It is good to be able to get back to work again. I have been eagerly awaiting the launch of Huck PAC if only to end the media speculation about the “Doomsday clock” that has been running on MikeHuckabee.com for the last week.
Seriously though, Huck PAC is something I am very excited about. As I campaigned across this country over the last fourteen months I met families and individuals eager for change in Washington and the Republican Party.
Many felt that their Party needed to get back to its core principles: less government, a strong national defense and unwavering support for the family and the sanctity of life.
I campaigned to be the agent of that change and while we may have come up short, I remain and I hope you do as well, undeterred, because the campaign was never about me.
If it had been, I can assure you I would have gotten out of the race long before the Ames Straw Poll when generous pollsters had us trolling at 2-3% in national polls. I stayed in the race then because my campaign was always about the issues and the voters. The folks that felt invisible and overlooked and who believed that Washington wasn’t fighting for the same principles they believed in.
Enter Huck PAC.
Huck PAC is founded on the principles that make America great: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. And because we believe our Republican Party embodies these ideas and is best suited to lead America forward, we are committed to supporting Republican candidates who are passionate advocates for tax reform, a strong national defense, real border security, life, the family, less government and individual liberty.
We will identify candidates who hold firm to these principles, promote their campaigns and financially support their efforts.
Today I am blogging to welcome you to our website and to ask for your support. If you are eager to help, here are five ways to get involved:
1) Sign up for our email updates.
2) Make a contribution of $25 or more in support of Huck PAC. Identify and encourage 2-3 people to match your contribution.
3) Join the discussion on our campaign blog.
4) Join our Facebook and MySpace teams.
5) Add your blog to our blogroll.
Thank you again for your interest. I encourage you to leave a comment and stay involved.

Let’s face it; we are currently enduring one of the longest recessions that we have had since the Great Depression, being exceeded by only two others. Could we possibly be facing another economic disaster like we did in the 1930's? America’s habits of consumption are unprecedented across the globe. There is no other nation, which consumes more than we do. We are a nation that never fails for wanting the latest and greatest of everything and if we can't afford it, there is an abundance of financing options such as short-term installment loans, payday loans, or credit card cash advances that help us to obtain it. Despite the economic downturn in this country we must remember to be thankful, as even in our current state we have more than most could ever dream of being thankful for. We have lots of options to choose from and to help us in our current financial mess. So, wake up America, count your blessings, and be cautiously proactive in limiting your consumption habits. Practice conservation so that you will have more yourself as well as more to give others. Hi Mike, i am trying to get this message to John McCain, so he can win the election...i sent it to his daughter's blog. but i guess she never told her father? if John, will explain to the voters, that he will see that the Government, will buy the bad loans(mortgages), NOT at full value. but at a discount, from all the banks, etc...for 60%-70%
and NOT more than 75% of the value of any home Mortgage. this will give the Government
25%-40% equity in the homes they buy...and it will give the banks cash to work with. and the people can buy the homes at the same price the Government paid for them. and have equity in the proporty when they buy...
this will make the homes sell faster. and the Government, can give the homebuyer a lower FIX RATE, Mortgage, NOT an APR Mortgage! this will let the Government, get rid of all the bad home loans they buy. and the taxpayers money will be returned in time. people will be able to buy homes again for their families, with equity built into the home, when they buy. good for the Government, good for the taxpayer, good for the homebuyer, good for the banks!!! and for the people who have homes now, but can't afford to make the higher payments. the Government, can buy these bad loans at a discount, too. lower the payments on the home, to a payment the family can afford, and put the Mortgage on a FIXED RATE...this lets families stay in their homes...and for the families who lost a home to higher payments, when all this mess started. sell them another one of the other homes, at a discount, what the Government, paid. with payments they can afford, on a FIXED RATE PLAN!!! again, good for everyone!!!
Banks do this all the time, to make money!!!
paper trades at full value, but mortgages sell at a discount!!! the Government, can use this to buy bad home loans(Mortgages)!!!
AND NOW, for the fuel problem!!! there is a way to get free of foreign oil for good and fast, too!!! wind, solar, coal, oil, etc. are all
fine to work with. but lets not forget the one
fuel, we have more of than any other on Earth! and i want John McCain, to use this, too. to get himself elected!!! i know this is going to sound crazy to some! but i know it CAN BE DONE, if we put our minds to it... John, can have the Government, offer a 10 million dollar reward, for the first company, group, team, person, or studant, etc... that can prove they can make this work, and cost little to mass produce!!! but they MUST be able to PROVE, they can do it for real and at low cost, to the Government!!! the fuel i am talking about, we have now! but it cost a lot to make a little of it...but no one has ever tried to get it my way, as far as i know??? and 3/4 of the Earth is this kind of clean burning fuel!!! LAUGHT NOW!!! but OCEAN WATER IS THAT FUEL!!!! WATER is H2O, one part oxygen,
and two parts Hydrogen... Hydrogen, is the most clean burning fuel there is!!! all we need
to do is learn how to seperate the oxygen from the Hydrogen! then we let the Oxygen go into the air, and store the Hydrogen for fuel... and use the Hydrogen fuel for cars, plains, trains, factories, etc...and sell the rest
to the world... this gets the US out of debt with the rest of the world! and we make money selling Hydrogen fuel to the rest of the world... very good for the USA!!! and we could do this in a year or less??? i am and have
been working on this for a little while! but i would love to see anyone do it, to help our country become debt free! so, we never need foreign oil again!!!
Mr. Mike Huckabee, I hope you get this message, and will give it to John McCain??? cause, if he can explain the these plans to the people... I am sure he will be elected... because they are good for everyone!!!! -

Remember the teleconference call by Strang Communications? Well, I got my free "Character Makes a Difference" today!
I had to have my local library borrow it from another library so I could read it. Now I have my own copy! I love the book!
I want to keep it but I am considerating donating it to our local library because there are so many financially challenged people like myself in my small city. I want to give everyone the opportunity to read it.
I am really liking HuckPAC. Finally, a way to communicate to all of us that want conservative social and economic issues to once again be strong in our country. We know now who supports these issues.
And thanx to all that are coming on sharing for their local districts! This is great!
I hope Mike keeps this going for a long, long time to come. We need it.

MCCAIN BEGINS TO GET IT RIGHT
By DICK MORRIS
Published on TheHill.com on April 15, 2008.
John McCain built up massive popularity among American voters with his populist opposition to swindlers, liars and thieves, whether in business, Congress, labor or the defense community. His take-no-prisoners attitude toward corruption and his willingness to battle it wherever it crops up has made him an icon among our political leaders.
But in 2008, that John McCain has been under wraps as he catered to the Republican electorate.
Only the Arizona senator’s opposition to terrorism — to be sure, a real part of his agenda — was on display. His populism was anesthetized under a blanket of conformity and positive boosterism.
After he won the nomination, it seemed that he would continue fighting the Republican primaries forever. Bowing to the dictate to make peace with the fiscal conservatives who opposed him, he kept his sword sheathed and his mouth shut.
But this week, the old John McCain began to re-emerge. Articulating what tens of millions of Americans feel, he blamed the “greedy” of Wall Street for causing the current economic problems.
He noted that it was their insatiable desire to get rich quick that led to the sub-prime frenzy that undermined sound economic growth and created a speculative bubble that had to burst. And he said that, as always, it is the little guy who will pay the price when a recession hits, while the greedy who caused it make out, well, like bandits.
This is precisely the kind of populist rhetoric that John McCain needs to embrace to have a chance to win the general election. He has got to draw a sharp distinction between himself and the stewards of Wall Street and side with Main Street in their battle against easy wealth and special privilege.
By flanking the Democrats on the front of economic and social populism, McCain can be himself and can win.
Obama is making the social populist case against himself stronger with each passing day. His condemnation of small-town America and his elitist dismissal of religion, anti-immigration concerns and hunting as evidence of bitterness and the need for easy solutions was awful. Obama is, of course, right that trade protectionism and racial discrimination do, indeed, have their roots in bitterness and the need to scapegoat others for one’s own problems and shortcomings. But religion, concerns about immigration, and the sports of hunting and fishing hardly belong in the same category.
Through his own words, and those of his good reverend,
Obama is painting himself into an Ivy League ghetto reminiscent of that which kept Mike Dukakis imprisoned for the campaign. But it is up to McCain to carry the torch of economic populism.
He should castigate those who are pocketing their winnings earned by inducing the poor to risk all on mortgages they couldn’t afford even as their unscrupulous practices have led the country to the brink of recession.
He needs to take aim at credit card companies and student loan providers who are burdening our young families with debts that make it impossible for them to realize their dreams or to be the consumers we need them to be. He should go after the loose ethics of Congress, earmarking, and the plethora of abuses in our nation’s capital.
He needs to resume his role as the leading opponent of Big Tobacco in Congress, warning about its tactics in luring millions of kids into lifetime addictions.
He must demand that hedge fund entrepreneurs and other partnerships pay the same taxes as working people and end their special tax benefits.
Populism is neither left nor right. As a populist, McCain will bond with the average American opposing the elites that dominate the Democratic Party.
The real fissure in the Republican Party is not between centrists and conservatives. It is between the rich and the rest.
The country-club Republicans, perpetually defending privilege, are out of sync with the American people.
But McCain has always been in step with our priorities and it is refreshing to see him emerge anew onto the field of political battle.
This John McCain, the populist defender of people against privilege, can win in 2008.
The ever-so-cautious, watch-out-who-you-alienate Republican who won the primaries can’t.

Too much hate speech here.
Remember that Mike Huckabee had many charges during the primary.
Remember how unfair those charges felt.
Remember how Huckabee tried to rise above attacking others and to stick to the issues.
Remember how the charges kept coming and we watched are beloved candidate go from ahead in the polls to sink slowly down.
Remember who was doing this and who was not.
Remember Mike having to deal with his own followers betraying him by doing push-pull and with attacks on the other candidates with him unable to do anything about it but to say "I wish they would not do that".
Remember this is the web site of the future of Mike Huckabee.
Because much of what is here has nothing at all to do with the real Mike Huckabee and if he were to read it he would be in tears.
Keep in mind in his latest interview he called John McCain President McCain.
Many here need to study the real Mike Huckabee because the person they know is not the Mike Huckabee I know.
This blog is breaking my heart all over again. Attacks on other religons. Attacks on other candidates.
Like I said about 1/2 is nothing but hate speech some of which sounds more like the KKK that a Mike Huckabee support site.
I do want to thank those that know the real Mike Huckabee. You are the only reason I am still here.

I believe it's easier to help the Republican Party to change for the better when one is in it compared to being outside of it.

It's time to....in the words of highly respected author, Lee Iacocca, it's time to get the bums out of Washington...I AGREE... we had better do so !
HOW ? WELL LETS START HERE BY NOT PUTTING MORE "BUMS" IN WASHINGTON !
I put my trust and faith in not man,
but God only...and I am NOT an Evangelical....AS YOU WILL SOON SEE !
*My thoughts on McCain:
1. HE SUED A PRO-LIFE AGENCY !
2. He is up to his eyebrows in scandal.
3. He can't talk worth a lick...can't even read a prompter...I think even Barack Hussein Obama can do THAT !
4. He is an unfair jester . . . work for me, wait on me, do a Mexican Hat Dance for me...and get nothing in return type of guy !!!
5. He doesnt play an instrument !
6. He is a cheater ! Vicky Iseman, anyone ?
How could a man at his age be that dirrrty... especially with a wife on his arm as pretty as
Cindy...teeny bopper ways or NO teeny bopper ways...who he met as his mistress when with first wife.
7. He looks like he has one foot...two feet...forget it...he looks like he has 3/4 of his body in the grave !
8. HE IS A COMPLETE NAFTA RULER MENTALITY ! Can anyone say "John McCain to President Bush, John McCain to President Bush...come in President Bush ! "Come in illegal aliens and drug dealers, I WILL BUILD YOU A HIGHWAY AND FORGET AMERICANS !
Be banished good, normal people ! HA HA HA ! Theees ees thee PLAAAN !!!!
9. Lobbyists sleeping with him in D.C. and on his "Sideways Talk Express"...c'mon !His chief campaign manager,Charley Black SLEEPS WITH HIM (NOT LITERALLY, we hope) , is a lobbyist and owns Diebold VOTING MACHINES !
Little lightbulb going up over head ! Diebold + "lesser of three evils" = insta-win !
10.
Refuses to even acknowledge debates...party, religion, other people
you name it !
11. Tied (figureatively) one of the two Highly Respectable talking heads, Bill Cunningham, under the Roaring Express Train after telling him to give Mac's supporters "RED MEAT"...and then made Bill into the road kill. Nicely done Mac...such skill and finesse...huh huh huh huh huh ...
12. Should be running under the party of "Lying Liberal" instead of Republican...even B.O. and H.C. are at least shameless liberales . . . although pinko would have been more apropriate.
13. McCain manages to get EVERYTHING by the press...he's like that t.v. series "The Untouchables" ! Wait till they open the chest of Mc Cain arhives...for a democrat victory ...
14. He welcomes bigots with open arms...Rev. Hagee, anyone ??? Catholics are too forgiving to Mac.
15. Nafta is against Our American Independence and Freedoms..He supports it...relishes it ...and speaks of Globalization as if it were candy...not the ungodly poison it is.
16. He's a war monger ! He is vengeful ...and he lied about the amount of time spent.... time in the POW camps....they called him the crown prince...he exchanged secret info for favors..."Hanoi Hilton" was more of a "Hilton" for him....this is all over you tube...His priveleged background enabled him to cover his tracks/records...President material ?...hardly !
17. He is TOO chummy-chummy with his fellow junior senators...mostly Obama, but he is still in the proud liberal Sen.Club.
Barry, Johnny, Hilly...
18. He is a playing puppet...he could think for himself...he is certainly bright enough......will say what you want him to lately...
Romney promise for VP before anything "exciting" even happened....yeesh....
19. Has an all too flammable temper...do you want a president who gets up after a crisis and says " I feel awful that this $% has happened today.I will try to take care of the #@##* devils &*&^
&%$@@ !"
20. His health...Melanoma... not excellent..National Enquirer has noticed a red blotch...is he okay ?
***************************

That is why I will not vote for John McCain...
Liar....Shame-Based....no hope....
Dare you to print it.
p.s.I am very young, but I know better...most people dont even know he is running for office..........and to think I almost hit a ignorant bartender over the head with a beer bottle because he was voting for Hillary and not John McCain...I resent campaining for that nasty man.

We will vote for Mr Alan Keyes for the following reasons:
Seasoned statesman. Former Assistant Secretary of State Alan Keyes spent 11 PRAISEWORTHY years with the U.S. State Department.
He served in the U.S. Foreign Service and on the staff of the National Security Council before becoming :
Ronald Reagan's Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations (1985-1988).
In the interim, from 1983 to 1985, he served as AMBASSADOR to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, where he represented America's SOVREIGN interests in
the U.N. General Assembly.Alan Keyes has a Harvard Degree in Constitutional Government and worked under Ronald Reagan with Foreign Affairs...( NEEDED QUALIFICATION TO BREAK FROM NAFTA...AND SAVE AMERICA)
Mr Alan Keyes is pro- life, not wishy washy like Mac Cain, who sued a pro-life agency
( and depending on his MAC- Mood thinks fetus experiments are just dandy ! )Alan Keyes is against Nafta ( Bad ! )Alliance/World Order and Our Domination and Takeover of our constitution/government by NAFTA...unlike Mac Cain...who is stupid enough to admit to it, while the Dems cunningly skirt the topic.
Alan Keyes had the testosterone to leave this Decaying Elephant Party...to form a new community ---UNAPOLIGETICALLY !
Mr Keyes understands our inalienable rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness are not just empty words.
They are REALLY TRULY Inalienable God Given Rights..we are therefore not to be pushed around by the NAFTA trio and co.,
which Mc Cain supports (see Burt Noyes you-tube Video for Mac's honest admission of this Bolshevik Tactic) NAFTA BAD !
Alan Keyes has a Harvard Degree in Constitutional Government and worked under Ronald Reagan with foreign affairs...
Alan Keyes understand that because of the powerful few we will have fight to keep our Constitutional rights in America !
Otherwise we risk losing them.
His campaign exists because he sees our nation’s desperate need for repentance, renewal and revival....as does Mike Huckabee. He also has a clear decent effective vision for the future !
He is the ONLY presidential candidate WE trust to lead the Country !
For decades, he has stood out as a man among mice , dear to God’s own heart...His reputation, as was Mr Huckabee's is unimpeachable.
Unlike the three forerunner gag - reels !...Who we TOLERATE as discraces to the Office of the Presidency !
His perception of the issues facing our nation is straightforward and accurate and not immature or inexperienced and full of rhetoric.
His righteous anger is appropriate and refreshing, unlike Mc Cain's cursing, irrational anger .
Alan's eloquent, astute delivery is unmatched, except sometimes by Mr Huckabee.
His passion is contagious...as was Mr. Huckabees.
We will all support Alan...because we do not support the blatantly anti-constitutional NAFTA alliance or alive baby experimentation...on their stem cells !
We graciously request Mr Mike Huckabee to retreat from this "Den of Vipers" as Mr Keyes did...UNAPOLIGETICALLY and re-join the cause for Faith Family Freedom....
PS:
Jesus said 'Den of Vipers'...That is OUR Evangelical Bible Quote for the Day !Mr Huckabee if you ride in on Macs shirt-tails be prepared !
McCain will be confounded in True Biblical Fashion.
PS: I am telling everyone that I meet that we have a new African American Presidential Candidate who is campaigning...and is the only one with governing experience...Both Democrats and Republicans are Relieved...
Now if the propaganda Machine would only tell the truth in an accurate timely fashion...we might have a fighting chance...If Huckabee would help the Better Man...the ONLY Moral Standard left...then I think we could take the White House ! Ron Paul could come too !
It sure beats these discraceful three !

He will direct your paths."
If you still have a Primary in your state, vote for Mike. His name was at the top of my
Indiana Absentee Ballot.
Pray that McCain chooses Mike for VP.
Our nation needs a man of Mike’s caliber,
faith and strength. My vote for Huckabee in
the Primaries will not effect who the
Republican candidate is; but hopefully it will
send a message to McCain that he will need
evangelical conservatives on his side.
In November 2008, I plan to vote Republican.
Our numbers are needed to make sure
McCain in elected.
We do not want a democrat in office who
will possibly choose Supreme Court Judges!
Of course I'm still praying that MikeHuckabee will be McCain's running mate;
which would make my vote more enjoyable.
I pray that more Catholics realize that
McCain is the better choice since the
democrats think killing babies is ok.
I pray that those of the Jewish faith realize
that McCain is the better choice since he is
a friend of Israel.
In 2012, Lord willing; I look forward to voting
for Mike as President of the United States.
Until then, I will continue to hold the Banner
High. Keep the faith and Support those who
can make a difference in the world.
I joined Huck Pac and gave a contribution.
Mike is concerned about helping others in
the Republican Party get elected. For those

NAFTA LETTER FROM, GOVERNOR SANFORD
04/18/2008 11:33 PM
Hello Bonnie -
I hope you'll join ALL OF US in making YOUR VOICE heard for truly debating this issue, and for pushing for change that would come with that debate.
__________________________Dear Mrs Bee -
If I were a betting man, I would wager most people haven't followed the debate on REAL ID.
If you indeed missed it, I would ask you take the time to learn about what I consider:The most troubling piece of legislation I've seen come from Washington since I have been governor.
REAL ID would surreptitiously require all 50 states to change their driver's licenses to act as de-facto national ID cards.
It's outrageous, and not just because it was a backdoor way of doing something proponents in Washington have never been able to pull off in the past.
I say "outrageous" because REAL ID was never really debated in Congress; because the cost of its implementation is handed down to states and individuals; and because it is an affront to Americans' privacy concerns.Let's look more closely at a few of those concerns:
(1) Steroid use in baseball has now received more congressional attention than has REAL ID.
But national policy changes should be debated, not dictated.
This was not the case with REAL ID.
It never saw committee debate in the House or Senate, and passed as nothing more than a rider, an attachment, to a bill devoted to tsunami relief and military personnel fighting in the Middle East.(2) The cost of REAL ID, and the national ID card system that would come with it, would not be borne by the federal government but handed to the states and individuals.
So-called unfunded mandates like these keep the spending trains going in Washington. I find it amazing now that Washington has stacked up $50 trillion in debts, which amount to $450,000 per household, that their idea of keeping those promises rests on handing the bill to others.Nobody seems to know how many billions REAL ID will cost taxpayers at the state level.
Implausibly, the Department of Homeland Security has now revised its cost estimate downward from $23 billion to $9.9 billion.
But whatever the number it seems to me that if Washington wants something done, it ought to find a way to pay for it — and make sure that it can pay for it.(3) This proposal is one more step away from the Founding Fathers' vision of a limited federal government.
Our greatest homeland security is liberty, and the Founding Fathers believed our greatest threat to liberty was a central government grown too powerful. Accordingly, they set up checks on federal power by vesting authority at the individual and state levels.REAL ID disrupts this delicate balance of power in two ways.
First, it turns the Founders' logic on its head by forcing states to act as agents for the federal government in creating a national ID card for federal purposes.
Needing a REAL ID to board a plane or enter a federal building would also change the balance of power in something as seemingly insignificant as a visit to a member of Congress. As a former member of Congress, I had countless meetings with constituents whose personal details I knew nothing about.
Their background was not the issue; my stand on a given matter was.
The First Amendment guarantees Americans the right to assemble and petition their government, with no qualification that says, "Only if you have a REAL ID card."
On this, I think it would be best to let the Founding Fathers' original work stand.
(4) REAL ID will move DMV lines in our state up from 15 minutes to up to two hours, and those productive hours will not be regained in this lifetime.I suspect a similar phenomenon in DMVs across the nation.
(5) REAL ID falsely assumes our personal information will be safer in one spot in Washington rather than housed independently across 50 separate states. In the last couple of years, Washington has exposed the personal information of as many as 40 million Americans — not to mention the three presidential candidates — to potential theft.
To err really is human, but if you accept the reality that mistakes do happen and that bad people do hack into spots they aren't supposed to access — does it really make sense to put all this information into a central database?
(6) Finally, a host of loopholes would in many ways render this bill an inconvenience and cost to Americans — not the bad guys it is intended for.
These range from REAL ID having no impact in travelers with a foreign passports to the recent affirmation by the federal government that no form of ID is needed to board a plane.
In short, there are many faults in this bill that could be sorted were there debate in Washington on REAL ID.
I hope you'll join me in making YOUR VOICE heard for truly debating this issue, and for pushing for change that would come with that debate.
Sincerely,
Governor Mark Sanford

Hi Mike,
Wisdom is better than money. (Proverbs 16:16)
I've listened to some tapes by some of the most popular and talented business book writers and some of the most talented executives. One common theme among them is that they often have is a willingness to listen to advice from across the spectrum. Indeed even the great King David allowed people to come in and reprove him. Note the incident involving Nathan the prophet and how David heeded the advice of Joab (who he didn't like much) to go out and comfort his people. (2Samual 19:7).
Solomon repeatedly stressed the importance of heeding and evaluating rebukes and advice.
Having said that - Did the remarks of someone posting thoughtful concerns or questions about the "fair tax" vanish from the website?
I think the "fair tax" should be evaluated before it should be "pushed". I would like to evaluate the idea myself and not just get swept along by the tide of enthusiasm.
Brothers, let's get a reputation as thinkers.

HuckPAC,
Check out Kenny Hulshof, Republican candidate for Governor of Missouri. He's the conservative underdog in the race. He's up against a Republican opponent and a really tought Democrat.
We turned out our corner of Missouri for Mike. Could you at least check out Mr. Hulshof for us? We'd love your help.

Brian Roper: I'm with you. The postings here should be thoughtful, measured, and of general interest. Many come here to see if they want to join the Huckabee cause. We need to put our best foot forward. At the same time, everyone's opinion counts, the humble as well as the very talented writers who appear on this site. I for one am very glad that the site is back and look forward to great things coming from it.

To Ortix, Bonnie
I fully accept the charge of being a John McCain plant.
But then so is Mike Huckabee.
If you consider supporting McCain on a Huckabee web site then you don't understand why Mike Huckabee is doing the same.
Huckabee's comments talked me into supporting John McCain.
So I am proud to be a McCain plant because I am in good company.
I mean to me doing what some are doing (meaning bashing McCain without supporting someone like Mr Keyes) could be supporting Clinton or Obama.
But I'm not going there because I don't actually think that is what they had in mind.
Instead I am thinking that they can't get over Huckabee loosing.
Mike has got over it. So should we. He has said he is no longer running.
Say someone likes Mr Keyes. Say were he stands on the issues without attacking McCain.
Isn't that what Mike has requested? That we should stick to the issues of our candidate and not attack other candidates.
Isn't that why Mike was upset with Romney?
If you like Mr. Keyes then say why you do. Who know you may change Mike's mind, my mind and others.
Attacking John McCain is not the way to get Mike, me and other's to change our minds.

To: L Treible, Kevin 04/18/2008 10:40 AM; Bucklaw, Bonnie 04/18/2008 02:01 AM and anyone else who is like minded about Alan Keyes.
We agree with you. As I posted earlier, we are looking at Alan Keyes very seriously and voted for him in 1996. We don’t understand why he doesn’t get more support? We plan to give money that we would have given to Mike Huckabee’s campaign to Alan Keyes campaign, to Dino Rossi, and to Brad Klippert (both running in Washington State and both Republicans). We will not give our hard earned money to the NRC nor John McCain. We will try to give money personally to support specific Republicans when we can in good conscience.
Although we are still praying that Mike Huckabee will somehow be the Republican nominee in September. If he is not, we will probably vote for Alan Keyes in November. The problem we are seeing now is he may be running on the Constitution Party ticket, but we still prefer him to John McCain.
Again - Praise God that we still have freedom of speech and freedom to vote our conscience if we want to without feeling guilty. We do not believe that “fear” comes from God nor does He make you feel “guilty”. He does bring “conviction’ that sometimes can be mistaken for fear if we are not careful.
I have a hard time figuring out where to post what since we do not have the United States Map on this webpage (like we did on Mike's other webpage) where we can post state by state. So:

april 22 in pennsylvania is election day
i will, as promised, vote for mike
on the 23rd, however, i will begin supporting the candidacy of alan keyes...
i can not support any candidate or coalition that supports the unBiblical policy of dividing Jerusalem and gives away the Land of Israel to non-covenented people...this includes those here at huckpac who will be asked to support the eventual repub nominee...i will not support unBiblical policies toward Israel with my vote no matter what the choice
our policy towards Israel must be based on Biblical principles or else we will suffer the consequences...for that reason i must now support alan keyes for president
only if events change and mh becomes the party nonimee (all things are possible), then will i be able to still support the repub nominee...
as for now,
keep the faith that things will change

If you do a google search on 'odds of vice president 2008', you'll find betting odds where Huckabee is the 5/4 favorite for v.p., where Romney is only 1/8 (Huckabee is about 3 times more likely than anyone else to be chosen v.p. at this time)
But I am hoping and praying that in 6 months Mike Huckabee becomes the Republican nominee; don't know what'll turn that around, but there's alot of volatility out there; won't speculate, but I can see several scenarios that could upset McCain's 'inevitability' as the nominee. James -

For those of you who are upset/disappointed that Governor Huckabee decided to start HuckPAC.....Please read the following article which includes this quote....
"Craig Shirley, a GOP strategist who has written about the former president, said Reagan's PAC was adept at supporting conservative candidates while at the same time defining the future president's credentials ahead of his 1980 run.
"That's the best model, and I think if he was wise, he would use it," Shirley said of Huckabee.

It is too soon to assume that everyone here should just put this election cycle behind them, just move forward forgetting the injustices.
We cannot, we will not, we must not, forget or ignore what has happened this election season to our rights to a free and fair election process. When the sons and daughters of many fine American’s have given their lives by the thousands fighting to give the Iraqi’s the right to Vote. (Remember their purple fingers) Here in America our rights, our Constitutional rights to a free and fair election were violated. We aren’t going to get over this in a month or two. We may never get over this, because our Country is in big trouble. Many are simply devastated. We know how wonderful it would have been to have a man with integrity, like Mike Huckabee in the Whitehouse. Mike could have made the difference in getting this country back on the right track. We have not only been derailed, we are sliding down a slippery slope and hanging on for dear life. If McCain had won fairly and if the GOP hadn’t been so terrible to Mike, then it might not be so devastating. But please do not ask anyone here not to talk about the fresh wounds they have from this battle, if you don’t want to read them take the millisecond to scroll past.
One of the reasons Mike Huckabee launched this (PAC) Web site is to facilitate change in the GOP. Read what he said above. How can we make changes if we are unwilling to talk, hash, rehash and figure out the best strategy to combat the injustices that have taken place in this election cycle? There is really a big stinky elephant in the room! We have to deal with it!
Mike Huckabee said,
“As I campaigned across this country over the last fourteen months I met families and individuals eager for change in Washington and the Republican Party.”
“Many felt that their Party needed to get back to its core principles:”
I say,
What “change,” what “principles”? If we don’t talk about them how can we change? We can only move forward when the big stinky elephant get’s out of the way!
And it’s our job to move it!
Let’s get to work, Heave HO!

Gov. Huckabee~
It was refreshing to see you with Wolf Blitzer tonight... your old honest, down to earth self. What a contrast to what we saw last night at the Dem debate: Hillary was asked about her credibility regarding the Bosnia lies... she used a few euphemisms and said she was embarrassed for what she said... Then Barack tried to take the high road and explain that all candidates make those kinds of errors/gaffs… but it’s a mistake for voters to get obsessed with candidates lying; Obama said that instead we should really be thinking about sending someone to Washington who can change the culture there! Yes, we should send bigger liars so we can change the DC culture…. Ugh! How black and white can it get?! (no pun intended)… Anyway, its always great to see you on the news, Gov. -

............................................“If you vote for anyone, for any reason, who does not represent you, you have thrown away your vote. It doesn’t matter whether that person wins or loses because you have destroyed the very foundation of self-government.”
~ Dr. Alan Keyes -
America is the prodigal son, and we have a squandered legacy to prove it.
For more than 35 years, we have fattened ourselves on the fruits of our forefathers’ faith, while the innocent blood of 50 million rightful heirs has been legally shed in our midst. The exponential consequences of our bloodguilt are destroying the heart and soul of our nation, and we do not care.
We have wallowed in sin for so long, sin itself has become our icon; yet, we cannot define the three-letter word.Of course, we’re not all guilty of murdering babies, practicing sodomy, or voting for donkeys.
Some of us have just been too busy polishing our pigsties to notice the approaching mudslide.
Unfortunately, our ignorance and apathy have not stopped it from coming.
From dirt, God made Adam, and to dirt, our bodies will return; but do we exist to consume dirt?
Will we ever believe we have had enough? Is this pigheaded culture even capable of feeling remorse for its egocentric indulgence?
I shudder to think what it may take to break our hell-bent will and what God might allow to get the attention of a people whose conscience has been AWOL for generations.
Do we want to live in a land we can once again ask God to bless?
Then, why are we sitting here expecting someone else to do His work?
If Jesus stood in front of you or me and asked what we would be willing to do for Him, would we simply pull out our checkbooks?
When was the last time anyone anywhere did anything brave, humble, or even politically incorrect for God?And, why aren’t we fasting and praying for a leader who will uphold biblical truth and righteousness, regardless of the effect on our economy, our choice, or our pride?
At this point, it will take nothing less than a bona fide miracle to put a God-fearing man in the White House; and we must be expecting one to fall in our laps any day.We sit around playing the election shell game ad nauseam and look forward to starting all over again after the “real” election.
We’ve become experts at playing the quiet game, so as to protect our reputations, our jobs, and our tax exemptions.
We brag about voting for the lesser of two evils and call it political strategy.
We’re all acting as though some superman, fairy godmother, or president is going to swoop down and rescue us before the mudslide hits home.
The Bible makes it clear: throughout world history, the only man who has ever had the power to apprehend the soul of a people, cleanse it, and grant it amnesty is also God. He alone can save us. America cannot hope to survive if we refuse to live by the God-ordained principles put in place by our Founding Fathers.
I will vote for Alan Keyes for the following reasons:
He understands Who gives us our rights and why we are on the verge of losing them.
His campaign exists because he sees our nation’s desperate need for repentance and revival.
He is the one presidential candidate who consistently, straightforwardly, and unashamedly articulates TRUTH.
For decades, he has stood out as a man after God’s own heart.
His perception of the issues facing our nation is dead-on.
His righteous anger is appropriate and refreshing. His eloquent, astute delivery is unmatched.
His passion is contagious.
Vote for Dr. Ambassador Alan Keyes.
But, don’t expect one vote for one human being to stop the mudslide.
There is work to be done; and not one of us is above it.

I am in a quandry and I hope some of you Mike supporters can help me!
Like you, I was sooooo hoping that Mike would be able to keep McCain from acquiring the magic number of delegates. In the process, I went to our Washington caucus and was elected to represent Mike at the County level. I attended the County Rep. Convention, and was elected to go to the State Convention.
I have been a Republican for years and years, but I have never been this involved before.
When McCain refused to debate Mike, I felt that he did not care about us conservatives. There was much I had hoped to learn from him in a debate about his position on issues. When McCain refused to debate, I felt that he could not represent me. Period.
Like many other Huckabites, I have felt that the election is not really over yet. . . and feel that something (I don't know what) could still happen. So I want to go to the National Convention to be there and support Mike--if this unknown "something" happens.
But here is the problem: In WA, I have to agree to vote for the nominee if I go as a representative to the national convention. How exactly does this work? What if it all gets juggled at the convention?
Can someone enlighten me? I do not know whether to go ahead and go to the State and apply for the National - just to support a more conservative platform--even if I have to vote for McCain, or whether to step down and not go to the State.
At the county level, there was nothing about the sanctity of life in my county's platform. I was able to get a statement in the support of the sanctity of life added. So I do see that it is very, VERY IMPORTANT for us conservatives to be involved.
I look forward to input from others of Mike's supporters--especially in WA. My email is eledwards@rockisland.com
Thanks for all the comments!

I like this quote:
“God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift from God?”From Thomas Jefferson’s Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XVIII, 1781
