Control of our Media, etc, etc, etc Either get rid of this whole administration and all of its cohorts in crime in Congress or the death of the US is at hand.
Impeach George W. Bush ASAP! Call Dennis Cucinich and there are a few other BRAVE Representatives that have signed onto this. The rest are CORRUPT to the core in BOTH parties.

They already just this week bailed out the auto industry. It was 25 Billion dollars and remember before the 700 billion bill, they had already bailed AIG, Fannie and Freddie,etc, etc, etc.
PLEASE take the time to watch these documentaries that was the start of changing my view of our government FOREVER! There is SOOOO much more truth I can lead you to, but PLEASE start here first.
The man that made these lost his life a little over a year ago. This was his legacy to America. On his tombstone are the words, "Freedom Fighter" and he wished us the best in continuing the fight.

Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending

In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders.
The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring.
Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.
In addition, banks, thrift institutions and mortgage companies have been pressing Fannie Mae to help them make more loans to so-called subprime borrowers. These borrowers whose incomes, credit ratings and savings are not good enough to qualify for conventional loans, can only get loans from finance companies that charge much higher interest rates -- anywhere from three to four percentage points higher than conventional loans.
''Fannie Mae has expanded home ownership for millions of families in the 1990's by reducing down payment requirements,'' said Franklin D. Raines, Fannie Mae's chairman and chief executive officer. ''Yet there remain too many borrowers whose credit is just a notch below what our underwriting has required who have been relegated to paying significantly higher mortgage rates in the so-called subprime market.''
Demographic information on these borrowers is sketchy. But at least one study indicates that 18 percent of the loans in the subprime market went to black borrowers, compared to 5 per cent of loans in the conventional loan market.
In moving, even tentatively, into this new area of lending, Fannie Mae is taking on significantly more risk, which may not pose any difficulties during flush economic times. But the government-subsidized corporation may run into trouble in an economic downturn, prompting a government rescue similar to that of the savings and loan industry in the 1980's.
''From the perspective of many people, including me, this is another thrift industry growing up around us,'' said Peter Wallison a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. ''If they fail, the government will have to step up and bail them out the way it stepped up and bailed out the thrift industry.''
Under Fannie Mae's pilot program, consumers who qualify can secure a mortgage with an interest rate one percentage point above that of a conventional, 30-year fixed rate mortgage of less than $240,000 -- a rate that currently averages about 7.76 per cent. If the borrower makes his or her monthly payments on time for two years, the one percentage point premium is dropped.
Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, does not lend money directly to consumers. Instead, it purchases loans that banks make on what is called the secondary market. By expanding the type of loans that it will buy, Fannie Mae is hoping to spur banks to make more loans to people with less-than-stellar credit ratings.
Fannie Mae officials stress that the new mortgages will be extended to all potential borrowers who can qualify for a mortgage. But they add that the move is intended in part to increase the number of minority and low income home owners who tend to have worse credit ratings than non-Hispanic whites.
Home ownership has, in fact, exploded among minorities during the economic boom of the 1990's. The number of mortgages extended to Hispanic applicants jumped by 87.2 per cent from 1993 to 1998, according to Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies. During that same period the number of African Americans who got mortgages to buy a home increased by 71.9 per cent and the number of Asian Americans by 46.3 per cent.
In contrast, the number of non-Hispanic whites who received loans for homes increased by 31.2 per cent.
Despite these gains, home ownership rates for minorities continue to lag behind non-Hispanic whites, in part because blacks and Hispanics in particular tend to have on average worse credit ratings.
In July, the Department of Housing and Urban Development proposed that by the year 2001, 50 percent of Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's portfolio be made up of loans to low and moderate-income borrowers. Last year, 44 percent of the loans Fannie Mae purchased were from these groups.
The change in policy also comes at the same time that HUD is investigating allegations of racial discrimination in the automated underwriting systems used by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to determine the credit-worthiness of credit applicants. -

In the past, markets were routinely propped up by the President's working committee on markets, more affectionately known as the "plunge protection team". By refraining from their normal daily infusion of cash into the markets, we would see just about what we're seeing today. If I was wearing a turban and threatened financial terror (crash) if I didn"t get Trillions of dollars (forget the $700billion, reliable economists have verified it would be trillions), I would probably be bombed into the stone age. Look up the definition of terrorism. Need I say more? Wake up and smell the truth. If its not credible, God will show you, but honestly do the research...
Check sources you agree with, as well as those you don't. Don't throw the baby away with the bath water. Remember how the mainstream media was sometimes quite inaccurate regarding Gov Huckabee during the campaign. -

Since I have shared with you how the income tax is actually unconstitutional and therefore an unlawful scam with NO laws to back it up.
The revelation of this reality has caused me to be AGAINST the Fair Tax which tax payers would be still paying and this time it would be lawful.
The solution that Chuck Baldwin is embracing after careful consultation with leading economists is a General 10% tariff on all imports. Other countries tax 30% or more on our imports to them. This is constitutional and what our Founding Fathers intended.
Do you know that ALL of our federal income tax dollars go to pay the Interest to the Federal Reserve in order for them to print our money and borrow it from them instead of Congress fulfilling their constitutional obligation to do this? We pay INTEREST for them to do this. So that means that if we did away with the EVIL, CORRUPT Federal Reserve private Central Bankers that our economy and its obligations would not skip a beat as far as providing services to our citizens?
Did you know that our defense budget is Exactly the amount that comes from Corporate taxes which are the only constitutional form of income tax? So we would not lose a thing by relieving the people from Unlawful personal federal income tax?
He would abolish the IRS, Federal Reserve and return to our US Constitution. Return to sound money that is not printed up out of the air, thereby stopping this runaway inflation as our current system leads only to one thing....the complete collapse of our dollar which is EXACTLY what these bankers want. Then their solution that most Americans do not realize is about to become a reality. They already have integrated us into a North American Community and this will be there next well-planned and already signed proposition to supposedly save our economy?
We are in the very fight for our lives to save our country and what freedoms we may have left. False prophets are rampant and people are running to and fro in a frenzy and common sense, to say nothing of Godly principles, is getting more scarce by the day. We know this is all to be expected as we are told this in the KJV epistles , in the last days before Christ returns. But until Jesus comes, I hope and pray to do my best to point sinners such as I to Jesus Christ, the only Saviour of the world. Having said that, I shake my h ead in total disbelief at how people have fallen for Barrack Obama's great swelling words of nothing. But then I have to remember that after we Christians have left this earth in the rapture, the antichrist will appear with all the answers the people left behind will want to hear. I used to wonder how could this be but I look around now and I see the mindset is already here But so long as I am still on this earth, I will not sit down and forsake the sharing of the gospel nor will I forsake standing for the Godly principles to be in place in our government. (By the Grace of God) Thats the reason for my support of Senator McCain and Governor Palin and for my fervent prayers that there will be a place for Gov. Huckabee's counsel and example. I sent e-mails to my representatives yesterday thanking them both for voting the will of their constutuents--against the bailout.
One of them is a HuckPAC candidate--and the other is HuckPAC calibre.
Bernard Goldberg put his career on the line some years ago to publish an exposé of media bias--one anecdote he related was of a tv journalist immediately after Reagan was elected--the reaction? "I can't believe it! I don't know ONE PERSON who voted for him!"
'nuff said!
Some time ago, I raised my HuckPAC goal considerably.
I'm volunteering on the phone bank of one of the HuckPAC candidates, who happens to be running in my district. I anticipate working about 40 hours for him.
What do you think an hourly wage should be? Donate that amount to R23745, and I'll wear YOUR name as I work that hour! (Please post the name you want me to wear!)

I heard Jack Kemp the other day say something very similar on the radio. He is a patriotic American with much government experience, and has no ulterior motive that I know of, so I tend to trust that he is right. I believe you are correct, also.
