Ames Straw Poll - UPDATE

I'll be in Ames, Iowa for the Straw Poll on Saturday.  During the day, I'll be dropping by the various areas for candidates and have been invited to jam with bands for Tim Pawlenty, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, and Thad McCotter.  I hope to visit with all the campaigns during the day.  Some media have deducted that I am making an endorsement Saturday.  They're half right.  I am making an endorsement, but not of any specific candidate, which I don't plan to do at all for the foreseeable future.  I will be endorsing music---which I think is a civilizing force in an otherwise uncivil world.  There, national media---endorse that!   See you Saturday from Ames!

Hey Mike, I think that the debate would have been much more interesting if you were up there on stage speaking your words of wisdom.

Congressman Paul was an amusement to me-especially when he was talking about Iran and they should have the right to pursue NUKES. I'm not quite sure, but maybe he missed his MEDS? Who in their right mind would say such a foolish thing?!

Also, Gov. Pawlentys' attacks on Mrs. Bachmann made him look like a schoolboy bully. Peter

I endorsed music, too. Music helps with our emotional, mental and spiritual upliftment. The news can be very depressing, so we certainly need a good diversion to lead us to higher superior thoughts and to have fun despite our problems. Thank you.

We surely need a man like you, Sir, to be our President. I cried when you announced you were not going to run for that office. I cried again when I saw it in a rerun. I supported you in the last primaries and would do it again in a heartbeat. Respect is due to your decision since you sought Divine Guidance. I thought this would be one election in which I would not have to research the candidates because I thought you would be running. So that puts me back to square one and my research has begun anew. I pray I make the right decision and God blesses and spares our great nation. God bless you, Mike Huckabee, as you seek and follow God's will for your life. You are doing a great job trying to educate the masses!

Gov. Huckabee: I remember that when you were asked in 2008 whether Ronald Reagan would have endorsed you, you replied, you didn't know, but you endorsed him. That was a stunning answer.

Now in 2011, when asked who will get your endorsement, might you answer that you will endorse yourself? Given the economic events since you declined to run, there is every reason to believe that you could finish the job you started in 2008.

David Gergen wrote recently that America desperately needs another Winston Churchill. I agree with him. Who fits that description better than you?
